    Off topic, but this guy is really good at speaking with Rip. Many guests try to talk over him and fail, or doggedly try to make a point through his interruptions. Speaking with Rip looks like playing jazz.

    America cocked this one up big time unfortunately and I feel for you guys! Especially for the SS gym owners. Restaurants / cafes / sushi etc... All switched to takeaway here. Large Gyms are doing it tough though here, reopening to only 10 people this coming week which is essentially pointless.
    Gov provided job keeper and job seeker payments pretty early on. I've got a pro gym at home, best lifts I've hit ever just happen to be during the pandemic. I've worked from home for the last decade, nothing really changed for me. Best you come to Australia, we have the best standard of living on the planet. 🇦🇺

      Topical to the Starting Privacy video but Data privacy laws are far worse for citizens in Australia than the US and arguably worse than in the UK. Then there's the bullying from China. Trade offs is what I'm getting at but I'm the first to argue that a lot of circumstances of American life are far from enviable.

    *LAW*
    The term 'law' in general refers to the set of regulations or rules to be followed. Law can be in the form of an act, ordinance, order, by-laws, rule, regulation etc. An act is a subset of law.
    Anything which has the power to confer legal rights, obligations, liabilities, etc are laws. Law can be any Provisions of all valid Acts passed by the legislature, Acts and codes from pre-independence India, Ordinances passed by a Governor of a State or the President of India, Decisions of the High Courts or Supreme Court , Authorised orders, notices, rules, etc made by government bodies.
    *ORDINANCES*
    Ordinances are temporary laws that are circulated by the President of India on the recommendation of the Union
    Cabinet. They can only be delivered when the Parliament is not in session. They enable the Indian government to take immediate legislative action.
    At times, when the legislature of the Union is not in session and there is a need to make a legislation (Act) in emergency. In such cases, the government refers a proposal to the President or Governor, and if they approve of them, it becomes an Ordinance. Legally, an ordinance is the equal to Act. It can be seen as a temporary law till its expiry or till it is repealed or it is approved by the legislature.

    Rip, the reason it's different this time is, we have baby boomer politicians trying to protect other baby boomers from a disease that is specifically dangerous to baby boomers. This situation is the compounded by the presence of weak, dependent, and useless younger generations that are of the progressive persuasion.

    • @johnholden9269
      @johnholden9269 Před 4 lety +1

      "weak" as in a bunch of candy ass young people who are terrified of getting sick, even though they are at the lowest risk of death. Baby boomers, and their hyper selfish voting habits, are a large part of the problem in this country, and now the politicians are causing the worst economic disaster to date just to pander to boomers and grab power. To answer your second question, no its not, a large portion of these people have no intrinsic value to society, only sentimental since they produce nothing and only consume.

    Shutting down the businesses was wrong. Personally, I think mask laws with merchant and food prep businesses allowed to at least operate “drop off” style would have worked. Hair salons can work with everyone staying in their car until called upon and wearing masks for the session. Gyms and movie theaters could operate at limited capacities. Personally, I blame the WHO and CDC for initially discounting the value of cloth masks as a tool to stop community spread.

    25 year olds do in fact get this, no one is immune as we've seen proven thousands of times... Well Australians of all ages get it, maybe Americans are unique?
    Dan Mace got it and put up a pretty decent video about his experience (Casey Neistats mate). And masks are a nice protective measure from yourself passing it on or spreading anything else you have, it's not a message or power move, it's just a tool of the trade. Big valsalva breath boys, breath.
