Great tutorial. One thing I found is that for beginners, a great cover for your messy classic pass is leading it into a spread, makes any small mistakes you do seem like you were purposefully going into a spread. I say this is great for beginners since I am a beginner myself 😅😅
I like the way you think
This guy is a wizard. That jiggle looks so smooth
His milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
He's not a wizard. He is Alex. Just Alex
Alex is most certainly a wizard. Magic conjuring takes as much focus and intention and desire as magicK... and its all quite ritualistic as well

@@kulserz6747 bruh it was a harry Potter reference 😂😅😅
I enjoyed this very much. I love how you often stress the importance of making sure every move is justified. You avoid superfluous moves as much as possible, which is what makes great magicians great.
I would highly recommend getting this ultimate guide! I already know how these passes work and preform most of them, but getting that extra little insight from such a beast is always worth while! Thanks Alex!
ALEEEEEX JAHAHHAHAA
Alex, could you shoot the tutorial parts of the videos from your view? I don't know about anyone else, but it would really help to see the cards as you see them
I agree 100%!! Why don't they understand this? An Over-The-Shoulder-View (OTSV) eliminates 80% of the job of having to turn everything around 180 degrees in your mind which is way too difficult because that involves having to constantly pause the video for which you really need a 3rd hand involved doing it for you. If you don't pause it, then you have to rewind it. I usually just ignore any tutorial that isn't shot from an OTSV. I'm completely baffled as to why these guys just can't comprehend how difficult it is to learn anything when you have to reverse engineer everything they're doing. It's imperative that you see the deck exactly how they see it.
Watch the full video lol
@@hannanmukadam5023 Pretty sure they were added some time after I posted my comment. Lololololololololololz
Thank you!! I've practiced the pass in the last 5 years. And your tips has improved it so much!! Amazing tecnique!!!
Thanks Alex for subtitling the videos, besides learning the technique, the effect, the subtleties, the structure, the misdirection, etc., we also unknowingly learn another language, Happy Magician's Day and thanks for your help.
Greetings from Argentina
Alex, your pass is the smoothest thing ever! I could watch it all day. I'll definitely be purchasing this ;-)
I just bought the pass project and have to say I like it really much. The brickpass is really funny to do. Some people are thinking that they already to the pass so they don‘t need it. But my suggestion is to buy this project when you already learned thepass, because you will be faster in learn the tips from Alex. this is an improvement on the pass and you will use one of the variations.
Alex, thank you so much for all the videos you post. You are an incredible teacher and enthusiast! Keep up the high quality content!
I’m not gettin paid for this: Bought the pass project last night. If anyone has a cleaner pass (any variants), I’ve not seen it. The camera angles are PERFECT for the subtleties and AP is actually a naturally adept & intuitive teacher. THIS project is the best one on the pass I’ve ever seen. Mark it! ✌️ Solid job, AP.
(P.S. I had to show my wife the intro: She didn’t believe he wasn’t using camera cuts.)
Alex may have the best hands out there. Love watching your stuff on any card control cuz it's just crazy smooth. Thanks for doing this, I will be purchasing this very soon.
Dude...such a great job you are doing, so easy to follow your steps...keep it going man ! )
This really helped with my ''pass work'' Thanks Alex :D
You really give the best tutorials man. had to buy the set even though I could find most of them free, none of the tutorials I find cover as many bases and situations, work arounds, and quality production. thanks. as someone new to learning this stuff (just for fun) you make it pretty simple even for me. I couldn't figure out the diagonal palm shift at all, where it looked even slightly smooth, and though still not "performance" ready with it, 30 minutes after watching your tutorial I at least had the movements down. not smooth, but I know what to practice, and have the right feeling thanks to you. Can actually manage to pull it off here and there where it would look good. just have to get consistant with it, so I'm confident to do it in front of some drunk friends or kids maybe. lol. keep up the great work man. love the free tutorials, and don't mind paying you for the more in depth ones, since I know they're going to be thorough.
What I was waiting for actually started at 3:26🙇🏻♂️
Of all the stuff you do, your pass moves are insane. I can't wrap my brain around how you manage to do them as slick as you do. Nice work.
Takes a lot of patience and hand muscle manipulation
Great explanation. Well taught. Best line? That’s how we learn. So important to encourage.
Loved it. Thank you Alex Pandrea. I love how you approach moves by their problems and offer your solutions.
I found you through Chris Ramsey, thank you for your intellect!
Yep same
Lol! I found Chris through Alex
thank you so much for this i was struggling with the pass alot until i found your vid
Thank you for the step by the step process of the five passes you use:Great tutorials. Merry Christmas Alex.
