I've owned all three HD trucks - Silverado, Ram and F350 (my current truck). The Ford turned slightly tighter. I would still take the Ram over the other two, primarily for that exhaust brake and real world fuel economy and that medium duty engine, where the other two will always be light duty truck engines. Prefer the Alison in the Silverado/GMC but the Aisin is no joke. They are ALL GREAT trucks these days. Pick your preferred brand and be happy with a great truck.

I do believe that the Ford did have a tighter turning radius. The best way to look at that was the comparison at the apex of the turn. It wasn't by much but the ford did win. But that said, I'd be for sure looking to get the Cummins and Aisin transmission combination. I test drove one with that combination and the power was unbelievable.

The Ram with the Cummins has always been slower than a Powerstroke. The reason being that the Ford Diesel is built off of a V8 block. The Ram is built off a proper true Semi Truck inline 6. Semi trucks aren't fast because they are built to tow heavy loads. Hence Cummins in ram, a true Semi engine.

Yes, the halfway point is the true indicator from a geometry perspective. Any truck can turn a full circle and come close to home again, but the distance from start to full halfway diameter is the measure. Ford wins. And I am a RAM owner.

Just for giggles maybe trace each turn with cones then take a diameter measurement. Love the videos btw.

A new vehicle is only as good as the company behind it.
I used to be a big MOPAR fan from around 1965-2000.
Our last 3 MOPAR vehicles had been a disaster. After the 3rd one I got wise to know it wasn't the car it was the company.
Bought a new 2000 Grand Caravan with 100K bumper to bumper warranty (BBW) and Chrysler extended warranty.
At 7,000 miles one head burned up. Glad we had the BBW.
Nope. Heads not considered drive train and not covered. Cost $1800
At 12,000 miles power steering quit when cold. Glad we had the BBW.
Nope. Diagnosed as bad PS pump. Cost $850.
PS quit again 3 months later. Diagnosed as restricted HP hose. BBW doesn't cover hoses. $400.
PS quit again 6 months later @ 13,200 miles. Diagnosed as bad rack and pinion.
Steering isn't considered drive train. No BBW. $2100
Electric sliding door quit at 19,000 miles. Opted not to fix.
Driver door electric window quit at 24,000 miles. $300 to fix.
Electric locks failed at 28,000 miles. Opted not to fix.
Headliner began to become unglued & hanging at 2 years, 35000 miles. Pinned & glued.
Paint began to peel in chunks at 48,000 miles. Dodge/MOPAR/Chrystler refused to help.
Had the van repainted at my expense.
Then a general decline due to wear and tear across the whole van until we donated it to charity - all completely slap wore out at 120k miles inside & out.
That was the worst of my 5 new MOPAR vehicles. The last 3 weren't far behind.
NEVER MOPAR AGAIN no mater how beautiful they look.

I'd still rather have the Ford. It has an enclosed bed. The Ram does not. Now if the Ram had an enclosed bed like the Ford, it would be a tough decision.

Someone failed geometry!! Let me start by saying I hate fords. But If you make a complete circle, both trucks should end up in the exact same place but that isn’t going to measure turning RADIUS. You should have stopped both trucks after completing a 180. That would’ve given you the radius. And from your drone shot, unfortunately the ford won by what looks to be about half the width of the trucks. So like 4 ft or a 2 ft radius
