That's one of the things I like the most about him, whenever I need help he'll help me in detail through it all and keep pushing me until I make it. I'm an ENTJ artist so this made my day! Most people are really surprised when they learn my type (they usually assume I'm either an ISFP or an INFJ...which cracks me up). Also, thank you for acknowledging how selfless ENTJ's can really be and often are! I know we can often come off as assholes but I've seen many ENTJs often be the only one to befriend the "weird kid" or defend people weaker than them. I even saw an ENTJ remain the only real friend to a kid who was dying of cancer because they were the only one not disgusted by the disfiguration caused by some of the treatments. If an ENTJ really cares about someone, they will walk through hell for them and never demand a thank you. I think we often pretend we aren't the type who would do that but I'm suspicious that's just because the stereotypical "savior" types are usually annoying or attention seeking so we'd rather surprise people (that and emotions are often seen as "inefficient" to us so we pretend we don't have them...when we often have way too many).

    • @roisinnigcrainn7722
      @roisinnigcrainn7722 Před 3 lety +25

      This comment is beautiful. I (an ENTJ) was bullied and excluded for a lot of my childhood - likely because I was deemed a "bossyboots" or because people just didn't relate to me. When I saw similar things (bullying/exclusion) happening to other kids, I'd usually defend them and try to befriend them. Unfortunately, those I tried to defend/befriend were usually FP types, who were once again intimidated by my rational and and bold demeanor. So I was pretty much friendless for a great deal of my childhood. I was the kid at the front of the class with my hand up for every question, only to be told to "calm down" and "give others a chance to answer". Now I understand it was to encourage the other kids to not be lazy, but at the same time, part of me wants to say "that's _their_ responsibility". Let me show them how to succeed!
      I'm usually the first in my family to cry at movies, whether happy or sad. Anything that really touches me emotionally is not a "waste of time" - quite the opposite. Just because I don't "feel" first doesn't mean I don't feel at all. I feel emotions incredibly deeply - possibly deeper than the average person, it's just that I have to know that all logical resources have been exhausted before I can truly feel "hopeless" or anything like that. That's why if a movie or TV show doesn't have a compelling or logical plot, or if said plot is full of holes, I find it impossible to become emotionally invested in said movie/show or its characters.
      This ended up being far more tangential than initially intended. Oh well.

      Yes, though I was bullied, I could take it, and would stand up for weaker kids. Not only was I a weird kid, but I sat with the losers/weird/retarded kids at lunch because no one else would. When I discovered how much personal power I had (around my senior year of high school), I loved it because I could use it to help even more people. I'm still doing it...as a high school science teacher!

      I’m an ENTJ and I don’t see emotions as “inefficient”. In fact, I think it’s necessary. I used to bottle up my emotions a lot and not be emotionally vulnerable due to fear of letting my guard down which I wasn’t encouraged to do throughout my childhood. Now I realize how important expressing your emotions are. Yeah ofc I don’t go overboard. I still keep my cool and focus while I’m at work but I have found that with personal relationships and friendships, being able to express myself emotionally helps me connect better with others and its just as important as being efficient! Maybe I’m one of the ESFP-esque ENTJs that he was talking about lol but I believe being able to regulate your emotions and express them is important for all the types.

