Buddy was the name of my first nitendo dog 😭 now he's cool as hell lmao
Oh, that sudden shift generally scared me so bad. The designs for the dogs is also one of, if not the most, creative ones I've ever seen! You really captured how two young apprentices suddenly were faced with this huge, terrifying threat and could no nothing but run. Picture that for a second, horrifying when you think about it.

I love this because as much as I'd like to think Swiftpaw had an anime fight-scene level final stand to protect his sister, I know that he wouldn't have been able to do anything. Swiftpaw and Brightpaw were faced with a threat they never could have hoped to brave, and this really showed the horror and hopelessness of the situation.
The abrupt shift in audio and visuals is TERRIFYING-THIS LOOKS SO COOL

This was extremely cool!!! Just noticed the dogs in the back at 0:21, completely missed it the first time, such a good detail! The blood effects are so well done aaaa and I love the use of shadow to obscure everything and create a sense of instability too

It gives me the impression that bright paw remembers the ordeal as a really bad nightmare, since everything seems to shift as the dogs appear. it must have been a traumatising experience for bright paw- I think it’s because of the background and the design for the dogs ( with I absolutely love) it makes it all seems like something from a dream.
I like how the dogs are presented as one. Gives it so much more of an "impossible to beat them" vibe, thus making Swift and Bright decide to run instead of fighting.
The * cute and happy * to * scary, violent, dark and bloody * was just awesome
The glitching at the start with the “Pack Pack Kill Kill” was such a nice add! This whole thing is amazing and really well done

GINGER I LOVE THIS this is so so well executed! It feels ominous right from the start with Brightpaw not being quite as into it and then she sees right when it's about to come. That is so spooky and cool... And as someone who is squeamish i found the level of gore very tasteful and the way it is drawn is not disgusting (not that that would be bad either, i just like how you did it here) where it lets you focus on the creepiness! that dog with the people eyes is so fricken creepy haha XD Just love all the choices here dude. You are so smart

The way it changed from two friends running in the woods to two cats fighting to save there lives so quickly was amazing!
Before this video I only had to imagine what they felt when the got attacked, but you've captured what they felt and most likely saw (in fear and confusion) perfectly!
I saw this in recommendations and thought "This is likely going to disturb me slightly but I'm going to love it anyway."

The sheer terror they must have felt when faced with the dogs is portrayed really well, the emotions they were feeling before the dog encounter was also portrayed well in their expressions instead of them turning out flat or uninteresting like I've unfortunately seen quite often. The designs themselves are chefs kiss, thank you for making this pmv!

I'm very jumpy, so I really appreciate the fact that the kind-of-jumpscare at the end isn't accompanied by noise! It made it feel creepy without just being a cheap startle, this is an excellent Halloween special
i love how you kinda put it through their POV, most people just show the dog, blood, and then swiftpaw dead. but just as @Abyss The Dragon stated, you showed how horrifying it was for them and not just how it was for i guess “spectators”
I’m going to say it, You made a masterpiece, the way you show it through what it must of looked like through Bright’heart and Swift’paw’s eyes is equally disturbing and Beautiful. This is by far the coolest and oddly beautiful pmv that I have ever seen.

Especially the ending literally gave me shivers, definitely makes visualization of what happened to these two more nightmarish and terrifying (if not way more scarier than what we got from books)
also I am huge fan of hiding dogs in a background like in thumbnail or around 0:21 when swiftpaw moves!

It started all happy and cheerful, but then the slowed music kicked in and the screen tinted red. Those dogs were real spooky-their completely black figure and penetrating, distorted faces really got me. Interesting take on the scene-it was a sad story for Swiftpaw and Brightheart, and I was sad foe them when I read it. Anyways, stunning animation as usual, and keep up the incredible work!
Am I the only one who noticed that dogs resemble Cerberus from Greek mythology? It's very beautiful! Good luck :)
Honestly as soon as the intro is done, the music suddenly sounds slightly threatening, you can tell something's off. Very well done
Things I noticed while watching.
0:21 you can see Buddy in the background and Brightpaw looksuneasy
0:24 something black killed that butterfly. Since Buddy was in the background and they're the only all black thing here it has to be them.
0:48 when Brightpaw's eye is ripped out the blood splatter covers her face as if to show she's blind to everything besides that. It also looks more realistic style wise and the blood splatter looks like when people scribble out a character's eyes.
1:01 It looks like the cats are being absorbed into Buddy. Also body horror is spot on here making Buddy spider-like although hard to see because it's distorted was awesome! As someone who loves body horror and has severe arachnophobia I have only seen body horror like that in Coraline.
1:02 Safe to say that's Brightpaw. Swiftest has spots and wounds on the opposite sides of his face. The fact that the image is distorted and she looked like she died threw me off for a second.
Now I'm not a fan of cheap jump scares but at the end where Buddy lunges at the camera actually felt scary rather than not knowing what to do. We can all say you nailed it and I'd love to see more WC horror from you in the future.
This could be a nightmare where Bright is reliving this event which would make the final attack something her mind conjured and she wakes up right after

