My good friends Super Dave Harrington and Ken Hackathorn joined me at the range to discuss some of the different models of handguns employed by Special Operations Units from around the world. This is from an episode of TAC-TV Season 2. In Pt. 1 we give a quick overview of the guns we will be discussing and doing drills with in this episode. - Zábava
I was around for the transition to the M9 and carried one as my primary duty weapon for many years. I also shot on the pistol team. In those days we had to document every round fired due to the slide issue. The slide issue came from special operators using ammo not recommended for the M9 which caused some cracks to occur in the slide. The M9 is a fine weapon and never actually had anything wrong with it.
Spot on!
It was PROOF ammo. It would frag any gun.
The Sig P226 Mk 25 is my "friend." Never jams, accurate, light.
InstaBlaster...
Definitely on my list.
Definitely on my list along with the H&K USP45 V1 & HK45 V1
The SIG P226 is definitely my first pick
that thing shoots like a dream
@@CALISUPERSPORT he's probably played too many games
@@69xxmiiikexx86 lol rented one at the range last month tho. Love That gun
Thank you for appreciating swiss arms :)
Yep
I own several of these of one type or another. Very good & reliable handguns.
Thanks Larry. B9USA Sr.
HK45C is such a beautiful pistol.
I agree it's my favorite gun
Yes, it is.
Is it like the usp from csgo
and freaking expensive unfortunately.
Koko Hekmatyar cool
0:10 how to pick up a handgun 101.
immediately scrolled down to see if anyone else caught it, WTF? haha
@@paulscountry456.... These guys are all bad-asses. Who the f@ck are you?
@@paulscountry456 lol chuck norris fantasy? Larry literally lived that life

The Browning high power should be held with the same reverence as the 1911: it’s a real work of art
It's way more superior
Agreed. Probably just as common as was the 1911 in it’s heyday! Stands to reason. Both were designed by the same genius firearms designer. Mr. John Moses Browning.
Crap trigger, hammer bite, and pitiful 13-round mag for 9mm? No thanks.
@@andystegall7407 never had an issue on the trigger on any one I fired and 13 rounds in 1935 was impressive for its time, outside of the us the High Power has had a far more impressive record
@@TheTyrantOfMars So? This isn't 1935 anymore. Some of y'all get nostalgia cloud your common sense. I hear people say the Mauser C-96 should make a comeback too based on nothing more than it looks cool.
Having 5-6 more shots than most other pistols at the time doesn't negate the crappiness of actually shooting the thing. The trigger is garbage, the magazine disconnect is a dumb, useless idea, the safety levers get in the way and you have to have a bad grip on it to avoid hammer bite if you plan on shooting it for more than a magazine at a time, and to top it off in some cases the extractor spring wears out which is exacerbated by the tiny ejector port. Why would I waste my time on a gun that's uncomfortable to shoot and requires extra work to mitigate the flaws by taking it to a gun shop and spending more to fix the trigger, safety levers, and hammer when I could just get a gun that doesn't have all those problems out of the box? I could just save money and buy a Glock 19 instead which does everything Hi-Power does, but with +2 or more in the magazine and is way more comfortable to shoot?

I love seeing people analyze the evolution of firearms and hearing what goes in to decisions regarding what becomes "the next thing" in terms of something as simple as being a few ounces lighter or everything being suppressor ready now from the go.
I carry spring action air soft
abigail Cruz Savage 💥🔫😎
Michael Ned bitch it’s illegal to have an Airsoft gun in public in England
I carry a 9mm Glock with 18 rounds so I can shoot 18 bad guys dead or 1 bad guy REALLY dead
@Michael Ned it's illegal to have airsoft guns in Australia
Bro I made and carry a g34
of all of them, my favorite is the sig 226. my local gun shop always gets navy issue 226's in stock. some with rmr's, some with threaded barrels, some with trident seals. they have more character than the others as they stand out more with their markings and that is why i like them
I’ve watched a lot of films and I’ve had the pleasure of making a few. Whoever edited this video did an outstanding job. BZ. - Nick
carried the 1911, the M9, a Sig 220 on active duty. Wound up going with the P226 as my personal handgun. Don't know why I just like it. 23 years total for Uncle Sam. Edited my thought now was why, and I realized I trusted the no safety setup and the hi capacity of the 226.
