  • In this video, I show you how to make your own marble concrete container! You can use this as a Planter for succulents or for a candle (I make a 3 wick candle with this one). I sell my concrete candles on Etsy using these containers and around my home for a nice modern decor style!

The best part about this, is no candle vessel will ever look the same. Another trick I did, was drizzle the paint into the mold and then pour in the cement. Let set for 3 hrs and your result will be a vessel that looks chipped and antique. Best paint when using copper, glitter gold or silver, black, brown and so on.

I came across your video and fell in love with the concrete idea. 1- does the type of concrete of concrete matter? i bought quickcrete grout which is something i saw on someone elses video and....it took over night to cure. when taking it out of the molds - everything broke - the one i did thick, medium and thinner. also 2- is there a trick to figuring out how much concrete and water? being older and a non-crafty lady, i really want to learn. thank you -

Hi! Thank you for watching :)
For the concrete I use Cement All. I tried Quickcrete and it didn't work so well either. I use a 4:1 ratio. So I start with the concrete and then add a bit of water until it is pancake batter consistenty :) the trick is to add a little bit of water at a time. My cement all takes 3 hours to cure.
      I hope this helps!
