Jubilee line 1996 stock train at Waterloo - New York style announcements on Friday evening!

- An Eastbound Jubilee line service (1996 Stock) arrives and departs Waterloo station. Please note that the staff making announcements is the famous New Yorker one. I like him saying "be well to your work and have a lovely lovely weekend! (since it was on Friday evening)" and was really pleased to see him!
Since I am not a native English speaker, please tell me if you have found any mistakes on the subtitles or such. And I apologise for the bad quality of the sound. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
'96 stock is the best. I love that motor noise.

thanks for commenting all,
i often travel through Waterloo just to see this guy working on the platform. Seeing him and hearing his announcements are a little pleasure in everyday's boring commute.
@The Comedy Clubhouse Studios since in the description it says it was a Friday evening, it has to be 6th jan 2012, and it was uploaded a day later too
This guy makes my morning, every morning. Well done, Sir!
we need more dispatchers like this PLEASE!!!
I used to see this guy most evenings on my commute home. I always fist bumped him. Lovely guy!
that guy was featured on The Tube: Going Underground series in 2015-2016
If you wanna hear the heavenly noise of the traction wheel, 0:13 and 0:57
i think ive seen him around a couple of times. :) put a smile on my face everytime
Wow, so funny to hear an American announcing on the tube! Hope to be lucky enough to encounter him during my stay in London, hopefully in a few weeks!
@@lifeless66 yes he is
You will never encounter him, this is 10 years and he’s gone now bruv
@@konyctg Bruh my comment is 7 years old too
@@lifeless66 he’s is
i love when train dispatchers are sometimes fun!
that sign/board is held up to the driver to let him know that the doors are clear and he can close them. they only tend to use them at busy stations or at peak times. the rest of the time the drivers have camara's or mirrors they use to judge when to close the doors. its all to do with safety mainly
its a shame they don't have him anymore. I only see London underground staff at ticket barriers and at platforms where train terminates... He seemed like he was enjoying it too!!!
+Tom Tominta Maybe he's been moved to Stratford or Elephant and Castle.
doubt it.. :(
Never seen him in person.
What does he do now then *****?
Wait someone said the exact same thing😮
IT a shame they don't have him anymore. I only see London underground staff at ticket barriers and at platforms where train terminates... He seemed like he was enjoying it too!!! completely!
He's back on the Jubilee line now!
What a lovely guy
I wish people would do things like that in Boston but often they don’t. Sometimes if you travel through a stage like Park Street in downtown you can find a person like this.
+plumbob elias the sign he holds up is the modern day equivalent to the famous 'green flag' used by guards in the days of BR steam, it basically tells the driver that it is safe to depart.
The guy is nice, all station guards should be like that
Something tells me I've seen him before
Haha, this dude has been video'd before on the Bakerloo line platform doing this!
This station is Waterloo change here for the bakerloo Northern Waterloo and city line and national rail services
The London Underground puts the New York Subway to shame!!!!
The New York Subway Trains are old, they're dirty and noisy and they are falling apart. Where as the London Underground Tube trains, especially the Jubilee Line 1996 Stock Trains are much newer, they are quieter (Even with the famous wine at accelerations), they're a lot cleaner, and maintained a heck of a lot better than the New York Subways. Not to mention this guy making the announcement only makes it better ;)
+Chris9017 You clearly haven't been on the Bakerloo line!
That line is an exception. LOL!!!!
Yeah, except as a New Yorker, I can say that half of the trains are brand-new. But this guy's announcements are cool - even though that's not how we really do it in NYC... ;)
Chris9017 trust me it's not nice when it's rush hour, it's bloody hot in the train
omg... look. see, it makes a difference! New York is a city of grottiness and, is quite the opposite of London Underground. If they change those they will change the whole country. btw it is hard to change it... its still ok though... there are pros and cons on everything
Bro's gonna steal my lunch money
This guy is on the new The Tube: Going Underground, TV Program, He was put on an episode, were he just came back to work after witnessing someone falling under a train when trying to board/leave the train :(, Anyway, Is this guy still here, or even on the Underground anymore?
Episode? Series?
Destination:North Greenwich
he reminds me of the red dwarf toaster
i was there
i feel bad for this guy's job lol.
Thats how it should be annouced
1996 stock sounds like a 323
It sounds like the R160 Siemens.
He's like Carl Downer who works at Victoria.
Looking for the day when American English emerges from the recorded announcement as well lol

LUL dispatcher?
I hate those outer doors so much!
would you like to see someone falling under the train? These doors were made for people's safety
How do you hate them theyre sick
@@DimaShirshkov1 that's not their main purpose
@@syntheticmedic that IS their main purpose!
@@DimaShirshkov1 could be but they were probably primarily made to control air flow or minimise air conditioning costs