How you get a sig 220 past base security.
Great start. Can't wait for part 2.
I really want the mk25 I'm very happy you did a review. Let's hope it's good!
Thanks for these awesome videos!
Very informative! Learned lots!
The fnx-45 is one of my favorites.
Love my FN FNX .45. But I really love my 1911s. My Les Baers and Ed Brown 1911s are 2nd to none. My FN is if i have to go to war. My 1911 is if I need to whack someone.
I love my HK45C! That gun is perfect! Great job LAV and Men on your work with HK. Tip of the hat to you. I'm enjoying these segments as well. I would love to see more SOF weapons and the history behind each individual one.
I always carried two micro uzis when I was in Delta. But that was years ago. Now I'm a Texas ranger.
Also, I no longer believe in using guns. I primarily roundhouse any threat into submission.
+MP USMC SRT hahaha
so do you carry a sig 226 now?
lol ok bud
Did your motorcycle have machineguns and rocket launchers?
I wondered how you had so much knowledge about firearms. Thank you for your service. Above and beyond I'd say.
damn, USP .45 Compact and CZ75... two of my favorite handguns
another awesome set of videos inbound i hope! great stuff!
I always love seeing the good old work horse beretta. Still my go to EDC. Sadly after 15 or so years I'm about to retire her for a g19/g26 setup. I'm over trying to carry to fit what I think my daily activities will allow as for fullsize/compact carry. With the g19/26 setup I get primary and backup and can carry an extra mag the fits both frames. So when needed I can drop the primary still have the backup with extra mag.. I wish more pistols had this cross platform compatibility. But I always enjoy seeing another die hard beretta guy we are few and far between lol.
Super Dave is awesome! I had him train me when I got my Pistol Dynamics Scout. Such a better shooter because of his training.
I'm glad these videos are posted on CZcams, the channel this show airs on is part of a package from my local cable company that costs $23 extra per month so I'm not able to afford that just for the one channel I want to watch!
HK 45 compact tactical will be my next handgun.
What kind of training do you have?
Just want to say... Great production value on your videos! Great Job!!
I ❤️ my Beretta 92 Brigadier, such a beautiful work of art!
Great video, always enjoy the stuff you guys put out.
As a drummer my mantra is “it’s the guy not the gear” when it comes to skill, talent and technique. However, really good gear elevates the gameplay ! My drumming mantra is completely applicable to tactical weapons use, control and management.
they way I see it Mr.vickers has served us well and is still continuing to serve us by making these videos so it doesn't matter if someone Is out of shape all he is trying to do is educate the public on firearm knowledge and the man has every right to live his life they way he sees fit and does not deserve to have bs comments like oh he got fat who cares this man is a hero and deserves more respect than ignorant CZcams comments. Mr vickers if you see this thank you
Larry can be as fat as he wants. He paid his dues with 20 years in special forces and Delta Force. I'm sure he can still pop most of us on a fireman's carry and jog 5 miles along with his a M4 and 200 rounds of ammo and 20 grenades.
HK 45c, HK P30 SK (DA/SA), my personal primary carry for a few years, the P2000 V2 LEM (my fiance's, she's great with it, .40, too, which i normally would have been weary of). SIG Scorpion 1911 .45 ACP, my favorite handgun I own even though I'm an HK Fanboy lol.
Hey Mr. Vickers, thanks for the videos. I was wondering what timepiece you are wearing during this shoot. Again thanks for all the info you provide in these videos
L V Outstanding as always. I wonder if L V actually reads any of the "comments"? I am totally amazed at how knowledgeable these people that were never there are.
When I was in the Corps "WE" carried custom built in Quantico 1911s. They were built specifically for "US". LONG before MARSOC was a term or a descriptor. That was a long time ago and even now those Marines are carrying the 1911. Too bad all the never types say I never carried one.
