Despite this being more comedy driven, the fight choreography and framing were fantastic.
That is what surprised me too! I shouldn't have doubted Cas just because I thought he has only made comedy animations. I thought that he would just make the fight into a low-effort but creative gags. Instead, he actually made them serious and blood boiling!
I liked the attention to detail like Goku and Vegeta hitting those iconic poses at 3:31.
@@altersky4060I love that nearly all (good) parodies of DBZ know to just leave the fight choreography alone and merely use it to show off their skills in their respective styles.
He did miss some stuff but why be anal about it lol. Like Gohan didn't cry the whole time it would've been sick to watch him bounce the spirit bomb and hit vegeta with it with this animation 😩 or maybe he wasn't trying to animate Gohan being straight up paralyzed and traumatized lol

Technically filler but in dragon ball kakarot and a few other times it shows goku being a good dad and showing gohan how to survive in the wild like a boy scout. It was honestly bad writing after the frieza saga that made him seem like a bad dad. Tbh it's fair toriyama made things up as he went along and his editors were constantly telling him to change shit. that's why cell and buu were so poorly written compared to the previous arcs

4:48 It's actually funny because Goku's rocket ship during the namek saga was MILES faster then the namek spaceship, taking only one week to complete the month long journey Krillin and the others had in the namek spaceship. This shows how absurd Bulma's dad is, being able to not only reverse engineer the saiyan pods but improve them

Namekians can eat food. They just don't need to. If I remember before this, we saw both King Piccolo and Piccolo JR (out Piccolo) eat something. I might be remembering that wrong. But original Namek did have people growing plants to eat I believe so there's also that
Namekians can eat, it just that they don't need it for survival, we have seen king piccolo eating in the og db, and also we have seen piccolo jr eating in super

The brief moment of derp goku going full serious mode after turning super saiyan was wonderful. Plus the fighting animations were so damn clean!
Even with how goofy you make everything, the first ssj1 sequence still had to go hard
Love how they managed to fit in an entire epissode's worth of plot into every 10 seconds of animation
To be fair, the majority of episodes are just buildup towards the big fight. And the big fight itself is stretched across multiple episodes. That makes it somewhat easy to recap a whole season.
You went hard on the battle scenes, I wasn't expecting that, perfect blend of comedy and action.
