- Well this wasn't a good way to start my day that is for sure. With that said it could have been much worse. I am glad it was me and not Ashley and Bauer, truck can be fixed not cheap but it can!

I added those goofy deer whistles to the bumper of my new rig. Never used them before and first trip out the drive way with gooseneck spotted some deer up the road the all looked at scattered not saying the whistle things work but I thought it was kinda funny timing

If you don't owe money on this truck I would fix that stuff myself. $25 grand is ridiculous. Take the insurance money it's a work truck after all.
I think it’s an unwritten mythical law, a ode of honor among deer, a show of true bravery to take on man and his mechanical carriage and survive. Unfortunately no one’s around long enough to educate these deer on the impact it has on us drivers. Deer strike can be devastating psychologically as much as physically. Fortunately I’ve been able to use my light hearted sense of humor to cope with several Deer strikes.
It's a work truck. If it were me I'd put a new fender on it and send it!

Thank God none of you were hurt! I deer hunt the same way you did but I did it with a Pontiac Sunbird. Both of my kids (age 5 & 8 at the time) were in the back seat but were buckled into their car seats. Both slept with us that night because they thought the mama deer would try to find us for killing her "baby". Luckily, it killed the deer outright. I wasn't able to get any of the meat because we were on the highway and it was damaged that the blood and bones were all in the meat.

Oh wow. Thank God your ok! You are no moron for not getting hurt. Your truck is still sexy & you’re fine. Amen. I’m so happy you, Ashley & Bauer are ok. Take care. I would say drive safely but you do that already. It always blows my mind how deer total vehicles, & even worse.

Wow! That must have been one big deer to do that much damage to your truck! On the bright side I’m glad you and your family are safe! I know it’s a bumper because I really love my truck too, but trucks are replaceable and people are not! I’m glad your around!😀