I also carried a SIG SAUER P226 because 9mm was available worldwide. Also because the P226 was and still is more reliable and durable and a hell of a lot more ergonomic than that POS M9.
Mr. Vickers - SEMPER FI sir. If K H reads this I LOVE THE STACHE.
GOOD TO SEE YA BRO
I carried the Mk25 (Sig P226) on my very last deployment, excellent gun.
Wish they put the Sig 226 spec ops 9mm
with the srt trigger in review it is sweet, I have one never disappoints.
What kind of training do you have?
Do a video series on the best or top concealed carry pistols!!!
Good episode. First time watching. You have a new subscriber today my friend
Vickers You should make a Top 10 9mm Pistols. And Top 10 45-ACP Pistols Video.
This is just fantastic. Larry & Company cut through the trends, the hype, and the misinformed, amateur craziness that seems to pervade the world of youtube firearms enthusiast. Honest, no-BS information from the best in the business. When it comes to firearms, and the technique and training to use them, and use them well, I'd much prefer to get my information from a tier one operator from the finest military on the planet, who also happens to have all of the real-world experience you could ever ask for. Concise, entertaining, great topics, and terrific production value. Larry & Company, thank you guys for wealth of great information here in these vids. Awesome!
K Porter That's why iam subbed! One of the Best of it's kind on the Net ...
Larry is the real thing. 20 years in Special Forces, Delta Force, Sabre Squadron. He was also the firearms instructor for his unit. He was there and saw the white elephant. He is no bs person. I've watched a lot of gun videos and when Larry says something, I take it to the bank.
My family lives just down the road from there in Bailey NC.
Wish they did more on the 226 I happen to own the mk25 and it's the best pistol I've ever fired.
Vick Bruh, what watch are you rocking in this video? Legit, and thank you for your service to this great nation!
I've subscribed! Great videos. I hope to be able to afford one of your training some day, LAV.
The Sig P226 is one bad ass gun. My favorite!!
We stopped using the M9 honestly in 04. But we maintained proficiency with it.
Very interesting video,I love it,Thankyou.
thoughts on removing finger grooves /stippling/ trigger guard undercut. i have large hands. have a glock 19. i shoot it well but its not as comfortable.
Wow, he was in Dunn, NC??? That’s where I live!!
I wonder what kind of holster they were using, I've been looking for something like that
Happy New Year's my Brother in Arms
Cz 75 compact is my spec ops handgun pick. Cant go wrong with some of these other choices though.
Why tf do you only have 700k subs?... This is the most informative gun channel on the platform.. I just subbed.. Amazing shit bro
Vickers your one of the five channels I subscribe to and I've been watching youtube for years. I guess you could say I am a hater. Don't stop doing what you do your a very inspiring man I enjoy your show.♤
*Good to see ya bro*
Good to see you bro
That Raptor is beautiful!
I have shot a lot of guns my xd40 is my favorite but I have shot some Jesse James handguns and all of them were amazing lite and accurate
Great vid:
Whoa!! What kind of grips are on that HK45C and how do I snag a pair?!
I know both Ken and Larry have worked with HK, the company. My question given the fact you both know the HK pistols intimately, why the HK45C as opposed to the HK45? The compact is not much smaller than the full size. What features/benefits led to the Compact vs full size? I'm in the market, your feedback is valuable to me. Thanks!
The browning Hi power! Grade A quality
DAMNNN GOOD AMAZING VIDEO,,, THANKS GUYS !!!!!!!!!!!!
1911-А1 MEU, SIG 226 - Super!!! 👍👍👍
i know i joke n call u george michael from WHAM but ur videos are awesome...stay blessed
My HK USP’s are by far my favorite unmodified pistols.
you guys should really make a TV show that would be one show I would actually watch
Ken really is Moustache-Approved!
We werent always old, aint that the truth. No fancy optics for us just post and rail. Rock on.
I carry a Glock 21 SF Gen 3 as a security officer. Love it.
Great video... it would have been nicer to see you all shooting targets with the guns
Just wondering Larry, do you o all the video editing yourself? because its really well done such a professional channel. I am from the UK I love firearms just gutted we do not have the same laws.
