This is just what I needed to prepare for my trip to Czechia at the end of this year. Thank you Valerie.😊
Unfortunately, two months after we released this video, we discovered that one of the street food shops, "Dej si," which we mentioned, has closed down. It appears that finding fried cheese in a bun is becoming an increasingly difficult task each day. However, you can still enjoy this delicious treat at "Proste vokno," another place we featured in the video.
That's exactly what I wanted to text you: both places don't seem to exist anymore :-( And that's the street food I urgently wanted to try!
Another great option for a Fried Cheese in a Bun is at Masna Kozi. There’s is fantastic!

Really appreciate the dedication to avoid all trdelniks and burgers 😎
Avoiding the trdelnik is not that hard for average czech :D That scam's for tourists only, nothing czech about it :D
@@jjacha it looks really nice but im avoiding it when i go in a few weeks out of principle having watched homest guide 😂
@@Tj-ve4gudid you go did you like it ?
Exactly one of the things I wanted to find out in Prague! I also hope you can soon show us a list of interesting pubs or bars, especially ones that have been around for a very long time, whether famous or not.
You guys make really cool and very informative work, I hope you never run out of topics about your beautiful city. Thank you.
PS. Hope to meet Valery soon. 🙂
You’re videos on Prague we’re so useful on our visit.
Really made short stay a lot more enjoyable. Thank you.
Great video and delicious looking food!!
And love what you did with your hair.
I am an Erasmus student in Prague and I’m obsessed with your channel!! I’ve learned about a lot of hidden spots and some histories and cultures as well that only vaguely knew. Jste nejlepší
Valery, you are a tease! All that GREAT food but can't eat it! My mouth is watering now. MUST go to Prague!!!🌹🙏👌
The fried cheese in a bun sounded soooo good when you bit into it. My doctor of all people recommended the hot dog in a bun with catchup to me before our trip to Prague. By the time I found them at a stand on Wenceslaus Square we had no time or was too full to indulge and enjoy. What a world, what a world!! Gotta get back to have a giant wiener in a hollowed out bun and splatted with catchup on the streets of Prague. Always nice to have obtainable goals and achievements. Thanks Valarey for this fun video, your the best of the CZcamsrs!
This is the first time in my life I watch a bunch of videos before I go visit a place. I usually like to get surprised and walk about 30-40km per capital. In "Zlatna Praga / Zlata Praha" as it is known in Bulgaria, I can't wait to get an original Bernard, which is my favourite beer, however your videos are so daily-life-realistic, I'm going to just watch them all and actually make a plan this time :D Thank you for your content! I'll share with friends.
The lawnmower part at 5:15 had me dead haha. Amazing video, thanks for your work
Thanks for a great video, again. We must try Czech street food the next time we travel to Prague, which will be in May.
Traveling there soon for work ... the video was helpful thank you!
Great video, as always.
Looks like Prague is a beautiful city.
Here in Asia, the street food you showed us are considered luxuries, only the rich can afford them.
Your street food looks great.
They made me feel very hungry.
Thanks for your video.
I'll definitely try some of these next week 😁
I love them all ❤😂
6:40 Is why I love this channel. You need to eat this before you go drinking all night, and "no alcohol will harm you" hahahhahahaha you have such a great sense of humor!!! Im from the USA, and I watch Prague guides videos!!!
Ohh yeahhh 😋🎉
Thank you very much ♡
😂😂 brilliant guy’s as normal👍. We always eat in as it was so reasonable.
Love your hair!
YUMM!!!! RPG bring you lunch today!!! It is disappointing that street food is becoming generic around the world. It’s almost like you need a Real Guide to find the good stuff
We are staying 5 days in Prague and I have over 20 places to eat now... Your videos are so good and creates the biggest FOMO I had in years hahaha
The one you seem to have left out is, what used to be at any rate, the ubiquitous street snack. A hotdog server with a slice of rye bread and a dollop of mustard. In the late 90s when I visited Czech it was everywhere, even in the middle of nowhere by the side of a river (we were canoeing). In the mid 2000s it was still available on Wenceslas Square and on many street corners. It's still a favourite snack of my wife and I (if we can get decent hotdogs that is).
Hopefully I'll get chance to visit one of these store when I visit Prague in May. And ofcourse meet the cool people who made this video....