I figured out how to better get along with them and that was to respect their Fe needs in small doses. Their Si and Ni perception of me took time to change, but it happened based on on our limited interactions. I believe in having a support system, so I had to figure out how to meet the Fe and Fi needs. Because of all of this bs, an ENTJ might not seem like an ENTJ. I'm an artist ENTJ (who tests very close to being an ENFJ), and I believe that a good bit of my personality, worldview, and traits were forged by having to support members of my immediate family afflicted with mental illness. Struggling in that environment nearly every day, for years and years, pushed me in a very specific direction. When one's livelihood depends on people who act illogically, one forms their own path to logic in order to maintain their own mental health. That takes creativity. Hello, autistic ENTJ here. I struggle a lot with executive dysfunction (basically, I really want/need to do this thing, why on Earth am I not doing it already) and suspect myself to have ADHD as well. I’m certainly not the stereotypical ENTJ.
    I have what I refer to as cyclic interests. I have a set amount of things I am interested in, and I’ll obsess over them one by one until I work my way back around. I benefit from have a couple of goals at once, and I move from one from to the other.
    Right now I’m focussing a lot on what I want to do in life. I’ll need to decide my GCSEs next year, and so am reverse engineering my way back from jobs I’d be interested in doing. I also plan to start working on poetry in order to fill some books in order to make some money on the side in the future.
    The methods I have described above help me be more efficient while not forcing myself to work against my neurodivergencies as much to give me burnout. Also, my free time is worth far more to me than money. So I've always assumed I'd be a disappointment to an ENTJ because most of what I produce, as my hobby, isn't worth much money. I write stories, with a psychological bent. I did love collaborating with my graduating class while finishing my software developement degree, though. Awesomely synergistic. Hopefully when life gets back to normal that will give me the motivation to get out there. Otherwise, it was something of a relief to have the pressure to socialize lifted for a while. ;)
      Fun. I like the idea of 'fun'. When I was a kid, I love playing 'let's pretend' with neighborhood kids, using nothing more than my imagination, but that all went away when my friends grew up and stopped wanting to play. Now I write stories to continue to use my imagination, but I often wonder if there are any adults out there who still like to play?
      It's really not common. As an ENTJ who has a lot of MBTI beginners (who are only familiar with stereotypes) in shock because of my extreme artistic tendencies (I can seem like an ESTP showman in certain situations and am also the one everyone seeks for design and aesthetics from fashion to making a presentation, bookmark, logo, etc.) as well as my focus on creativity (from writing and poetry and music and obsession with learning everything and debating and connecting it all-which has people mistyping me as ENTP-to making unlikely connections and finding solutions in chaos), I found this video very accurate.
    What those people don't seem to realise is that I only do any of that if it serves a purpose-be it making money, gaining experience to later make money, or honing a talent that would be useful for my ultimate vision and goal of making a change in the world (or should I say, the certain changes that I've already envisioned and planned) and, of course, money. 😂 It just so happens that I *always* find a reason to do things and incorporate my interests and side projects in my final goal.

    Yeah, I definitely fall into this category of ENTJ. My creativity is very strategic and individualistic. I usually have a purpose when doing a painting or design. It will usually have more than one meaning, but it has to be meaningful, or I lose interest. In my younger years, I would draw and never finish anything. I could amaze people with my talents, but it wasn't until I learned that every picture could tell a story and every object in the picture had its own story, that I started loving art again. I could, in fact, give people a deep emotional experience rather than being one. I would rather inspire people with something new, not hotel art, as beautiful as it is. I find it pointless. She likes to argue, but seems to actually take things personally (although she tries to hide it). She had an opinion about everything and I mean everything. I never truly understood her, but accepted her for who she is. She's a hard worker for sure.

    Makes so much sense for the two ENTJ's I know. One being my mum, who has always aspired to be an artist (painter), and now that she's older, does a lot of humanitarian and altruistic work to better her community. The other I definitely thought was mistyped as an ESFP or ESTP because he's so adventure-seeking, but first and foremost very goal orientated and a high achiever.
    The common denominator I've noticed in both is the constant pursuit of their inferior Fi, both want to be kind, caring and empathetic individuals even though they're not always the best at it haha!

    ENTJ-A here. I would not consider myself a workaholic, for me to work as efficiently and productively as possible, I have to see the benefits that the work brings to the table and whether or not I actually enjoy that work to be motivated to do it. However, once I am motivated to do it I will be the most productive person on that task. I view work only as a necessary means to achieve my goals in life and afford things that I want, and once I get those things I want to help others find a way to live that way as well. I will work hard for promotions and leadership positions if that brings value, if not then the extra work is simply not worth it and I will not waste my time. Not eventually being able to do everything I want to do in life is unacceptable, and I will stay driven to achieve my goals. I have 5, 10, and 20 year plans and they are constantly changing. I am brutally honest, and often accidentally offend people, and I don’t mean to hurt them, but the truth hurts and I feel that I am doing a greater service to people by giving them the best possible answer or opinion and pissing them off than telling them what they want to hear. I’ve ruined friendships that way but oh well. I try to stay as authentic as possible because I believe that is the most valuable type of friendship and relationship to have with others. People love me or hate me, there’s no in between and if they’re wishy washy then they’re not really authentic and I’m not going to trust that person or consider them a valuable person in my life.