Guns and a Ford Raptor. Hard to beat that combo
Guns and a Chevy. Just beat that one...easy.
+DemocracyOfHypocrisy haha regular F-150 maybe. Nothing can beat a Raptor
+Sam Sphire
Supercharged Z71 with Fox suspension. Bam
OMFG how good is the suppressor on that HK?
Carried the Browning high power for many years during my time in the British Army.
Is there an idea for handguns that as you slide your second magazine in it can automatically chamber the first round?
There are several pistols which will drop the slide when you insert a magazine if you really send it home with force which is commonly referred to as "auto-forwarding". My HK45 will drop the slide if I slam the mag in but I don't know of any any pistols that intentionally do so on mag insertion.
Wish you guys would have put the Fn 45 Tactical
Larry,
You likely have done this and I just cannot find it, but I would very much like to see a review by you of the H&K Mark 23 SOCOM.
Typical focus is on the gun's size, but at 6 ft. 7 in, 240 lbs the size is not an impediment to me.
I am interested in an objective analysis of the weapon's attributes, particularly if that analysis referred to any pistol - again without regard to size - that you believe is superior.
I have immense confidence in your work and turn to you for a review of any weapon before any other writer.
Thank you for the excellent work!
Ivy
Oh I love the sig.
We love you so much Larry Vickers !!
Love from SSG PAKISTAN 🇵🇰
i don't know what ill get for my ccw but im leaning towards that sig p226 and the m9
@Mike P Im thinking something like a Glock 43 or 26
Hey Larry do a video on the HK45!!
I would like to know what you think about the FNH FNS-9 pistol? I know it's kinda new (last 3 or 4 years) to the market but FN is a quality manufacturer and they do a lot of military weapons all ready. Any thoughts?
What do you think of the Sig P229 in 9mm? I will suppress it too.
Makes me happy that Larry is a Ford man.
What?
I know where y’all are at! Dunn NC represent! Harnett co native!
not a fan of decocker guns, i have a cz and on purpose chose the model of the cz75 sp01 where you have to manually decock it, but more preferable to use cocked and locked. decockers seem to make the triggers mushy.
0:10 Keep finger out of trigger guard until ready to fire!
Good thing I'm ALWAYS ready to fire.
and now the Sig M17 configurations are everywhere in the millitary
I’ve always wanted a Browning High Power. I don’t need it and I don’t know what I would use it for other than shooting at the range but I want one anyway.
Just wanting it is enough - go for it !!
The M9 trigger disconnect safety prevents soldiers from accidentally discharging the pistol while holstering it. How much money has that saved the miltary?
Mr Vickers I'm a gun enthusiast, army infantry veteran, and I've been doing my research on combat style handguns, now the edcx9 that you reviewed was awesome, but I can't afford that, what would you recommend between a fn509 and a czp09
FN509
Being an armchair warrior I love when films show you soldiers emptying a rifle mag and immediately switching to their sidearm. The one that always sticks with me is Aaron Eckhart in Battle Los Angeles "PUSH THE ASSAULT!"....yup I'm that pathetic😂
My wife watched this video with me and she went out and tried to buy the H&K 45 Tactical. I had to convince her to get the 9mm USP now she's trying to figure out how to get a H&K VP9 here and California.
The best way to get any of those guns is to move out of that shitty state.
My friend from Cali came out here to Virginia and Shot my HK's (VP9, P30sk, P30 and the 45C) and fell in love with them!
There's been a usp9 st a local store for a while now, I'm dying to pick it up! Buuuut it's $900 haha.
Last week I picked up an H&K USP 45C for $450. Fired it today for the first time and now I understand what all the chatter is about this fine weapon.
Yep.... Glock's, Beretta M9/92FS, Sig Sauer P226. That's pretty much what I trust.
Beretta masara deer mazidara accuracy da yar au bilkul perfect shot dy
Good program. P220.
Seals used the compact 228 in past they were work horses in day and even now best ever also 1911@1 quality