Chlebíček šunkový is my favorit❤ it’s works all times. Love from Švédsko Ulf Brodin.
Just arrived back from Prague. Great food(except the Asian one thanks, but never again), not high prices, even in the centre of the city. And most of the time we were there, almost no other parts of Praha. The Pivo, the black one, was also great, cost me 95 krons for 400 ml. Nice one. Hope to visit your city again in the future. The people are looking somehow sad, I would say, but I've been told the locals are pretty introverts, so maybe that's the reason. Amazing place to visit, great channel.:)
All
Your videos I’ve been watching I’ll book a tour from
Yoir site in august hope I get u as my guide
Prague has amazing Vietnamese restaurants all over the city. The best I found was called "C&P Restaurace" in Palmovka.
Sourdough bread,Smazenka🍺. Interesting street food in prague🤭.
Like some additional data of the Langos, my parents how are from Rumania told me in the 80s that are also very popular there, not to by but yes to made it at home usually with cheese or some jam
Fantastic video! I recently commented on some Prague videos of travel bloggers who are showing how they eat trdelník, pizza's, McD or KFC non-Czech food. If you travel foreign places, especially to make a travel video, always try the local food, including the street food. My favorite is still párek v rohlíky, real youth sentiment, but hard to find in the Center. I mostly get it at the end of Pasáž Světozor. But chlebíček is also always good. Feel quite hungry after this video.
I used to get Nürnberger Rostbratwurst with caramelized onion and mustard in a bun at Wenceslav square :D I am sad if its no longer available :X
I really like how you pronounce chlebicek its cute, and i want to eat chlebicek!!!
Dear Valery! At 7:14, I'm Hungarian. 'Lángos' is the original name, formed from the word 'láng' = flame. 'Lángos' is a bread pasta. You need a stove to make it. It's the best fast food!
czcams.com/video/3ONIZhUSMc4/video.html
Very nice foods to eat. Does the runway have purple highlights also ?
The word lángos comes from the Hungarian word láng, after the original method of preparation, which was to toast the pancakes close to the flames. The main raw material used to prepare lángos was bread dough. Which is also popular in other countries that were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, even Prater in Vienna). And another typical fodd in Prague is Moriavský kolač (Moravia cake)- Traditional Czech cakes - poppy and jam
I amaze my guests with Chlebicky at parties!
It's honestly fascinating for me, how did we actually lose our street food. I'm a child of the 90s and I remember as a child, almost every street had some sort of stand where you could buy a hot dog, langos, grilled sausage, etc, and for a very good price. Nowadays you only have McDonald's and kebabs (with the very few exceptions which you showed). Whenever I travel, I realise this more and more, because other countries still have the actual street food. What happened to ours?
Cílená likvidace.
How's Prague during October? I'm travelling there with a friend this year. Edit: Oh, nevermind :) I just discovered your video about dressing for atumn in prague! :))
pochoutkovy means tastful... you super real prague human
Hey coming in a few months. What are some local chicken and vegetarian dishes?
Líbí se mi, že jste hovořili o historii párku v rohlíku v Čechách. Jsem z Budějc, tak to samozřejmě znám jako Pikador.
Dej si seems to be permanently closed according to Google. Has it moved, or is there an alternative as the fried cheese in a bun looks great. BTW, thanks for the great video content. I'm bing watching and all the videos are amazing!
You can try fried cheese in a bun also in Proste vokno, which is the last place we show in the video.
What is good time to come to prague and visit like sunny i don't like winter snows.
Thank you for taking the risk of showing us how to eat a hotdog on a bun. You are very brave!
Mmmm...fried cheese!!!
Good thing I’m eating right now, otherwise I would slip on my saliva
Chlebicheks! That's the real Praga šunka :)
Please come and visit the Philippines
The chlebičeks look expensive cause of the size and if you want to really eat you will have to buy a lot.
The kind of burger either.
The hot dog size is perfect for this price. They should add fillings it’s very tasty. When I was young I hated all the classic fillings excepted for one sauce but now it’s different.
In Sweden that kind of hotdog is called french hotdog
Budweiser Budvar, Motor České Budějovice ice-hockey club a and Pikador is the definition of Budweis😊
so where is bramborak very nice
Beautiful girl in a beautiful city with beautiful food. I want to eat!!
