What I see is a guy with a chip on his shoulder. I think, for now, based on what I've seen so far, it's accurate to his official description:
"Before his death, Bi-Han was the original Sub-Zero, one of the most powerful and devout warriors of the Lin Kuei clan. While essentially neutral, he was a cold-blooded, vicious assassin whose soul had become corrupted from years of violence and remorseless killing."
Yeah, he wants his clan to dominate which is a nod to his DEVOTION. And the way he's acting, and talking with the others, it's another nod to him being VICIOUS killer who's got darkness in him. Yeah, the MKwiki titles him as NEUTRAL. Sub Zero is not evil in this game. At least for now.
He 's also pretty in a mask .
@@deviantic69 he and Scorpion always were neutral, until he became Noob Saibot. But NRS and movie made him just pure evil and Scorpion is a good guy for some reason - I hate it so much
He still was protecting the Earthrealm from Shinnok in Mythologies - he wasn't a villain. He was concerned about his soul's corruption until Quan Chi stripped him of all good he had

I was the sub at 14:30...I choked so hard while fighting Max. I couldn't believe it was him lol. Got nervous and dropped almost all of my stuff 🤦♂️ Definitely turned into a scrub-zero at some points, but it was awesome playing the man himself! (I swear I'm not usually that bad you guys 💀) GGs!

It usually doesn't work that way in other MK games.
So far the consensus is that MK1's design might be all about slow mobility but really long combos.
Which yes, it IS quite unique, not many fighting games has ever really done that, so this might be an attempt of NRS to make MK1 standout.
Its not amazing, but its unique nonetheless.

It's really interesting to see how Lord Liu Kang appears to have fiddled with the appearance and source/origins of Cryomancy techniques. Might make a very interesting story beat, given how little we know about Bi-Han's training.

I really wanna see Rain on the base roaster think his combos could be crazy in this game
I noticed the liu kangs that i was fighting were getting 40% damage combos easy as fuck for seemingly nothing. Meanwhile, i felt like i was doing this huge combos with Sub-Zero only getting to the mid 30s ... Liu felt a little OD BUT im happy all the characters so far aeem to have sauce.
I love that they made sub-zero a combo character. He need it so bad. I was bored to see him as a spaming-spacing character.

I have never played a mortal Kombat game like mk 9 etc. But from what I saw in and from CZcams videos. Especially in online I'd like the match to be a speed where I can see what's happening.
The reaction I will definitely get better at it if I were to play such a game.
For me that's what I'd prefer because I have never played a mk game so I won't be used to or know the " fast" or " crazy" speed that some of you, maybe used to.

Nice Sub-Zero matches, fun to watch for sure and UMK3 isn't busted it's pretty balanced actually especially when compared to MK 3.
I wish the more brutal animations actually meant something. Like cause a ridiculous amount of damage or caused a dizzy.
The reason they don't is for balancing. They're very easy to land, so the reward for them shouldn't be big.
I like sub zeros ice ball in this game.
They need to bring back hype music for Mortal Kombat games. I've not heard of one person that prefers a cinematic ost during gameplay. MK9 really was the last game with a dope soundtrack.
Honestly I'll be pretty bummed out if Rain isn't in the game but Sub-Zero is looking like quite the alternative ngl.

Bruh, I'll say Subzero has the best combos in the game, and he pair so well with the other Kameos. His F12 combo gives you free footsie and his B2 launcher can be used twice, only that its very punishable
as someone who doesnt really play fighting games (waiting for project L) I have realised that i much prefer to watch MK over other games. and I think the reason is just that MK has a slightly larger focus on "actual" Martial arts.
Ik that the mk series is a slower than other fighting games but the chaos factor reminds me of marvel vs Capcom.

So, does every character/cameo combination have a unique fatal blow or is it just the fatal animation from the cameo into the fatal animation from the character?
From what I've seen, the latter. Sonya always does knee > knee > chest stomp > rings to the face, for example

What's very cool is that you could actually hit the kameo characters before they hit you. I think the game is fast enough in my opinion. What i really don't like is when you block a hit, it takes a little time for you to counter that block hit. But all in all it still works 🎮🎮

i have mix feelings whit this game, because I just bought MK11 last year, the ultimate edition and I had a lot of Fun, MK11 is not that old and having alredy a new MK this year feels strange, like "oh yeah thats a thing" I think this game is going to be great but I dont feel THAT hype
As somewhat of an injustice player myself, I’m liking the look of this game. Even though I’m dissapointed it’s not injustice 3. For the first time I’m genuinely interested in mk. Hasn’t happened since mk9. It looks flashier than that snooze fest of a game mk11 was imo. I’m glad they nerfed the down 1 pokes. Let’s just hope for it’s first year we’ll get some variety and the meta won’t be dominated by 1 or 2 characters. I also hope more content is on the physical disc. For preservation, but also just out of principle. I feel like WB games are the biggest greedy game publishers that have not been called out often enough for it. Interesting to see the future reveals.