I've watched this video over 20 times and I improve a little each time, I catch something I might have missed, grow each time, great stuff,
You have two of the best hands I've ever seen! I would recommend your tutorials to anyone who wants to learn these skills! Ed.
This is so good I had to come back and watch again amazing pass eye candy
Alex "Quality" Pandrea
Agree
Thank you, such a great tutuorial to one of the most important sleight of hand techinques with cards
20 years to perfect it?... I dont wanna do magic anymore...
do some misdirection will be fine
No flourish or pass is done in a day dude ...you have to be patient to achieve what you want..just like alex
You don't need 20 years, but magic is practice and practice is infinite
DOPE. I love your tutorials. Idky but, after ur tutorials, I pick things up SO QUICKLY!! It has me obsessed with sleight of hand and ur channel! THANK YOU!! ✌😎
UnReaL ha
Amazing ! Ty for all the tutorials
Thanks for the tutorial. Might be the best tutorial I’ve seen on the classic (that doesn’t mean I can do it yet, though!)
Dude, I only just decided 2 days ago that I wanted to learn slight of hand, card tricks, cardistry, etc. and seeing this video both made me feel like I have no chance at being good lol while also feeling like “damn, I hope I can get close to this good someday”. I slowed the beginning video down to .25 and still couldn’t tell what you were doing man; very very cool. Subscribed!
The big thing is getting your finger and hand muscles up and super strong for slights I have noticed. And I feel ya man I got small hands with no muscles lol long fingers with windows and small palms the whole nine yards and I'm still gunna give er my all. He does do this pass super slick though I couldn't figure out the motion of his hands for most of the video lol
Quickest pass I've seen.
I'm learning Magie, thanks so much for this good tuto dude!
alex this guide is PERFECT thank you soooo much i think doing the passes is like the last thing i needed and i got it! thank you soo so much
Agree, 100%
Really nice work and video. I've watched a couple recently and very impressed. My hands aren't what they used to be, but I have similar ideas on the spread pass I think. And I love doing the cover pass too. But your finesses and work look really great.
I used this video to finally complete my classic pass Alex is a great teacher who breaks down every problem and how to overcome it ...rhankyou
Nice, thank you that was helpful.
I started doin the one hand pass a few years ago.
I usually do it when I put my hand by my side or my body turns.
I also do something similar to a charlier.
Thanks again man. Your passes are great.
Damn. Your passes are so clean. Even after you showed me how you did it but I'm still convinced that it's camera trickeries.
What a lot of people do is edit the video and take a few frames out here and there. It's quite common.
So simple yet so hard to master. Thank's Alex, this is going to help big time.
Thanks Alex for this. You are an example for me.
You are a
really good teacher, as always thanks for the great video
Thanks, Alex. That‘s a nice Christmas gift.
Greetings from Germany.
Weißt du wie Der color change heißt den er macht?
I use the Herman pass. I’m trash at the classic pass hahaha
I guess it's the perfect time to learn then! Eh? :)
Same. But, as Alex said, it's time to learn it.
Same same same concept with me
Meetoo
i get caught on the packet too easily or open up my right hand pinky... ugh frustrating
I’m just now starting to do sleights and card illusions, not for anything other than my own amusement, but your videos help out TREMENDOUSLY. I can’t thank you enough. Your explanations are as smooth as your hand skills. Keep being awesome.
Chris Ramsay and Alex I find are in that same caliber of tutorial mastery lol. But really though if Alex didn't have it Chris very well may and they both perform tutorials phenomenally! Good luck with the slights
Alex!!! you are the king!! thank you for sharing!!! allready downloaded the project!!!
Those are outrageous good!! ♥️
MERRY CHRISTMAS! GREAT VIDEO! I LOVE IT!
THANKS! GLAD YOU LIKE IT!
Merry Christmas again! Great video
Absolutely amazing skill Alex. . True magic 👍
In a day and age where everyone is looking for an "ez pill" to solve all of their problems, which never works, I truly appreciate your dedication to covering "every single step", even if it's slower than what others want/expect, it's actually the best way to learn it to a level of mastery, a place the pill can never go. Thanks! Subd
have a Merry Christmas and לחיים!!!!
Amazing video but lordy, the beginning felt like five years
Thought I was the only one
Me too! Lol The video could of been half the time to be fair.
Bless his heart he can compress 2 minutes of instruction into 15 minutes of video. But to his credit he tries to also infuse technique, mindset, subtleties. Keep it going Alex !!
i like listening to him speak
its because he is full of himself - he thinks people are here to see and hear him - should take a lesson from people like 3blue1brown - have an intro, but just get to it
I just bought The Ultimate Guide to the Pass, I have so much to learn and improve ! Thanks Alex ;-)
U r the MAN!!! Thanks 2 u I started watching your channel as a way to stop my ulnar neuropathy I’m destroying both my hands, thank you and keep up the great work
Have a merry Christmas Alex! Keep doing tutorials and teaching! 👌🏼
Remember my invitation to Chile! I hope to listen o e of your lectures here!
