I saw this video on Twitter and CZcams recently of a guy who modified his phone case with propellers. Having a background in engineering it was pretty clear to me that it wasn't real but it seemed like most people believed it. This was especially irksome give that he was selling the items in the desc using affiliate links. So I did a deep dive on every last possible clue proving it was fake.

Fully agree, but should notice, phone itself has an accelerometer, of course you need fast interface with arduino (bluetooth/usb controller or something which not present on video)

This has a practical application of getting better cell reception
You need to put Two propellers on top of each other stacked on one motor, then you make 4 motors around. Additionally you can use some casing around to make wind tunnel and thus concentrate the airflow.
Military tested double propellers.
The upward force should be enough to hold the phone for some time and when you include solar battery it will fly forever ,D

I CANNOT I SIMPLY CANNOT GET ENOUGH of the fact that this video and Captain D's video actively treat themselves as synchronous.
Both Captain D's video and this video start their "joined" segment at exactly the same time. And Mark referencing that time being "Five minutes late" can either be attributed to the start of the video, or the first mention of Captain Disillusion. Either way, that simple attention to detail is lovely, and the fact this segment of the video runs basically identical is wonderful.

The phone would stay upright because all of the weight is straight down toward the earth and the counteracting upward thrust is operating on the top (pretty much like a hot-air balloon, you don't see them falling over much). The shovel-balancing analogy is exactly upside down. The accurate analogy is "balancing" a shovel held from the top of the handle with the blade hanging downward. Somewhat easier. Station-keeping would still be a problem, and the Gravity-Assisted-Self-destruct feature isn't for everyone.

got an idea to put swiffer out of business (it only collect dust in the front part anyway then pushes it around) and plus it will not no matter the fluid used get spilled food like tomato sauce or egg, off the fllor and heave forbid your Dog has a case of the runs.
This could be built as a quadcopter with two motors further behind the phone, and of cause stronger motors. For battery, gyro and accelerometer, use the phone itself, leaving only enough outside electronics to pass controlled amounts of energy to the motors. Still the real motors would be bigger and the battery time severely limited. A third option would be a traditional airplane configuration with wings and ailerons.

Bit of a weird point to make, but when you're talking about the acoustics of having that many fans, you said 13 more would make it at least 6 times louder. If I'm not mistaken, and I could very well be, wouldn't that many extra fans only make it a little over twice as loud? If I play 2 Bluetooth speakers at maximum volume, they aren't twice as loud as just one, I'd need about 10 in order for it to be twice as loud as just the one.
Feels weird correcting an aerospace engineer, which leads me to believe I'm totally wrong, but I'm pretty sure I learned that somewhere so just thought I'd make a point of it 😅
Next build I'd like to see a toroidal propeller quad so it would be quieter, more stable and require less power.

I've been considering starting a channel specifically devoted to that. But, in a non belittling way meant to inspire flat Earthers to ask questions and then perform experiments to confirm or deny their hypothesis. Maybe someone will beat me to it.
Teemo I hope he doesn’t, we need to quit giving those people so much attention. Mark should be above that. We proved the earth was round thousands of years ago and no amount of evidence will convince a flat earther.
