    My curiosity ran me out of my religion. Lest anyone claim that science is above that type of behaviour, Te can so claim to tis heart’s content. But the claim is a lie or exaggeration, for my curiosity got me run out of my doctoral program, I’m sorry to report.
    But both experiences taught me an invaluable lesson: Stay away from persons in positions of power or authority. Because if they forget how it was when they didn’t have power or authority or if the power becomes uppermost important, they’ll nontreat, mistreat, and even maltreat you - and there will be nothing you can do about it.

  • @Acquavallo
    @Acquavallo Před 9 lety +3

    I wish their wasn't that phoney inspirational music. A truly inspirational statement needs no music, and I would have been much more inspired if I weren't turned off by the phoney music.
    But I liked the visual pun of building curiosity.

    • @ltericdavis2237
      @ltericdavis2237 Před 9 lety +6

      I do not feel that the music detracted at all from the effect of the piece. But I would have liked it either way.

    • @TheSpicySimon
      @TheSpicySimon Před 9 lety +1

      A truly inspirational statement should still be inspirational, with or without additives.

    • @Acquavallo
      @Acquavallo Před 9 lety

      If you dress something to make it sound inspirational, it's probably because it isn't though. So putting the phoney music there detracts from the messages of curiosity by making them seem as if they need the phoney music, and thereby are not actually inspirational.

    • @sagellivokin
      @sagellivokin Před 9 lety +2

      Acquavallo So you're telling me that films, if they're actually good, shouldn't have a soundtrack. If a scene is truly exciting, then it doesn't need music. If a scene is truly heart-wrenching, it doesn't need music. I respect your opinion. If we were face-to-face I would nod with you, but then I would give you a few films from my collection that marry dialogue and music.

    • @Acquavallo
      @Acquavallo Před 9 lety

      I'm saying the films shouldn't rely on music, like this clip does. It uses excessively inspirational sounding music, phoney music. When films use the same sort of excessive music, like dubstep for explosions, I have the same reaction.
      If this clip just had background music, instead of music specifically designed to elicit the phoney inspirational feeling it would be fine.