Thanks so much Nicolas! Will keep Chile in mind for the future :)
Best classic pass tutorial in youtube merry christmas Alex!!!
Thanks so much! means a lot :)
Awesome I'll practice your ultimate guide as soon as it finished downloading!
I use Herman most then classic. Been tinkering with the spread pass which is a nice variation on a classic. Thanks for unleashing your work in this new project! 20 years in the making!
Thanks! Hope the project can knock some years off everyones time in practicing it!
@@AlexPandrea most def! I appreciate the time you devote to theory alongside the tutorial. I've seen tutorials from others where they just offer their way to perform something and that's it. You go into different add ons, reasons for doing this or that, what should be avoided, how to fix problem handlings, and how to make the effect look as natural and free flowing as possible. Thank you so much! Since following you for some time now, my handling has improved greatly on many things!
Merry Christmas thx for this awesome tutorial
Merry Christmas! You're welcome!
Hi this is Haider
You are the best teacher!!! Best tutorials
Thank you very much. Trying here :)

Thanks so much! means a lot to me to read comments like this!
The best Christmas present!!! you teaching the pass properly !!! Thanks you so much Alex 😊
glad it was a good gift! thank YOU!
i got some trouble when doing the pass to the bottom of the deck :(
Practice is needed. Love your vids, Peace!!
you used Mozart's Sonata N. 11 I think. am I right ?
didnt expect that music choice. I love it.
wow, thank you for sharing this.Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the tutorial and I have your Brick pass tutorial. Love all your project. Love from Bangladesh.
This was a nice christmas gift! I love your passes and have been waiting for something like this after you removed some old videos. Really nice of you and you make it look so easy! Thanks a bunch and keep it going! (Also the production was really great, nice touch with piano!)
Thanks! Hope you enjoyed it Andreas! Yesss figured go with classical music for the classic pass haha :p
A few years ago you have to buy the tutorial :) I've waiting for 3 years
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, i love card tricks but i do not perform at all, for me is just fun.
Looks phenomenal. Great job.
My pass always end up with the selection at the bottom
Idk why but my pinky always seem to want to take the card along the ride
At the begining it happens, but doing it over and over and you will start to relax your hands, and it won't be a problem anymore, as you won't be afraid to make the cards fall. At least that's what happened to me :)
@@NecrousSC2 aye cheers man, thanks
i mean, i suck too but, try an lift your pinky a little
maybe you need to wipe your sweaty dorito-smeared fingers clean dude, lol jk bro just practice
same lol
5:55 coulda dropped a "just the tip" giggity
I was Searching for tutorial on pass on CZcams. I saw some tutorials from different people but I can't do it and my hands were shaking. After I saw your tutorial and Now, even though I can't do perfectly my fingers are stable from watching your video. Thanks man👏👏👍👍👍😂😁
Alex man I will keep saying this. Your stuff is too good to be free! It's uncommon to see someone who's actually skillful and knows a lot about the move in order to teach it on CZcams.
I've discovered that when doing the pass: 1) When you have a pinky break below the bigger portion of the deck(when the selected card you want to control is somewhere in the lower half of the deck) you want to use the Classic Pass, it is much easier when you are transfering a bigger portion to the top. 2) On the other hand, when you have a pinky break somewhere on the top half of the deck( the selected card is somewhere in top half) you want to use the Herman Pass. It is much easier to do these moves if you do them this way! TRY IT YOURSELVES!
I’ll never understand why all these tutorials make you try and learn from the spectators view... turn the goddamn camera around. Oh and thx for the tutorial! Lol
Yeah, it’s weird for me now cause I started learning to do stuff holding the deck in my right hand (Despite being right handed) and watching stuff from this POV kinda works for that, although I often think of retraining myself to hold the deck in my left like most magicians
Thank you for sharing 😊 love from Paris France 🇫🇷💙🤍❤️
thanks man!! took me a few hours to perfect it but now I can do the pass...always wanted to learn and now I have it down perfect...thankkkk youuuu!!!!!
So cleanly performed you pass is a masterpiece and the brick pass project is one of the best investments I have made in my journey in Magic♠♠
I've watched a dozen of these videos now, and my takeaway is that y'all need to invest in head-mounted cameras so we can actually see what it's supposed to look like from our perspective.
Thank you for giving me such a present!
Thank you so much Alex !
Is the pass project gonna jump in price by $2 per day? 🦆
🎄☃️🤘
It's going up $5 from what it is now.
Alex Pandrea Wait two mins ... I’m about to hit “Pay Now”!
