Fascinating indeed :) Yes, it would certainly be interesting to see more 20 minute cuts of the episodes. If/when does happen to resurface, the one I'm most intrigued to see the 20 minute cut of is High Tide (that is wishful thinking, I know, but I never thought a 20 minute cut of Warrior would exist, so anything is possible)
I really love the topic surrounding the series' time run. It gives an indication on not only the continuity of each episode, but also the show's ultimate fate. I enjoy what it is discussed in this video, Hazel. Very much so! 👍
When Tugs was looking at receiving a dvd release about fifteen years ago, it wasn’t discussed on which version of the first four home video episodes were to be restored/remastered. As we all know, David Mitton passed away before any major progress could started.
I would adore to see all of the 20 minute cuts of the episodes on DVD.
I hope the 20 minute cut of jinxed gets released to the public. It is confirmed to exist and the tugs exhibition currently has it

Also I’m fairly certain we’ll see the other 20 cuts, I’ve heard about a certain person owning all the 20 cuts and not wanting to hand them over unless paid heavily
The star tugs trust own several 20 minute cuts of some episodes I believe, but they are choosing not to show the content due to copyright, even though they have supposedly been charging people to show them the cuts privately at events. It's been confirmed that the Exhibition only own one of the unreleased 20's (which is a workprint of Warrior with it's original title as per the photobook). It is believed most of the other unreleased 20s do not exist anymore and Warrior's 20 is the only that survived to modern day.
As for why they claim copyright, TUGS: The Exhibition have been lying to fans in regards of copyright being an issue with the behind the scene materials (which includes the videos) being unreleased. Yet they charge people in person to see these materials off, which to me sounds much more illegal than just putting them online for free. Not to mention footage from Warrior's 20 had been shown off at a V.I.P event in 2022 with the Exhibition never saying once that recording is prohibited.
If it was so copyright sensitive, The TUGS Project would literally not exist as a result and explains why the Sizzle Reel (US Dub and shortened UK Dub) and the surplus of behind the scene pictures has been publicly released by Project with nothing from the rights holders (which is split between Robert D. Cardona and BMG) coming out against the releases.
@@SonicWalle thanks for the info! Ya, I know it’s not copyright sensitive, sorry I could have worded my comment better. I hope that one day the trust does put the full version of Warrior online, but seeing as how daft they are, regarding false copyright claims, trying to make a profit, and risking damage to the original props (and in some cases causing it) I don’t really know if that will happen.
I believe the US dub of Sunshine was also owned by the trust, and now that’s available to watch on CZcams, so maybe that’s a sign of hope? I only recently got into tugs a few years ago when I watched all thirteen episodes, and since I’ve been so curious behind the show’s production history and lost media. Honestly I find the show more interesting than Ttte, despite the fact that I’m more interested in trains than boats!

Iirc Bigg freeze was filmed as 20, it just wasn’t edited fully to 20

Where did you get the hd footage of warriors longest day I wanna watch it myself
The HD footage comes from the TUGS: A Bigg Retrospective documentary, where the TUGS Exhibition had sent silent clips to Lewis of ITH for use in the documentary. The full workprint in HD with audio is still not publicly available and I don't have a copy of the full workprint (because who has aside from Exhibition? as not even Lewis received a copy, only he was sent silent clips). Sorry if this sounds disappointing, but it's the unfortunate situation we have regarding Exhibition and the rare BTS footage.