    My youngest brother is an ENTJ. And he does have a certain ruthless streak, but it's focused on making sure the people around him are ok, intact, and not going to accidentally burn the house down when they're drunk and want to make pizza.
    I've always found him to be very creative, always building something. He built a desk for his apartment, a 3D printer to build models with, and Christmas gifts.
    I do see the product focused aspects here. He plays a lot of DnD, and his characters are always focused around a concept or some thing like that, that he takes to the logical extreme. Like, what if a Kobalt was Don Quiote? Or how would an atheist rationalist function in a world with active gods? What chaotic evil druid actually be like?
    He's also that sort of ruthless with himself. And I do see him starting to find that thing he wants to do with himself, and I suspect he will ruffle a lot of feathers along the way too.

    Entj female 31 years old. Took myers briggs at age 12 and it still never changes. Been using knowledge of my weaknesses to work more in areas I struggle with (feelings and addictions). It is still hard and I haven't managed to change my preferences, but I have been developing my weaker sides. Under stress, I am 100% my shadow (which I think is Eminem 😅). I'm married to an INTJ. I yell a lot and lose patience, but we get each other. Obviously losing my temper is embarassing- been working on that. It stems from different priorities. What I want done I want done now and I don't see that changing. But I found purpose in a career I love and it is transforming me. Also, most of my friends are ENFs - they help me a lot. We don't share the same responsibilities toward one another, and so I can receive feedback without immediate consequence - just gathering multiple perspectives. I get schooled a lot by my feeling friends, but I appreciate it greatly. I have to remind myself to be more other directed every day. What sucks is that I feel like a very sensitive and emotional person under stress, and I am detached in my expression of it. Music helps! Someone else said it for me in a song - so I just play a relevant song and cry and then toughen up. At my most mature moments, I will be vulnerable. But if I feel like I am put on the defensive, I retreat to logic even if the other party is working on a feeling level.

We have a system where I literally have to say his name aloud if I want him to respond (I do lots of talking aloud and he has to separate it). I thought 1- don't tell me how I feel 2- this feels manipulative, how does he think I'll respond or what does he hope I'll respond and 3- I didn't even get to say how I felt. I was robbed of the choice to agree or disagree. He said he didn't think he did anything wrong because he said "lol" after "I guess you don't feel the same way." By this point I'd lost my patience and started texting hateful things followed by lol. We both let go of it by morning. The sad part/frustration was that I did feel the same and was planning to respond. Ahhhhhh. Gotta love communication hahaha

    I tend do things based on values and interests. And when I do, I try reaching it's full potential-which is maximum growth, maximum exposure. (horizontal expansion [finding every aspect that can be adjusted], vertical growth for every aspect [maximizing each aspect], this is called "scaling", all while also being extremely efficient to reduce the time it takes to achieve said "full potential") I aim to seek somethings full potential versus doing things for money. Money is just a byproduct from growing these "things" at juggernaut levels. And while at it, as much as I can have empathy for people, my patience and sympathy is extremely low. No one is safe being in my way, respectfully. I am very adaptable, very "open", very caring, and emotional with key people, but very low tolerance for BS. A lot of people tend to take advantage of emotions and try manipulating people's decision-making to their favor.

    ENTJ here, but I was tested as an ENTP. My story is very complex, but after coming to a crossroads, I have come to realize that external factors can suppress a natural personality, and for long periods of time. I went through multiple traumatic episodes as a kid, that I never got over until recently. Thankfully for me, my outlet was development and work, under the want for escape and freedom from my childhood. At the end of the day, I am pretty down the center but lean slightly E, T, and J. N is the only one I dominate, but even then, I grew up around a family of ESTJ's. I had practicality and details shoved down my throat, until I knew better. But because of the life I have had, I can help others in more ways than one. The biggest difference between myself and the ENTP's I have meet, are how we focus our energy... aka, ENTP's ADHD is like watching a dog constantly chase squirrels. Mine is like trying to make plans to deal with the squirrel, so I can get things done, because I like squirrels too.

