Anyone who has had this car for a few months? How do you like it by now.I bought a 2018 accord sport 1.5 Manuel. The Honda is meh . Want to trade and looking at wrx. Sti is too much money for me.
I had an STi for a while and loved it. My buddy has the WRX, and I have just as much fun when I drive his car. The WRX is quite a bit more comfy on rough roads. If you're OK with a rough ride, but a quick ride, the WRX is great. It's a really simple car, and the base model has only the bare minimum creature comforts, but Subarus schtick is the "driving experience" which the car definitely has. Maintenance is relatively cheap...however the car will rattle after a while.
@@bj10jgo did you ever trade in for the WRX? I’ve had my 19’ WRX base model for 3 months now. Got it right before the price surge on used cars @23k with 28k miles
Most likely was overly careful as this is a car that still needs to be sold and he didn't want to grind a gear on a brand new car that is yet to find it's owner. I would do the same. On my own car (also MT) I don't do it...as often.
@@YasssStitch If you were being overly careful, that is the exact opposite of what you would do. There is absolutely no need to slap your stick around to "make sure" it's in neutral. It's a stupid habit that so many people have. Would not let him drive mine.
Base model sound system is notoriously bad compared to other vehicles in it's price range. However, it would be worth it to get the base model and spend a few bucks on new speakers rather than spending 5-7k more on the premium edition with the Harmon Kardon.
What other similar car has a similar new price to WRX base model? Specifically another car at similar price point with the following features: 268 hp, turbo, AWD, 6 speed, 4 doors, hood scoop, actual rims (not wheel overs) and rear seats go down.
Another great review!Helps to have someone explain the car funtions other then the salesman
Subaru needs to offer more on these cars. Paid 29k for my wrx premium and for that price I still dont get power driver seat or LED headlights
Good review. Wanted to say, you’re in car audio was covered up by road noise. Maybe wear a mic or closer to the camera? Just something I noticed
Really like the video. Would love a review of a 2019 CVT WRX that has a POV of the road.
Mikaela Fox thank you and I’m looking to start POV content in the future
Ben Hardy Awesome. I actually ordered a CVT wrx so I’m just trying to see how others like driving it. Hard to find good video reviews about it online.
Nice vid man
Kel Danex thank you!
I wish this car, together with the sti, is still available after I finish my college.
If you like this style you better hurry and get it (unless you got it already) this design will be the last for 2020, new design coming in 2021.
This was a great review
happiness thank you!
I never find manuals cumbersome when you get used to them
Great car not for city driving
if the base trim comes with heated seat, that will be perfect.
jjlovelord Most places let you add them in for not a lot of cost actually!
Or you can buy heat pads for car seats that plug into the adapter
Didnt know Gordon Hayward did car reviews?
chinesemonk No, this is the much shorter, but much more handsome twin.🤙🏻

@grey black, did you every trade your accord to a wrx? I have a 2019 accord sport 1.5 and thinking about trading to a 2020 wrx basic premium.

@@Hp_2187 I wanted the STI but the price i was going for, the dealer didnt want to budge. I'm just going to wait for the new WRX/Sti to come out.
His neutral shift wiggle is absolutely killing me.

Eduardo Beverly it doesn’t damage the car to wiggle it, let people drive how they want to drive.
@@eddieisready I've been driving manual cars for 20 years and never got that weird neutral wiggle habit. So awkward to watch
How is the sound system in this base?
Sky Baun adequate for how small the car is
Very shitty tbh owned the car for about a year now

this car over priced but i se why its got over 200 hp but who cares
And AWD, and turbo'd and easily gets to 400hp for cheap
