- In a recital on April 16, 2011 at the Sligo SDA Church, Patrick Alston, on the Rodger's organ was joined by his brother James, on the Steinway. Enjoy this majestic performance of the sacred classic, "The Holy City."
Two cameras would have been wonderful to capture both both at the same time.
Great acoustics and absolutely, "LOVE" this piece.
Awesome that two brothers were able to get together and play this!! Savor every minute like this.

I've always wanted to play piano and organ....when I was about 4 yrs old, everyone noticed my talent for playing....I'd sit in front of a piano and play my heart out as if I were giving a concert....I begged, pleaded, cried for a piano and lessons...sadly my mom was too self focused and I never got a piano or the lessons I longed for....when I got married my husband began working with Baldwin Piano and Organs....fixing the older church organs, ...so Larry got me a beautiful Baldwiin Organ, full pedals etc...but then I had serious car accident when a drunk T-boned direct hit, drivers side...I was driving brand new VW bug...impact broke my seat off and pushed me into the passenger side where I banged my head on window, blacked out...from then on, was hard to hold my hands out to practice for very long....I was taking pipe organ lessons, but wasn't really that serious about practicing...I wanted it NOW!...working full time, mom full time...but my kids have all had years of lessons...my son 12 yrs with lady June @ San Pasqual SDA academy...my sons very gifted, anyway...I sooo much appretiate your talents...will you give me a few lessons....about 200 yrs...I mean not now, but soon!....Jesus is coming VERY soon and I think this is the song that will be played as we gaze upon the Holy City!...thanks so much for sharing your God given Talents!...now...to find Pat Taylors song about the Holy City....3 gates to the east, gates to the north....oh that beautiful city....oh beautiful city....if you know which one I'm referring to, can you share the link with me....she sang that long LONG time ago when her and Calvin were married...back in 79 or so...Tks...God bless...and please...I'm serious...I'd like you to teach me how to play....when we're finally home!
Lovely well done.just like my brother ,he played every music but I didn't followed him now I'm taking up some lessons very seriously I wanted to be a pianist but lessons are very expensive. I'm not giving up.