    I always enjoy your analogies. In fact, the video about Elon Musk was great. Finally!!! Finally someone who thinks like me of him being an ENTJ, not an INTJ. When I saw your video I was readily able to notice 10000% that he was an ENTJ for sure. As my title shows, I am an ENTJ-A, a successful businessman with multi-national group of companies in USA, Korea and China, car-racer, car-collector, polyglot (speak 3 languages fluently (Korean, English and Portuguese), speak 2 languages OK (Spanish and French) and know 2 more languages lightly (Japanese and Chinese) - total seven), Play the piano, flute and violin; Mastered optometry (One day I had to wear glasses and I was not satisfied (actually REALLY frustrated) with doctors who prescribed my glasses so I had to learn myself (bought myself a "trial lens set", too) so I could be satisfied with my glasses' prescription) so I prescribed my own glasses ever since middle school; am an amateur arm-wrestler (I was always number one in whole school); I practiced Kungfu and Taewondo when young; I learned abacus so I know how to add up to three digit numbers without any tools --> It proves that ENTJs always take anything to the next level. We hardly get satisfied. We always strive to do the best and be the best in anything we do as long as the circumstances allow.
    I scored highest IQ (since elementary school) in schools all the time so I took the IQ test on a regular basis during my school years and my highest score was 187, although I don't believe that was a credible source of test so I don't believe that's correct but it's more like 160 because that's pretty much where I get most of my scores (several scores between 147 to 178 averaging at around 160). In fact, IQ is nothing else but "logic". ENTJs are absolute "Logic" people so I think this nothing surprising. There are many people that think INTPs and INTJs have higher IQs than any other types but that's because people don't really know the true ENTJs. True ENTJs all have high IQ. It's very natural for that to be because ENTJs don't stop analyzing, studying, thinking... because they are SUPER curious about everything they see and encounter. (The reason I say "true ENTJs" is because people say there are about 2~3% of ENTJs in the World but I completely disagree with that. There are TONS of people who come out as ENTJs when they are not and it's simply because our "Earth" that we live in is geared towards becoming an ENTJ. Think about it. Since you are born and since you start going to school, what do you learn? You learn to speak up. They don't teach you to be quiet. They teach you to speak out and communicate. That's an "E" character. Then what do they teach? They teach kids to have "DREAMS" and "visions". They teach you to imagine and think about future. They don't ever teach you to be stuck at your present. That's "N"! They teach you to be logical, efficient, reasonable and so forth. They are teaching you to be a "T", not an "F". Then finally what do we do in this World? Everything evolves around schedule. Schools are run strictly by schedule. Companies are run strictly on schedule. Buses and subways run on schedule - Otherwise will become chaotic!!! So it's a "J"!!! You see? The whole World is geared towards being an ENTJ. No wonder ENTJs are the highest income generators and they are the most effective leader, entrepreneur and conqueror. Because of these facts people are "educated" to become like an ENTJ even without them noticing it. That's why there are a lot of people who are NOT an ENTJ come out as an ENTJ. When I see an ENTJ I can spot them from miles away. I can see them, I can feel them, and I can even smell them. That's how eccentric ENTJs are. I can tell you that ENTJs are highly capable animals, indeed. After seeing your video I posted my own video myself about Elon Musk so hope you watch it, too, and see if you agree or not. ;-) MBTI is a non-defiable and non-deniable science!

