I like junkyard videos
My old weekend hobby, miss going to the junkyard.
Impressed with your knowledge on these classic cars! Junkyards are great for buying spare parts on the cheap if you know what to look for
I’m here for it. Junkyards 👍🏻
Thanks for stopping by Sarah! I always liked your junkyard videos too!
All the youtube rebuilders I have watched all started at the junk yards.. love to see this.
This was pretty interesting but its sad to see so many classics in rough shape. Cars had more character back then than compared to the ones today. I miss having so many coupe options, all the new cars today for the most part are four doors. Nice break from the weekly update videos, thanks for doing this!
Thanks for watching Ian!
There are almost no coupes left today, and absolutely no bigger ones.
The headrest speakers were definitely a nice surprise
Keep doing the junk yard videos. I was trolling junkyards for parts and kicks in NoDak and West Germany before you were born, so a '72 T-bird, AMC Eagle, Audi 5000, and a 1974 Mercury CAPRI are just old friends to me.
Great video, Matt! 😊
Although sad to see some of them being at a junkyard, it was still a quite interesting video 😊
Thanks for watching!
So much variety. Crazy!
Very cool, junk yard exploration is very interesting. By the way, the car you thought was a Mercury Comet is actually a Mercury Capri. In the late 70s early eighties, the Capri would become a rebadged fox body Mustang.
Glad you like it too!
Wow didn’t know Matt get down like that!!! Love junk yards lol 😅
I love this stuff! Thanks for doing this. A lot of these cars remind me of what I'd see when I was a kid.
Haha amazing video. 6:13 had me laughing "respectable for a Range Rover" 😂😂
Interesting to see how they’re basically all sedans and coupes. Maybe just this section, but wild to think everything is an SUV now
Good walk down memory lane with some of these vehicles. Crazy to think vehicles I used to see on the road as a child are here in the junk yard but then again, 25 years will do that to a car. Please do another video similar to this.
Thanks, I'm hoping to do more eventually!
This was fun to watch! Great video Matt!
Thanks Lorenzo, glad you liked it!
Awesome video Matt, I really hope you keep doing these! 👏🏼
Thanks Daniel, I'm hoping to do more of them eventually!
I love this interesting new content. It's a good mix up from your usual content. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Jared, glad you’re liking the different videos!
0:14 That Range Rover has been put out of its and the owner's misery lol.
I loved this vid! Used to go check out the junkyard with my friends and chill in the random old cars... I'd watch more of these!! Thanks!!
Thanks Sam, glad you liked it!
It's hard to understate how futuristic and different the Oldsmobile Aurora was compared to its peers. It looked nothing like it's siblings and it had the Aurora 4.0 engine that GM was using in racing at the time.
Awesome video man! I’d definitely watch more of these if you decide to make more
Yesss matt! We need a weekly junkyard segment!
I'd love to do more, I'm glad you liked it Jordan!
truly awesome video - nothing like it on youtube. please continue this series!
Thanks Steve, I'm hoping to do more eventually!
Very cool vid, please make more. Love hearing your candid commentary on random vehicles
Thanks Aziz, I hope to do more of these eventually!
Goes to show you that what's old is new again. The Thunderbird had a light bar waaay back then.
Great video, excited to see more! Those older cars were really cool, and a few vintage ones in the beginning too. You should maybe bring Vintage car fan back
Haha maybe someday! Thanks for watching Haris!
Cool walk down memory lane. Thanks Matt!
Thanks Brent, glad you liked it!
You should do marsh auto salvage in dawson, pa next. It’s such a big yard that they have specific import car sections (vw, honda, lexus, etc just to name a few). They even have a lawn mower pick and pull as well lol
Best foreign auto salvage in aliquippa, pa is also another good one
Xterra coming back would be a hit, but knowing Nissan they'd probably make it a unibody CUV. I always really enjoy these non-review videos!
If it comes back, I hope it’s not unibody, it needs to compete with the 4Runner and should share the same platform with the Frontier
This was interesting to watch thank you for showing us around
Thanks for watching!
Even if you don't do these often, this was fun. And it took me back to my own Celica and Fiero.
Great video! As a car guy I really love these junkyard walk arounds.
Thanks Jim, I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks Matt! This video was interesting and brought back a lot of memories. You had my attention with each vehicle you explored. Thanks for sharing your perspective and for taking us with you on this little adventure! 🙂😃🚗🚘🚙🛻
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I really enjoyed this even though it is quite sad. Still interesting to see.
I didn’t realize that Infiniti is as old as it is.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Matt-Pretty sure you live a lot closer to Harry’s U-Pull It. I’ve been to both. Awesome places. If you’ve never been check them out. Allentown and Hazelton. Cheers!
It's almost a museum, some real old cars there you just don't see anymore
The local pick n pull near me shut down like 5 years ago. I may or may not have grabbed a Volvo Turbo badge and stuffed it in my pocket
Nice video Matt keep these coming, I think that Cavalier owner was inspired by Porsche to paint his bumpers that color lol that Impala SS actually had a 5.3 Vortec V8 but was unfortunately still FWD 😢
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the info on the SS!
