  • Here's my weekly violin practice! I wanted to post this yesterday (Sunday) but had some issues. So here it is today!
I had less material to practice on but got more challenging techniques/positions to work on!
    Enjoy! ❤️

Your bow hold looks so perfect and relaxed! Great job! There’s so much to learning the violin! Life long amateur here 🙈 on a long hiatus

I'm trying to learn these 2 pieces as well. What if you just take 1 measure that's giving you the most trouble, set your fingers, place your bow, play the note and stop the bow. Set your fingers for the next note, play that note, stop the bow. Exaggerated slowness. Might drive you nuts! But get those first couple notes into your fingers, then speed up the playing. Just a couple 2 or 3 notes at a time. I've had to split a measure in half, and just play the first 4 notes - over and over and over and....you get the idea. 😉 don't overwhelm yourself, and this piece will come together for you

That’s really good advice, yes it drives me crazy to play slowly but you’re right! Thank you! We can do this 💪

By the looks of how your bow is moving, and the way that your fingers moving through finger board of the violin and great position by the way. you seem a little stressed when you practice with the bow its a little shaky and the problem was that your little bit tense on your shoulders as well the bow is like breath and when you breathe the bow is not as shaky and the muscles get relaxed as when you are playing with your mouth close which the muscles tense up. by the way I used to play violin 6 years ago and i want to get back to it and good luck on your journey. :)

Oh yeah that’s one of my main issues, forgetting to breathe! 😂 thank you for reminding me, it’s such an important aspect to take into consideration!
Ohh, yes why not! Thank you so much and good luck to you too 😊
