That's what KSI has always said, if he took it as seriously as him, that he(deji) would be the better boxer of the two. It looks like Deji is taking it seriously now though and every fight he seems to be getting better and better.

He was being a little reckless on the inside when he had swarmz against the ropes but other than that, he did great. His pressure was great, his punch selection was pretty good but he did get hit HARD by swarmz quite a few times

If you look at the main hard right hook he got hit with it wasnt even that great he was trying to do what he normally does and use his head to get out but he got hit off balance which is what made it look worse than it was. But honestly swarmz didnt hit him with much

I love how it half way through turned into a review of Marvin Hagler and Tommy Hearns. Or as they are better known the Swarmz and Deji of the four Kings era.
In terms of footwork, combinations and being offensive Deji is clear as day the best. This is the second time he's thought on Misfits and looked the best on the card twice! Imo he needs to step up competition.
I agree, if Deji had the dedication to the sport as somebody like Jake Paul, he would be unstoppable in this scene. I think Deji is the most naturally talented in this scene.
He just needs better defense when he goes forward cause swarmz hit him way more than he was supposed too
Combination? Not really as he spams the same one over (the ones he uses are really good and look clean) so if u find a decent boxer they would be able to read the hit, foot work and head movement, couldn't agree more. But the problem is him going forward, he's still reckless when going forward.
@@jaguwa4816 maybe but I'm not to sure, his movement was quite natural but he has seem to struggle more with offense which is a massive thing. It's quite funny when u see the ksi love to be offensive but struggles more defensively. Where as deji is the opposite.
@@aysparkz6645 I personally didnât think he struggled at all with offence, in his last 2 fights at least. I think he chooses his shots quite well and he hits them wherever he knows he will land. He also uses some great defensive techniques while he is on the offence which impressed me. The only thing Iâm not sure about is how he would handle pressure offensively.
I agree with wade 100 percent all the time but saying pineda is better than deji ill have to disagree with that . Dejis shown he was levels above swarmz . Swarmz was just out of depth with deji. With someone like pineda im pretty sure he'll be a lot more comftorable throwing his shots
Deji just needs to learn how to be defensively sound going forward. When he was going againsts swarmz he was mainly getting hit when being on the front foot. So i believe if deji learn to have better defence while pressing forward, plus get better cardio he will be very well rounded. Which also means he will be a touch fight for anyone close to his weight or hight.

â@@ammar675 yes he was but deji hasn't really been good going forward, yes he's gotten better but not by a lot. Look at Alex v deji to now. Back then deji didn't throw or push forward. Now we see him pushing forward but he clearly ain't doing it safely by entering with hands down, no jabs and head movement in to range. When deji uses his foot work and head movement it's normally to counter punch and move back.

I agree that Deji needs to move down to 154, heâs not a light heavyweight and you can tell the extra size hinders him. Hell, make a misfits super welterweight belt and have Deji fight for it.
What's crazy is that Deji took a 3 month lay off after his exhibition bout with Floyd. Yet he was able to beat Swarmz comfortably, like Leon said this was essentially at 60% Deji should definitely stayed committed its clear that he is technically and skillfully gifted he has the potential to be one of the best in the scene if he is focused and fully committed. Infact you could argue that he did better than Jj and established a more skillful performance

Losing the weight was the thing that caused him to be 60% not the time between fights. Remember back in the day 3 months between fights would be seen as a retirement.
@@Alex-cw3rz Deji should go to a lower weightclass I think that would benefit him a lot physically, His power is there its pretty clear he has power. Infact I'd even argue he has more natural raw power than KSI. Which might sound crazy but
160lbs is preferably where he should fight at maybe we'll finally see him with a aesthetically good physique.

There is defo work that needs to be done in dejis part. I think condiitoning needs working on as deji was landing good shots but didnt really have much impact which was strange to me as deji does have a lot of power . In this match he was defo lacking power. I dk if its to do with him losing 9kg in 10 weeks but his power wasnt up to scratch
Well that isn't really Deji's style. There are many boxers who's style isn't to knock people out but rather to either win on points or a potential stoppage.

Swarmz covered up nice and tight almost the entirety of the 2nd and 3rd rounds and Deji isnât fighting his natural weight class too
I think Wade is 100% on about the confusing match making. Giving Swarmz Pineda does nothing to help build one of the few entertaining personalities. Since they want to be the WWE let's not forget Pineda is a comedy character at best. I also don't get the Anthony Taylor Salt Papi fight, sure AT is kind of funny at pressers and weigh ins, but the product is the fights and he's debatably the most boring fighter on misfits, this isn't pro boxing don't derail a future star by putting him in there with someone who has no interest beyond scraping a points victory.

I get what everybody is saying about deji he does have to train the only thing is he fought close to 4 times in 2022 so he needed a bit of a break not as long as he took but i thinks he just needs to learn to stay fit in between fight camps and regulate his on and off training

Deji and Swarmz showed great evolution.
Deji's redemption arc is actually inspiring. And the way Swarmz evolved from first fight to second, and from that to last fighting showed commitment to the craft, man.
They're both great fighters, for people who started to do it this late in their lives.
Not to mention: Swarmz is taller, heavier and had bigger reach than Deji. But was defeated clean. Yes, Deji is better than people thought. Matter of fact, if you take skills only, he might be an even bigger problem to Jake Paul as of right now than I'm their last encounter.
Next tag team match on misfits Pineda and BDave vs swarmz and deji make it happenđ and Iâve heard that they planning to do a pro tournament id love to see a influencer tournament but with misfits fighters 8-16 fighters 8 is more realistic 16 is a bit of a stretch but if they stretch out the tournament between dif events like kingpyn did then it could work and the finals could either be for a vacant belt or if its at a weight that already has a champ then the winner gets a mandatory shot at that belt

Deji is just doing this for the check, and thereâs nothing wrong with that. These guys arenât professionals and deji has already showed us on multiple occasions he doesnât want to do what it takes to keep getting better

Hes got defense down while on the back foot, heâs got very good shot selection and power, heâs got a decent chin but the only things he needs work on is his defense going forward, getting too reckless and his footwork but other then that heâs got more potential then JJ, if he had jjs mindset and drive then he would easily be number 1 in the scene

Swarmz wasn't wrong. Dejis weakness with his fitness and work ethic is still there. He tries to act like hes changed but he did the same thing for the Wasabi fight. Luckily enough his skill can carry him and his work ethic has risen to a baseline good enough to actually see him through a 4 round fight.
