Hell yes. Ghost Stories was an abridged series before abridge series were a thing. My nieces loved it. I think they were 13 and 11 when I showed it to them. I'm fairly certain the Japanese dub wasn't so different. I also heard the original creators for Ghost Stories told them to just have fun with it when dubbing it but to keep the story going.
What cracks me up about this is that they DECIDED to translate it that way. It's not even like we could see Trunks' face when he said the line, which means they didn't need to sync it up with his lips. They could have translated this any number of ways. "This man isn't the bad guy," or "That's not Goku Black." Instead, they created this hilariously offensive gem.
