Thank you for this video! Just two quick clarifications - The Fabricator was designed to wind bobbins without moving the needle/foot assembly (just pull the pin located at the face of the flywheel all the way out and this will disengage everything downstream and allow you to wind bobbins while leaving the current sewing thread, etc, in place on the machine.) Also, when winding a bobbin, reverse your procedure at the tension discs by routing the thread through the plastic eye first, then down around the tension discs, then over to the bobbin that's mounted and waiting to be wound. Enjoy your videos and have a good one!

I am waiting for my machine to arrive Monday. This is my first industrial machine. From the other videos I watched, you put the pin to disengage the needle when you want to wind the bobbin. That is the other method.

Watch the Sailrite video about this machine it is more accurate.
    Your info is confusing.

You release the posi pin to disengage the needle when filling the bobbin.

Pull the pin on the fly wheel and then you can fill the bobbin without moving the needle.

You can actually take the clutch pin out of the sewing machine pulley head, and it won't move the needle when you wind the bobbin.

You might have better tension results if you skip the middle hole of the top tension block. The foot lift is very much adjustable and it is recommended that you use the knee lift first and then use the hand switch once the foot is lifted. As someone else noted, you do not have to unthread the machine to wind a bobbin, just remove the pin from the hand wheel.

Was just going to point out everything you posted :-)
I was watching her trying to explain, shaking my head the whole time. Sailrite has exceptionally produced videos on how to do all this. I was watching it because I was looking for examples of it being used to sew with..

Doesn't the top of the needle have a flat side? Size 14 needles don't look like your description

I just got my machine. I can barely budge the hand lever for the presser foot. Do you have trouble?

Yes I have the same problem and have bruised my thumb trying to get it to lift! But I also have the knee lift which helps.
