    Blues fan, Tarasenko is one of my all time favorites. Great signing Detroit, on a line w Kane I cam see Vova getting 30 goals . The red wings are going to be a much better team next season, can't wait to see how it goes!

    Blues fan checking in. Just know Tarasenko isn't a one-timer guy like Perron. Senko likes to dust off the puck. Treat him well, and I hope Detroit makes the playoffs!

    Great video and analysis, here! Like you, I was really impressed with the Tyler Motte signing, which kind of sneaked in under the radar, with relatively little commentary. Great team player, has grit, very high compete-factor, and a nice knack of having his stick in just the right place to set up his teammates for scoring chances and goals.
    The Vladimir T. signing was a classic Steve Yzerman rabbit-out-of-the-hat moment; while everybody's firing up (including, seemingly some Penguins employees with access to e-mail😁!) about Vlad heading to Pittsburgh, Steve Y. quietly weaves his behind-the+scenes magic and 'Hey Presto', VT's sufdenly a Red Wing -- love it💥👍!
    Great to see you giving a much deserved mention/nod to the Magician, Pavel Datsyuk, following his quiet trip over to the Red Wings' development camp. Man, how lucky the young guys there are to be standing on the same ice as the Legend that is Pavel D👍! Fantastic player in Detroit, and an absolutely first-class -- and good-humored😁 -- human being👍👏🎯!
    Really beginning to look forward to next season, now!
    Please keep up the great work!
    Let's Go, Red Wings🏒🥅🎯!

    Tarasenko scored 23 goals and put up 55 points between Ottawa and Florida last season
    With an increased role (compared to Florida), I could see him score 25 to 30 goals Paired with Raymond or Kane

    Russian tank is coming to Detroit. Tarasenko is a proud guy who still wants to win big things, prove his value wherever he plays. He did it in St. Louis, Florida and now he is gonna do it in Detroit. Tarasenko, Kane on the same line would be exciting for sure.

  • @nickfury8973

    They need to move a goalie
    And Pat Verbeek was Yzerman’s right hand man, this Fabbri trade puts Ducks over the cap floor, and give them another body in the middle six. It is a win win trade.
    Also, I think taking Gage Alexander back opens up a contract slot for the ducks which ducks can use to sign a college UfA guy later in the season
    So now we know St Louis, Dallas and Anaheim are all our trade partners out west. Kenny is gone from Edmonton but he might get a rumored role with Chicago, that is something.
    You need friends (GMs) in the league to help you clean up cap space

  • @nicksmith8141

    One move left. I think it ends up being a 3-team trade. Need a Defensive minded RHD while moving Husso.
    The players I came up with were Manson (2x$4.5), Trouba (2x$8), Ekblad (1x$7.5), Eduard-Vlasic (2x$7), Faulk (3x$6.5).

    Tarasenko is better defensively than you (and most others) give him credit for. He comes back hard and is good in the boards. Players like him get misinterpreted due to being the first guy out of the zone, but it's important to have guys that can recognize when his defense will be taking over control and looking for an outlet so that they don't get hemmed in or just ice the puck.

    Buschy, Very pleased with Tarasenko signing and moving Fabbri out. There is now about 20 million cap space. Most of that would be for our four RFA'S. We still need a 2nd pair RD and moving on from Holl and Husso. Our PP should be lethal with Larkin, Kane, Raymond, Debrincat, Seider and Tarasenko. Pittsburgh had also made an offer for Tarasenko. I agree on your D evaluation.I would love to bring in Ekblad who is mean, physical, and great defensively.

    Even if they got Tarasenko, the offseason for Detroit is not done yet. Justin Holl needs to go because that is one of the worst signings in free agency in Red Wings history. They got to trade him somewhere for another good defense. They need to go get another good defense and another good offense player to replace for Fabbri.

    Holl, Petry need to be gone for sure,
    People were saying even before we signed Tarasenko that we aren't any better then we were last year. I think people forget we didn't have Kane and Ed at the start of last year, we will this year and that's a huge plus in its self. We improved a bit in net which is nice. I don't see us doing too much in net since we have 2 very promising goalies in the pipeline that will hopefully soon be here in 2-3 seasons. Plus some of of prospects are ready to come up, if not very very soon. Ed if of course up now so that's a start. Hopefully Johansson and Danielson. Then Bergy and Kasper. From what I hear all these prospects are pretty much ready to make the jump. I know we can't shouldn't bring them all up at once but hopefully with Ed we have begun to see it happen. We all know Bergy is for sure ready. He looked great during his time with the team. Kinda felt bad for him spending damn near all season with GR again. But I'm sure it was good for him, specially going on their playoff run.

    So can someone help me out with something here, 🤔 so in today's new NHL power teams like the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers especially from a few seasons ago able to have as many good players as you do on their roster.. even at the Vegas Golden Knights as well.. I'm saying with like the way contract is and with the cap.. what is it because they're young guys are already taking that early leap therefore they don't have to spend as much?.. because about three of their players are on the rookie contracts or something like that and a lot of the other free agents are on good deals or something?? .. like how are things like that able to afford so many good players and keep them for like a few years at a time?.. you know what i mean??... Thank you to whoever can help 🙏

    • @HealthyScratchRedWingsReport
      @HealthyScratchRedWingsReport  Před 6 dny

      If you go look at the Golden Knights, their cap situation is not the best, they lost a few guys already because of bloated contracts. The Oilers have the two best players in the league and a bunch of guys that play above their contract. The Panthers had a really solid cap structure and won the cup and now they had to let a few guys go. These teams were way ahead of the Red Wings in every regard a few years ago

    Letting Perron go was a bad decision. He was like glue along the boards and can put in a clutch goal when needed but was also a vocal leader in the locker room and immediately went after Ottawa when Larks was passed out in the ice. VT will score some but the rest?,.. I’m not sure

    • @casewojo6186

      @HealthyScratchRedWingsReport  Před 6 dny +1

      Perron's skating is a huge problem. I agree he was a great wall player but he's not worth $4 million a year, especially for two more seasons. Tarasenko is younger and quicker. I'm confident he will replace Perron's goals. Tarasenko also has two cups and is a veteran player too. They have enough leaders in that dressing room to keep moving forward
