We are getting closer and closer to an actual Sword Art Online game now of course i will play it and well it might be hard to make a replica to Sword art online due to the original anime and the studio itself and if they see this they either shut it down OR they team up and make Sword Art Online REAL! with different VR games coming out or in development, you could almost think that the the concept of "The Oasis" might be created first with virtual links to other games(including Project Aincrad). but we'll see.
For sure there are many games similar to the oasis that meta is trying to create so i am sure we will get something between sword art online and ready player one. But that is pretty cool don't you think?
The Oasis would be the next stage because SAO was the first unique crazy rule-breaking game (in the anime and hopefully irl too), when we'll have enough of those games things like the Oasis will really be possible but for now VRC is the closest thing.

I remember when the dev's name was "WangSiFu" on CZcams, now it's "SiFuXR" I think. I found their project in July 2022 back when it wasn't even in alpha

Please tell me I'm not the only person who thinks a full dive TRON game based on TRON: Legacy would be an absolute banger. Like sure, SAO, I get it, but TRON I feel would be much easier to make a fully functional full dive game out to start off with. I would rather wait a bit longer for the technology to develop before getting full dive SAO.

Also, I'm interested in seeing what Mihoyo/Hoyoverse is capable of making in terms of an SAO world. And it would be cool if Sony starts making an SAO VR game, especially with that haptic feedback (and since we don't have a single official SAO VR game yet, which is incredibly surprising.)

The way he made sao sound is how I wish the anime actually went. Dont get me wrong I still really like sao but it was like 20% about the game and 80% about him and asuna (I dont remember how to spell her name) just being together. Can we have an sao special ova of what would have happened if they only focused on trying to clear the game please.
What about Sao progressive not sure what it’s about exactly but I heard it might cover some of the things you mentioned wanting.

The real question will be whether or not they'll balance the game around the series. Instead of giving every player class the ability to obtain the item or skill they want. Rather, that people people earn certain skills like in the series or that there is only one of one's on any given server.

I think these companies including this one are going about it all wrong. Sword Art Online is an anime and the environment is anime. The game should focus on hyper realistic environments and incorporate the rest onto it. I don’t wanna jump into a game I can tell isn’t real. I want to forget I’m even in a game.

the one thing they need is an AI to control and update/modify the world, like the game in SAO had. There already are NPCs controlled with AI that react differently and adapt to player input. Give an AI full control of that world and lets see what happens. Also, if graphics wont go up to what Unreal Engine can offer today and realistic graphics, it won't catch on.

To call those "VR" is not the maximum, VR can be a full dive, our technology can be called mixed reality. It's not to obfend companies but virtual reality makes me think about a virtual world, our technology itself look like a beta test. I would love if somebody pulls with an actual VR or AR like nerve gear or augma.
For nervegear as of now we can read output from our brains, what we just lack is how to input data on it.

This still isn't full dive VR. Full Dive Vr would require your headset to intercept your brain signals, which no VR headset can do. Nueralink can, but thats not a VR headset.