    Hello I love your ENTJ videos they are so on point.
    For me as ENTJ I want to say that I don't see money as something the most valuable. I see value in personal growth of people (more like coaching) and making positive change in the world. I want to influence others in being better, this is what excites me. Money doesn't. I think it all goes to our inner values and for many people who don't get ENTJs they think that they work for money. No, we "work" (whatever that working is at the moment) for our Ni visions that originate from our values.
    Also I used to be very scary to people but I learned to pretend I'm Fe user by learning carefully what they do lol. Tips for other ENTJ with zero Fe intuition, who want to appear less scary:
    speak slower. Try relaxing muscles on your face when around people. Don't move your body so much, or move it but slower (🤣). Looks like you behave when you are veery tired 🤣
    When tempted to apply Te when it's not wanted - focus on your Se. (Reacting to surroundings). When tempted to used Te when stressed- focus on Fi and "shut down" yourself little bit.
    Lol funny things but they worked, I'm much less intimidating.
    Of course I'm all the way in my Te powers when I'm alone or.. just don't care.🤣

Very early in our relationship we had a conversation and it was discussed that there was really no point to this if we aren't trying to end up in the same spot. She declared a desire to have children (My wife is an INFJ). My response was that I would need time to achieve financial stability and feel fulfilled in terms of my career before having a child but if she would wait we could do it. A few years into our relationship we found out about the pregnancy and I had to decide how I was going to live my life. There was a moment where it was all in or all out, I was going to continue to support and commit to the person I love and make the sacrifice we discussed earlier than I intended and have children or to back out. And being an extremely loyal person that left me with really only 1 option, and naturally entj's are not loving, affectionate, family people. But we are able to change or work on anything we think or know is important, and if that means spending less time at work to make the family happy and compromising in ways that are even stereotypically anti entj we are very capeable of destroying our greatest weaknesses and making those changes and sacrifices if we can truly see why it has to happen and how it would negatively and positively affect those around us and the future.

Yes, ENTJ and INTJ have the same functions in a different order which can make it overall more difficult to stay with one. With one, I asked him, "Well, how do you know that is truly me?!" and he fell silent and gave me a bear hug later.
    INTJs seem to know who they are early on. Recently this opened my eyes as to why they are likely to mature quickly. Since I am slower to know who I am, and also have psychological injuries, I am not as far in my life as an INTJ I speak with from time to time.

    My favorite person in the world (and an ENTJ) is probably Eteri Tutberidze. She is a figure skating coach that has raised (and choreographed programs) for the most successful figure skaters in the world, for almost the last decade. I have learned a lot from her about what it takes to succeed. She is a badass and an artist:
    @SWws (turn on subtitles)
    @
    -----
    Her skaters:
    Evgenia Medvedeva: @
    Alina Zagitova: @L-Q8
    Anna Shcherbakova: @
    Kamila Valieva: @
    -----
    One of her former skaters said this in an interview about her:
    "Interviewer: You said that at that time you sometimes did not have enough money.
    Viktor Adoniev: To be honest, yes.
    I come from a very poor family, and we often didn’t pay money to Eteri Georgievna. She didn’t even take, she knew our situation. And I wasn’t the only one. She even dressed me.
    Interviewer: Paid for costumes?
    Viktor Adoniev: No, Eteri Georgievna gave me clothes - very cool, branded. It seems that some of their relatives brought it from abroad. Maybe this was a second-hand, but I was happy to wear it. Then it was hard to get something.
    And then they tell me what a creepy coach she is, a despot. Yes, she is quite a hard person at work, but I think that is right. I myself have become the same. If children can’t do something, I force them, even shout. This is absolutely right if you want to achieve a result. If the coach always pats on the back, then what will happen to you?
    Eteri is completely different in life. This is a person you can always call. Even when I switched to ice dance, she was with me. Switched me from group to group, looked for partners, cared all the time. She was like an older sister to me."

    I am an ENTJ and I'm often seen as an ESTP and ESFP as I'm more engaged in play more than work. It's because for the past 3 years of COVID I couldn't go out that much and I always wanted to go out and be at the best moments. Although at times I could be very assertive when it comes to work and then when I'm too serious and indulge in work I tend to be more focused and I'm not able to 'relax' with the thought of completing the work I'm invested in and for other work that I don't think has any purpose for my goals I often ignore it. When I'm able to play I prefer being with the people I care about and tend to prefer being in a setting where I'm free from distractions and completely indulge fully in play without being told what to do. I really dislike being told what to do because people think I have no common sense, but really I honestly have more important things to do then do simple tasks. I'm often seen as lazy, but I'm really heardworking. It's just there are so many things that impacted on my behaviour and prompted me to act in such a way that I feel unmotivated. When I'm motivated I feel like I'm at my best.

