This scene is easily the best in the series. This scene will never be ursurped of that title. As time goes on I genuinely believe this will be referenced as one of the greatest scenes in t.v history. It's heartbreaking, heartwarming and massively inspiring while also stimulating introspection of ones self in a way that is nothing short of absolutely profound. Merely thinking of this scene gets the waterworks going. This scene in and of itself makes me completely, earnestly want to be a better person. Not just the idea that I should, but the actual willingness and want to be a better, more caring person than I currently am

Notice prior to Ted's monologue, Rebecca looks down at her watch. But once he begins, her attention increases when he talks about his dad's passing. Perhaps this is the first time she begins to comprehend what Ted is all about. That brief glimpse in the background, present but subtle.

I feel like, in that look, we also see the final nail in the coffin of her revenge plot. Cause in the next episode, right when we see her hurt again by Rupert, and we're sure she's going to double down on her cruel game, she instead confesses the truth.

I can't begin to explain how this particular scene changed my life. I am achiever but I always felt I was up against a wall, feeling depressed and burnt out. My wife to cheer me up put this series. Although the series in itself is amazing, every word in the clip resonates with me. You gave me something to hold on that day that will remain with me for ever. For the one who wrote these lines. You made me peaceful ✌ from inside. You made me change the way I see the world. Just that Ted saw it on the board and I saw it in this clip.

0:22 “You know Rupert, guys have underestimated me my entire life, and for years I never understood why, it used to really bother me.
But then one day I was driving my little boy to school and I saw this quote by Walt Whitman, it was painted on the wall there it said “Be Curious, not judgemental” and I liked that. So I get back in my car and I’m driving to work and all of the sudden it hits me…
All them fellas that used to belittle me..not a single one of them were curious. You know they thought they had everything all figured out so they judged everything.. and they judged everyone.
And I realized that their underestimating me..phew..who I was had nothing to do with it.
Cause if they were curious they’d ask questions you know? Questions like “have you played a lot of darts, Ted?” Which I would have answered “yes sir, every Sunday afternoon at a sports bar with my father from age 10 to 16 when he passed away”