wow! the sudden change to a red forest and the creepy designs honestly amazed me, I would say your style is cute, but the videos ehh, some times not as much. you really were able to make something people could watch over, and over. just the amazing animation then the sudden strike of these horrifying creatures must be so hard to capture! and all the little details like the pack in the back ground, and the slight flash of the famous line from our best friend buddy " pack pack kill kill " just awwws me. amazing work! I would never think to add those! you did a Wonderfull job and you definitely deserve all the love giinger!
This was extremely well done! It actually provoked a fear inducer in the body because of how odd and horror everything is

0:26 brightpaw looks like she’s slowly remembering this, like she’s having deja vu, you can see the confusion slowly turning to worry then horror or realization

It's just a gorgeous and sudden change from EVERYTHING fun, to a gruesome and scary horror. The music is calm and cheerful, and then an unexpected completely changing the atmosphere and tone of cuteness and calmness into a dramatic and tragic ending. A very strong approach resulted in the clamping of the picture itself. Grafon also played an important role. Another Halloween horror movie.
I’ve always been a fan of how you designs cats but damn! The way you designed how the shift from cute to terror is just amazing. Also buddy should get a treat, what’s good boy.

I love how it's all pretty and stuff and then suddenly swiftpaw dies and bright paw loses her eye because of the dogs. I also like the way you made the dogs (or dog idk) three-headed!
Brightheart is one of the luckiest cats in the books, y'all know that a dog shakes the cat to death, if it was in real life and she had survived all her bones would be broken and basically her SKULL would be broken because a dog shakes her head, this happened near my house four dogs attacked two cats one cat survived but had to be euthanized as the cat was suffering a lot from its injuries

Can I just say how cool 0:43 is? Like the tweening is perfect and the teeth look so good and that’s such a hard angle to draw. Ofc the whole thing is incredible I just felt like pointing this out :3

I like how at 0:31 the sides of the screen go black and it only focuses in on Swiftpaw and Brightpaw, like we're seeing from the dogs POV.
I LOVE THE WAY YOU USED GRAVITRON FOR THE PMV!! Gravitron has sounds upbeat and cheerful in a way, but it has this underlying feeling of something darker is behind the scenes and something awful is going to happen.
And it works PERFECTLY with the video. I also love how the PMV gives me a slight analog horror vibe.
I just love the designs for Swiftpaw and Brightpaw, they look so cute! Not to mention how utterly terrifying the dogs looked, definitely the most scary and creative designs I've ever seen for them. It really does display what went on in the tiny cats' eyes, the change of theme in those few seconds scared me!

This part of the books had so much potential and still does. Just imagining the scene, you can practically hear the screams of the two apprentices and see dogs shedding blood on Swiftpaw, it’s terrifying. But this, THIS PMV captures these emotions and details PERFECTLY, amazing job, I love this so much!
And those dogs? STRAIGHT out of uncanny valley, the designs are so well made and beautifully displayed!

been super emotional today and rewatching this made me cry ;-; poor babies
oh MY GOD!!!! THIS IS AMAZING!! First of all, I love the use of the colors! it makes everything feel all soft until its not!! second, i love the foreshadowing in the beginning, and how the dogs just seem normal and kind of just part of the environment, until they're not! Lastly, my favorite detail is how instead of showing the dogs mauling the two and leaving them to die, they actually start crunching on swiftpaw and then brightpaw, i mean i seriously doubt that these dogs which have been trained to eat cats would just leave these free meals just lying around. Overall, an amazing pmv!!

I like to imagine this is what the dogs looked like to the cats. It's likely most clan cats were unfamiliar to what dogs looked like - to Brightpaw and Swiftpaw, this was a creature they had never seen before, and it looked and attacked like the worst monster they'd ever seen.
I like how you made the dogs kind of this terrifying weird core kind of thing in their bodies just shoved together very terrifying
I recommend watching the whole video at 0.25x the speed and see how far you can go until you get scared.