    I am an ENTJ currently in an apprenticeship chartered accountancy training contract. The stereotype around accountants being overly cold and analytical with no personality has sometimes bothered me, since I have always been aware that I occupy an awkward area between being deeply creative and expressive but also drawn to efficiency, strategy and optimisation. My deep interest in business and finance, not only for its personal benefits relating to freedom, security and choice but also for the integral function played in modern society, has led me to where I am and I'm loving it. But I'm becoming conscious that I should not neglect the side of myself that I always had as a child, that side which is creative merely for the sake of it. For all my big-picture goals and dreams, my ambitions to achieve financial independence and career success for example, I'm now making efforts to reconnect with other elements of my personality such as writing and playing violin, things that I loved learning to master as I grew up. Further, your points towards the beginning of the video about mastering a skillset before using the success as a launchpad to find meaning, ikigai in a way, really resonated. My central goal has been for a while to achieve financial independence such that I might in future find myself in a position to not be reliant on my job or others in order to sustain myself and my family. This would mean that should I decide on a less conventional path, a less profitable area of interest (such as my writing, a small business or humanitarian work) that I would find far more fulfilling could be pursued with much less risk and without sacrificing the security provided by a stable income. I have sometimes wondered if this goal is overly practical or utilitarian -- I see people around me going to university simply because they want to study what they find exciting. While one of my main interests is indeed finance, I have sometimes wondered if I'm overcomplicating things or over-strategising in a way. It's made me wonder who I actually am and what I actually want deep down, as it seems I may be in a way outsourcing that to the future. But I think your explanation of the chess rivals made this make a lot of sense to me, so I must thank you for that. It really is about setting myself up for personal success after I've achieved everything that comes before. I'm just following Maslow's heirarchy of needs in order I suppose lmao.

    This definitely resonated with me. I’m an advertising strategist whose job it is to figure out creative solutions to business problems. This hybridity gets me noticed and I use my platform to further my values by helping disenfranchised people game the corporate system. I’m also what might be described as being more artistically inclined in that I paint, dance ballet, write, play music, etc. (which people don’t expect because I am also ruthlessly logical and competitive in the right circumstances). Frankly, as I’ve gotten older, the contrasts have heightened: I’m a nature-loving hippy that also craves novel, thrilling experiences 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Creativity is in very human. It's just a matter of perspective. The reason we see the Ne types as more creative is simply because of how frequently they are able to randomize things. In a physical environment, the Se creativity shows, Si linking creativity blooms. Creativity is an innate thing for every person.. something that even the 'stubborn' istj or hard headed entj has. Mbti has just a bias of 'ho ho, sensor dumb' 'Ne superior to brr' 'Ni unique go brr' like a bunch of kids. The memes have their place, but no need to form everything around them. Most of them are behavioral anyway rather than actually seeing the 'cognitive' side.

    I am an ENTJ-A and Ambivert. Thus, though i often totally agree with most of the ENTJ stereotypes, I am someone who works so that I can play more... I put in my best effort with the best time dedication necessary to produce the best work possible just so i can enjoy my play time peacefully. In fact, I graduated undergrad as valedictorian using this strategy. I prefer spending my time watching anime or discussing poetry or learning about space than school work. Thus, if for instance an assignment/ project is given and due in two weeks, i can dedicate the first 3-5 days working ardently on the project, completing it, then pack it up somewhere and move on to other more 'fun' things. I then reopen it a day or two before the deadline to ensure all is sparkling, then turn it in right on time. My life strategy is often to not just meet deadlines or major life targets, but to beat them so i have time to play... I do admit that this personal goal has for better or worse produced rather Machiavellian results as regards great grades at the expense of some fragile relationships with some partners in group projects... Perhaps that sets me a bit apart from the standard ENTJ type? I can't tell _ I love your videos btw.

