Dino, I know the 1996 stock well and it’s motors. On retirement, They eventually will. These trains have been in operation since 1997 despite their name. This means that they are about half way through their lifecycle and we should see them retired in about 20 years time ☹️. We all will miss them.
@@ynysboy2985 hasnt the 1972/1973 stock been in use for almost 50 years though? 1996/1995 stock may be in use for 50 years like the 1972/1973 are aswell
This is the first day that I had taken the Jubilee Line. The sound it makes when it departs is soo satisfying! But, its really noisy when it travels a bit fast through the tunnels..
I remember being in London in 2009 (I was ~5) and hearing this sound while travelling on the line. Hearing Wilbur Soot's song made me think of it, and I just had to check. Thank you for posting this video! I wonder why the Calgary C-Train motors don't make that noise, but it seems like so many other lines in the world do.
Nothing people like? But I do!? IT IS SO COOL AND FASCINATING! The way it pulls in the way it sounds! 10/10 bruh so good I LOVE UNDERGROUND TRAINS (ADDICTIVED)
Me too, it's the Most Soothing sound from any known train on the London Tube ever known, I made a CD of that sound as an effective Relaxation Aid which really works.
Nowadays the Jubilee cuts off the final part of its deceleration. I assume to reduce wear or something, which is valid but is a little sad. I loved hearing the full orchestra.
The jubilee line train is like a Victoria line train hen it stops. But Victoria line stops at stations at 17 secs and the Victoria line trains stop at 16 secs and all the s stocks and slow underground trains are 25 secs btw the trains are circle and district lines, hammer smith and city, and metropolitan lines. Even do there not deep level.
This sound is lovely. I never want these trains to retire

Yeah, these trains will leave a memory or two behind
I would say the same for its twin, 1995 train stock
Same happened with the 313

God I miss London i love the sound when the jubilee line takes off 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Me too
@ScriptedHqrry buddy it's not that serious lol go outside and touch some grass
Same! Something about it is just amazing... I dont know what.
Same
Listen to it in 2x speed and then it DEFINITELY sounds like a plane

Yup but i live in the part of the jubilee thats overground.
The underground going though the tunnels is really satisfying
The best sounding and looking tube train ever. I made a CD of that motor sound and played it thousands of times repeated.
These sound so nostalgic. Most times when I went to London, I'd take the jubilee line.
When I visit London again I am going to ride these epic trains because of their ATO and beautiful motor sounds
They are also my favorite trains on the underground
The sound is the best on the underground, its extremely nostalgic

When these trains do retire, I’m really going to miss the traction motor sound. Everyone is. 😔😔😔
Not for a long time, my guess is probably 2045ish
1:29 'there is good service operating on all other lines'
*Best joke I've ever heard*
?
@@Great_WesternTVFan joke: English people are never on time, I was being sarcastic
@@Simulation101YT ok
they should get a raise for stopping so smooth
The trains are controlled by computer, the driver is only there to operate the doors
@@face_thereality yeah and that’s what’s so good about the London Underground trains they are so advanced
I love the sound when it enters the station aswell as the sound when it departsssss
To me it sounds like an F1 Car
More or less ^^
Nah
Jubilee line tube west minister station number one in the world
no Canary Wharf although Westminister is good
Annoying CZcams comments to this sound be like: I wAnT tHiS sOnG tO bE pLaYeD aT mY fUnErAl
Great video. ☺️
I just really like trains
My fav train may be the Northern Line 1995 stock, but the jubilee 1996 stock just is by far the best sounding train
The pandemic has actually made me miss this sound, never thought that would be the case 😅
Me too, it's the Most Soothing sound from any known train on the London Tube ever known, I made a CD of that sound as an effective Relaxation Aid which really works.
0:09 my favorite part
there’s ⏃ reason london puts barriers on the tube line
related?
nope
There is a reason they fail
The fact that I'm on a CZcams video about these trains just to hear the electrics...
Fully obsessed with trains. I've officially joined the dark side.

I used to not like platform edge doors... but whoa buddy, they are so slick and futuristic.
The whole underground network will get them after removing the older 70s stock trains
And the nirthern Great_Western 2929 TVFan
2020 not 2929 i hate the stupid iPad keyboard
@@Great_WesternTVFan No it won't
@@Great_WesternTVFanno they won't. some stations are too historic to get them.
My dream job.
I will always be the best sounding train
Nevermind I’m not the jubilee Line anymore
Nice video👍👍👍
arrive at 0:08
doors open at 0:46

The trains are very fast but so slow acceleration I forgot to say
Tomorrow is this video's 1 Year Anniversary!
a year or so ago (i think), on july 8th, 2020, a comment was created about how this video was one year ago.
brrrBrrr *BRRRRRR*
Me too
I went the jubilee line and l went to the movies
Do you know why underground train make this noise because I it's better like South Eastern or DLR
1996 stock or 1995 stock
Alstom ONIX
Is this Westminster?
I think it’s Canada Water because I can hear a class 378 at the start
But the london overground wouldn't be that close that you can hear it in a different platform
@@fidkrdk7283 but it sounds exactly like a class 378.
First one's Canada Water, second one -Canary Wharf- North Greenwich
Dominic Findlay Sorry , not true. If you watch carefully you can see a sign pointing towards the O2 , which is at North Greenwich

Ish, the only thing the drivers do is open and close the doors
@ForzaSharp Yh I never really driven the train before ngl 😂