So many car models you showed that I've interacted with over the years.. reminds me how old I am 😅. I've always been a sucker for the later Thunderbirds (95-97) and their upscale twin the Lincoln Continental mk8. Was like a bigger Mustang with a 'more functional' backseat 😏
Yeah, shame they didn't bring them back, I think a bigger Mustang still would have a chance at decent sales success.
Cool segment 😎 great idea.. 👍
Thanks! 👍
good video Matt!
There's an AMC Eagle that's still running here in Virginia. I see it at least once a week!
Nice!
Those seats on the 5th Avenue must have been very comfortable. 😁
I know, like sitting on pillows haha.
This video was different and very fun. Matt's all about car culture and that's great. Hope they don't crush that sweet '71 Nova just 'cause it's not a 2 door. lol
I hope so too! Glad you enjoyed the video Ernesto!
Matt Magnante! Big thumbs up 👍
Haha thanks Dave!
15:40 I see they opted for the optional rain-water collection system.
Love it!
Thanks Curtis!
Matt , you should do this more often. Or do a walk thru copart or a auction to give us advice on what’s a good deal to bid on .price and condition
I'd love to do more of these eventually, my car review schedule just usually keeps me pretty busy. But I'm hoping to do at least 1 more this year.
Great video! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! 👍
#1Cochran...lol. I bought a few cars from them back in 90's from their Monroeville and Robinson Twp locations.
Haha nice!
A lot of those seem to be in very decent shape still. Nice change of pace Matt
Thanks!
Definitely like this video
Happy to hear!
That ‘16 mustang must have plowed thru a crowd to get there 😂
The Reason those Pontiac Fieros had low Miles was the Engines were Crap. GM Planned Obsolescence made sure to use the worst 4 cylinder Garbage that was Designed to last until the Warranty Expired !
Great video! I also suggest filming Copart walkarounds you get a large variety of cars to look at and it’s never ending content because cars come and go all the time. Also the cars at copart are in much better condition(not pristine however). I suggest watching a few minutes of autoauctionrebuild on CZcams to give you inspiration
I'll check it out, thanks! This U-Pull & Pay says they turn over cars every few weeks to keep it fresh too, so I could probably make this a monthly thing and still see totally new stuff each time.
Very cool video
Thanks!
My favorite one was the mercury sable I’ve always liked those and can you do some Hyundai’s Pontiac’s and Toyotas that would be awesome
I'm hoping to cover more in a future video eventually!
The original Honda Passport is actually not a Honda at all but rather a Mitsubishi. Interestingly, it was only available in the U.S. market. Junk yard crawls are very educational, hope you enjoyed it, Great video!
Yeah, the good old days of badge engineering. I believe it was also the Isuzu Rodeo.
Yes, my apologies, it was the Isuzu not Mitsubishi. Great memory Matt 👍
🔥🔥🔥
I hated seeing that 72 T-Bird - maybe someone will save it. I also didn't like seeing the red Cherokee in the line up for crushing. Of course, being a PA car, it may be shot underneath. Not many of the cars that you featured had that much rust on them.
Hoovies Garage type vibe
Some of the junkyard stickers that they put on the older cars are not the actual name. The Mercury Capri comes to mind. That was marked as a Comet? Nope.
It's like going to a Radwood show, kinda
I hope you can do more of these. I've always loved visiting wreckers, bought many parts for my 84 Rabbit GTI and 87 Cabriolet
I'm hoping to do more eventually!
Not an 8 track in the T bird. Just a cassette.
Pretty fun vid, learn about older cars and see some history!
Glad you liked it Eddie!
16:44 Is that the same generation that was in Drive (2011)?
Yep!
@@MattMaranMotoring oh wow that's so cool
What do you think of the new 2024 Elantra N looks?
I love it! I'll be discussing it in Friday's video!
Hurts a little seeing a magnum trashed like that
I know :(
I wanted one myself years ago. I saw a bright red one at a local Dodge, Jeep dealer
I have an inferno red v6 one, 2007 that I'm planning to take up to Matt so he can review it
2:45 "NiCe C8's!" 🙄
Buy one and do a restoratiin project
The fiero interior was never flawless lol
I imagine most of those good condition low millage cars are there because they were owned by an old person who passed away. Non of their family wanted their car so it ended up there. Too many people these days think anything that isn't a modern crossover is just outdated junk😒
Yeah it's a shame that people don't try to sell some of this stuff. Thankfully this U-Pull & Pay is gonna start selling cars soon. That way if something comes in that's too nice to be junked, it'll get a second chance at life.
@@MattMaranMotoring I think that's a great idea! Especially with they way used car prices are rn.
4 world your old cars disliked the video 😂
FORD CAPRI...FORD CAPRI
Ah okay, thanks for the correction!
That Range Rover is probably mechanically totaled. Just ask @HooviesGarage.
