Personally i always like to use the Black Tailored Suit when Vito gets made because for me the Black symbolises the shadowy world that he is entering and the fact that he is essentially selling his soul by joining the Mafia, you can tell by the look on Vito's face as Carlo says "If i ask you to kill your own brother you must do it" that he knows there is no going back

Yeah that was great foreshadowing to Vito going along with Henry and Joe to do an unsanctioned drug deal with the Chinese Organization behind Carlo Falcone's back, the most likely reason why Frank Vinci said this though is because He already knew that Falcone was involved in the drugs trade and didn't want to see Vito and Joe get caught up in that side of the business as it was too risky
Vinci warns him not to do, but in the end Vito and Joe took orders from Eddy.
Narcotics are what Eddy messing with. (i've finished this game long time ago, can't remember the exact idea of third quarter of the game where Vito is freed. beyond that he and Joe went into narcotics dealings,
and this is when he and Joe eventually attacked Chinatown and beat the odds out of Triad axemen, ultimately had to take a job that eventually sealed the fate of Tommy Angelo.)
@@texasgent4694 Eddy is Vito and Joe's de facto superior, if Eddy told them to run narcs, they do, against Vinci's advice.
Eddy and Joe are the two people who welcomes Vito back to freedom, if I remember correctly, there's a scene where Eddy told Vito not to change station when Return To Me is being played, and even entice Vito to sing, too bad it turned out that Vito can, and even does Italian verses sing along as well.
@@DiscothecaImperialis Well yeah if Eddie had told/ordered Vito and Joe to sell drugs on He and Falcone's behalf that's one thing, but Vito and Joe went along with Henry's plan to sell Heroin without Eddie/Carlo's consent, which is what ultimately got them in trouble with The Commission and brought heat/The Feds down on the Falcone/Vinci Families as well
@@texasgent4694 I don't know why Vito and Joe takes order from Henry Tomasino, even with the first order is that Vito is to kill his benefactor (which he doublecrossed him, warn Leo of impending danger and falsify Leo's death so to fool Henry,)
Henry himself came from Clemente's Family which recently had been destroyed (by Vito and Joe, on Eddy's orders), and remnants are leaderless, Henry wanted a new master so to join Falcone.
At this point neither of which knows that Henry is actually a rat, but Leo knows all along,
did Henry actually wants revenge so he tricked the two new boys to do narc tradings? something neither Vinci nor Falcone approved, so to bring public attention to the Falcone (and with it, FBI)
in the end Henry didn't survive, Triads jinxed him (they have spies inside FBI, if FBI did infiltrate mobsters so the vice versa), and this left the duo a big debt,
this led to a job that to do Mafia 1 ending.
Tommy Angelo did that job for Saleri and was a made man by the end of the second chapter. Vito doesn’t get made until at least half way through the game. You had to rise up the ranks, earn that role. It’s what made this game truly special
actually, in the second chapter, he got into the family as an enforcer, he really got made after the race mission, which was in 1932, after being 2 years with Salieri.
And in the DE he became a Capo in 1935 (which I tought it was pretty cool)
@@calangoraivoso9921 I thought it was great that it was a change of scenery. That’s how you do a remake. Imagine when they do another remake of 2 and Vito become a Capo. But I always thought that Tommy was a Made Man after ch2.
@@gamevidz8763 yeah, love of the changes they did in the DE, specially regarding the Salieri family, it actually felt it like we was a big cheese in the family now.
And regarding Mafia 2, it would be cool but all that Henry stuff happens before he can climb the steps in the family ranks.

its kinda ironic, that Vito kinda phase out the noise when Frank started talking about the dope. And thats what got Vito and Joe fucked in the first place.
This game had so much subtle foreshadowing. In the very beginning when Vito is looking at old photos, it shows he’s actually in Marty’s apartment. It takes place right before the final mission but is what the game opens with.

I suppose we would have to wait for another Mafia game to see if Vito's death at the hands of Lincoln Clay is Canon or not, but it doesn't look like we will find out anytime soon if at all, fingers crossed Vito's death is Non Canon though, i definitely enjoyed his journey with Joe in Mafia 2, and finding out that they were the 2 guys that whacked Tommy Angelo in Chapter 14 Stairway To Heaven was mindblowing, although it was sad to have to witness Tom Angelo's death all over again cause I really got to like him in Mafia 1 as well
@@texasgent4694 I don't think Vito is dead, and there's a hint in Mafia 3 he is still alive in 2016. FBI Agent Maguire says that "today I'm sure the file on Vito Scaletta is about three feet thick."
The Mafia wasn't acknowledged publicly until 1957-1958, shortly after the Apalachian Summit. A three foot file would be at least 40-50 years of criminal activities from at least 1958. Ten years between 1958 and 1968 (Vito's not likely death year) definitely wouldn't amass a three foot file.