Hi Valerie for a little girl you can eat you celebrating 4/20 today LOL do you have the munchies
Once I wanted "párek v rohlíku" and they gave me that american "hot dog" thing in that disgusting american-like bread and ofcourse, I got dirty from ketchup because of it's opened with that cut, not like our style with hole inside. Párek v rohlíku is totaly superior compared to hot-dog. 😀 BTW, Langoš literally reminds me 90s and the most disgusting and cheapest places. 😀
Is it still cold in April there?
Yep. Today we had gloves in the morning 🧤
This is one of the longest winters I remember (the worst was in 2006), it's still freezing in night in some regions here. In some other years, I was already turning A/C on in april. I have no problem with temperatures like 15°C, you can wear t-shirt combined with jacket (without sweater or hoodie under it) which is comfortable and looks cool, but the hell, this is too long winter and you still need proper combination of t-shirt, hoodie and jacket when you go to some whole day trip, which is ridiculous in half of april.
Not only April but even in May the mornings are cold, like 4 °C.
You remind me of someone when you talk but I really can’t put my finger on it so I keep watching hoping I can figure it out but I still can’t
Seems that the Dej Si! has been permanently closed, at least according to Google Maps.
Thanks for all your hard work on these videos, Valery! You make it seem so fun and easy going. As a U.S. Marine I've traveled all over the world, but Czechia remains one of my all time favorites!
I can't find the cheese in a bun sandwich anywhere in google 😅 could someone help me please?
Unfortunately the place we showed in this video shut down 😭. Few months ago we saw the stand next to Petrin tower selling it, hopefully you will get lucky there…
@RealPragueGuides thank you very much for the quick reply! I think I found something similar in McDonald's in Prague!(I was checking their menu and found it by accident 😅 )
Hello madam,
Can i travel in September?
apologies for answering, but I used to live in Prague for 5 years and I can say September is probably one of the best months to visit, as it's outside of peak season and the weather should still be very nice
Ofcourse, why not? But you can't know what will be weather, it can be nice late summer, but it can be even 13°C and rain. You have to expect that even when it's nice late summer with 20+°C temperatures during the day, mornings and nights are already pretty cold in september.
I don´t agree that chlebíček is a street food in right meaning (as kebab and etc. is..). Chlebíček is commonly used meal, mostly served during celebrations and bigger events. But I am ok with smaženka I have never seen it on any party or celebration :D
Pl same video in vegetarian dishes
I´ve never seen Langos in Prague
Now I can get behind drinking a great beer while soaking in a hot bath.
Czech food seems to be similar to most food found in what was Austria-Hungary. Not as Slavic as I expected it.
Hema hot dog for the win
Blessed be the good people of Kurdistan who came here with their kebabs to save us from this “traditional” diet 😀
🤲🤲🤲🤲🍊🍋🍊🍋🍊🍋
Langoustine cheese :D to snad ne
I much prefer Polish street food.
There is no cheap food in Prague, ice cream is for 6euros, expensive then Milano
Hello afrika tanzani
You are so beautiful
Pockaj ked cesi zistia ze chlebicky robia ludia po celom svete
1 The Gospel of the Kingdom of Heavens always comes from Heaven through an angel while there is another gospel that comes from the abyss through pastoral school for God fills the heart while the devil fills the head. Remember how on April 24, 1993, the sound of his voice came into me and I fell dead. You see? It’s the devil that has instituted pastoral school. For, if I send someone to call my wife who is on a journey to the village, this messenger doesn’t have to receive any instruction from anyone. I am the only one who should tell him what to say to my wife and I know that she will believe him. [Ed: The congregation says, “Amen!”]. [Kc.2v3]
2 Let Satan and his children have pastoral schools, Bible institutes and the Internet, me and my house will stay with the prophetic revelation. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. And after pastoral school, seminaries and theological degrees, when those hypocrites, sons of the devil stand in the pulpit, they say: "O God may I decrease and you speak through me." You see? It's a confusion! If you know that you can decrease for God to speak through you, so what did you go and look for in pastoral schools?
Trying czech food without brer need to be stopped by law
How are you so skinny?!
This Chlebicek isnt typical czech food, its total exot.
Je to úplně nejvíc typické...kámo za komunistů to bylo nejlepší párty jídlo ever
