I got to drive in a basic white out 😂 sunny, summer day. And it started raining so hard i asked the instructor if i can pull off. She looked at me and thanked me. Apparently kids in this generation have to be told when the road is no longer safe, and how far you wanna get the car off the road The answer is less then 40 ft visibility and you wanna be 12ft from a road, big trucks exist and they are thinking about pulling over aswell, and they cant see you
I failed today, within the first 10 minutes, 2 serious faults getting to close to parked cars on the left. I was a bag of nerves. I have done numerous lessons and mocks without a single minor. The instructor when I asked him to repeat his direction snapped "can't you understand what I'm saying?" it threw me off, I already told him I was feeling nervous. It's my own fault. I watched this video last night and felt calm. Sometimes it just doesn't go your way. 2nd test booked and lessons for next week booked. To anyone reading this, relax, you will be your own worst enemy, you know you can drive, trust yourself, drive safe. God bless.

Passed on the 8th of December, first time. If you have the chance to, I highly recommend you snack on a food that is high in magnesium. This will help combat nerves and tiredness!

I passed back in January 2022 with only having 5 lessons due to Covid, one massive thing I can say is you don't really learn to drive until you're driving on your own after you've passed. Instructors and examiners are just there to make sure you understand the basics before you actually go out on your own and learn to drive properly. Great information for first timers in this video though. Big thumbs up and good luck to everyone who has tests coming up. Stay calm, if the instructor is a chatty person and wants to talk as well as examine just ask them politely if you could just concentrate on driving and they'll kindly oblige. I on the other hand asked for the radio to be allowed on low volume so I could sing along in my head to keep me calm and composed.
I really like how youve put a video of you just driving around whilst the audio is of you explaining the tips. Sometimes with other videos I get bored if i’m just watching the person talk.
2:27 I have a good tip on how to counter it. Don't think of this as a test when you're in the seat. Pretend you're a taxi driver and they are your passenger giving you directions home. Take away the fact that they are marking you and realise for the most part, they're just a passenger really. You've sat your lessons, you know what you're doing. treat them no differently to the instructor you learnt with because at the end of the day, if you're doing everything right for you instructor to not say anything while you're on your lessons, the tester will be no different.

Just did my driving test this morning passed first try with only 1 minor. Tip for all u others just keep calm and drive as u do usually forget the test guy is there and look out for signs
Thank you for excellent tips. I only started learning to drive in my late 50 s and was super nervous but passed with 5 minors this week after waiting ages for a test because of lockdowns. What I found really useful on the test was glancing at the sat nav arrow as that helped you plan well in advance and get into the correct lane. Also try to get lessons at the same time as your test as you get to know the traffic flow in the areas near the test centre.

It was a very silly under pressure mistake where I forgot to put the car in gear after having just done an emergency stop and although there was only one car behind me and I was on a very quite road I got failed for blocking the traffic/breaking unnecessarily. But you know what they say you live and you learn. I'm confident in my driving overall so I'm sure I'll pass within the next couple attempts 🙏🙏
I used a cancellation app on my phone, my test wasn't meant to be till July 2022 and it got brought forward to January 2022, I passed and have been driving 4 month now. Best £17 I ever spent. They look for bookings and book them for you so you don't miss any available slots. And you have unlimited use of the app till you pass.

6 point cheek is not required when pulling off. only when you're stopped in the middle of road (emergency stop). pulling off its enough if you check 2 mirrors and roadside blindspot
I failed my test because of my examiner as they kept telling me to take the exit on the round about but I felt uncomfortable, checked mirror nothing and as soon as my car moved left a van undercut me, then did me for speeding on a road that's 60 but had temp 40 signs but no road works are being carried out. He was also extremely rude from the moment I met him. He made me feel so intimidated and uncomfortable.
Baring in mind he snapped when I asked to borrow his pen and told my driver/friend 'no you're not needed anymore, go stand over there' in such a horrid tone. I wanted them to sit in the car as I felt more comfortable. But obvs wasn't allowed
Most examiners are picky ,they are given a roster how many to pass & fail.Most make wrong decisions .They are so low level that as soon as you start the test start writing the shit all the way to completing the test & in the end in the most grumpy way tell you that they have failed you.Imagine if 10 learners at the same test centre same day have excellent driving skills go for the test but unfortunately many will be failed ,that's in particular in London where strict roster is handed down to these butchers .

The examiners should be accountible to their actions as most learners don't feel the system is fair specially in London ethnic minorities are targeted for statistics.More ethnic minorities examiners need to be recruited along with every test being recorded .This will lead to many cases going against examiners to the courts on unfair failings.

I think just follow the speed sign regardless of whether you think it’s justified….

I have my test in 2days, nervous as I never get to practice on any test route. Because of full booking in every test centre I had to book in a new place where I never ever been😰

The examiners should be accountible to their actions as most learners don't feel the system is fair specially in London ethnic minorities are targeted for statistics.More ethnic minorities examiners need to be recruited along with every test being recorded .This will lead to many cases going against examiners to the courts on unfair failings.

I have to make my appointment to get my drivers license since my permit is about to expire within the next 5 months but I just so nervous as I haven’t been practicing at all. And I’m a very nervous person when it comes to test like this!!!!

I have my test coming up soon guys, I have failed a couple times before. My situation is a hard one at the moment I have not been able to find any instructor. I just need to refresh myself behind the wheels and on the different driving routes.

I have my second test tomorrow, the first time I failed with a serious fault, my own fault as I didn't know the street, he told me to keep going and there was a little street with a sign 'no traffic' and stupidly I went ahead 😔 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow as I'm a very nervous driver.

I go in for my test tomorrow (12/9)!!! Everyone wish me luck I’m so nervous but I’m so excited too!!!! I do really good driving but the area I live in is very notorious for awful drivers and I’m nervous about them :(