      Same type here exactly. And yes, I apply my spurts of productivity to chew through projects to get done as fast as possible (without sacrificing quality), so I can get back to the fun stuff. I can do 8 hours of work in about 3 or less, so I can spend the other 5 hours on stuff I want to do (which could take the form of play that looks like work - as in trying to beat a game by painstakingly finding the most efficient way to beat it). Its as if my laziness is my motivation to get stuff done, and my personality the means to accomplish it. heh Others who observe my behavior either assume I'm lazy, or brilliant, or both.

    ENTJ working in mental healthcare here. If you see me with patients you see my sensitive/empathetic side come out often. However with both patients (if needed) and certainly with co-workers the direct, commanding and critical side comes out as well (Te). If I look around me in my team I am one of the if not THE most driven person in the room and I would like to get into quality improvement/healthcare innovation in the near future. I am always looking to improve both on personal and organisational level.
    The fact that I am the most driven, also most intense / intensely focused person in the team, does have drawbacks and I am curious if other ENTJs recognise this. Its like: if I really up the intensity......push the 'pedal to the metal'......I leave a lot of people behind who just cannot keep up. I am having to adjust my tempo (with pushing for change/innovation for example) almost always in order to keep team integrity. Like a sportscar amongst hatchbacks.......trundling along in 2nd gear.

    • @MsMrExe
      @MsMrExe Před 3 lety +6

      Hmmm. Not really. I think he's an ESTP with a developed Ni because he's definitely a high Ti user-his whole thing is “cracking CZcams’s algorithm,” figuring out how it works and then benefitting from it. Ti wonders “how does it work?” whereas Te asks “does it work?” and ESTPs’ main strength and focus is the former (they can do the latter too when they develop because it's their demonstrative function, but it's not their primary approach).
      What he is is an entrepreneur and showman first and planner and visionary second. I also don't see any inferior Fi (developed or not). He doesn't seem to have the insecure Fi which is overcompensating and nice and is cluelessly obsessed with their identity, or the developed Fi which is inspiringly sure of who they are and what they stand for. His Fi seems more PoLR IMO which kind of manifests as that insecure Fi (because his sympathetic Fe is relatively well developed) but it's mostly ignored and not questioned all that much. PoLR functions are not the obsession that inferior ones are and are seen more as pointless.

    • @MsMrExe
      @MsMrExe Před 3 lety +2

      @@talkshh Yes, he *is* emotionally awkward, but that could be attributed to PoLR Fi as well. I see tertiary Fe in his extreme charm (I don't see any charisma, which ENTJs have loads of) and how he values and seeks environments that are vibrantly emotional. He doesn't exactly add to it (I don't count his bubbly optimism as adding to the emotional environment) but absorbs that vibe and is pretty sympathetic. Not highly sympathetic and harmonising like high Fe users. He is more playful with it, the way tertiary Fe is.

    • @rethinktone
      @rethinktone Před 3 lety +1

      @@talkshh I totally see how he can be an entj. He is awkward but also clever. And especially how it lines up with what "Love who" is saying. He gives to the world with his success. However, I actually agree with Mary that he lives on the Ti/Fe axis. Mr. Beast made it big by giving money to random strangers. I think ENTJs usually try to focus on more practical and achievable goals BEFORE philanthropy. Someone on the Ti/Fe axis would try making their lifes work about giving to others. For example, most FJs (pretty much all) I know go into the healthcare field and the TJ go into finance.
      I also want to address the emotional awkwardness. I think emotional awkwardness can be in people that use Fe especially if it is an inferior or tertiary function. I find that ENTPs rarely know what they want out of life until they've matured into their late 20s early 30s. That can come across as awkward because if you ask an ENTP do you want kids? do you want to settle in the burbs? would you rather be single? It kinda makes them glitch out and that can be seen as awkward. I know a lot of Fe users who are uncomfortable with receiving validation and they get really awkward. Awkward can be in both the Fe/Ti axis and the Fi/Te axis but they manifest themselves differently.
