    Last year I bought my first sewing machine. I got the Ultrafeed LS 1. I took a ribbing from some buddies about buying a sewing machine. I have a garage shop full of woodworking and metalworking tools. Two guys have brought me projects to sew for them. Knowing what I know now I would have got the Fabricator. I still have a lot to learn, but am having fun.

      I’m in the same boat! I’m. A woodworker and the past 2 years I’ve been getting into leather craft. I’ve been researching sewing machines and I went with the. Sailrite leatherworker. I feel better knowing that alot of men use sewing machines for leather!!

      Same here. The Ultrafeed has no finesse.

    The industrials with a table you can take the head out that’s the weight of it. You can definitely get it upstairs if you can make the clearance.

      I literally just clicked order on a Fabricator two minutes ago. A little nervous about the expense but excited too. Hope I don’t regret it and it helps me up my game like I keep thinking it will.

    Another difference between Sailrite and the lower end Juki is speed. They’re not even half as fast.

      You're very welcome and I'm glad you found me! I asked but I think my channel needs to be bigger for them to do anything 😞 until then I'll keep selling machines for them for free 🙂

    Hi Faith! I’ve been trying to find the Facebook group. Any idea if it’s still going and what it’s called or how I join?

    I want an industrial so bad but cant afford one out right. Do you know of any that take payments or even lawaway?

    • @faithwerksdesigns6197

      Unfortunately I do not, the best thing to do is to save up and maybe even sew to sell for a little bit and raise the money. You could make a post about wanting to save up the money for it on your personal page and make items to sell?

      @faithwerksdesigns6197 that's what I've been doing. I've saved up a few hundred. I'll get one eventually. I'm sewing on a vintage Singer 15-91 and she is a great machine. I can sew through 10 layers of vinyl. I'm just having and issue sometimes with skipped stitches and it HATES double sided tape. But, I'll keep her forever even when I get an industrial. I love her.

      Buy a used industrial one. Cost probably between 50 - 300$ in the US

    I am in not ready to invest in an industrial machine, but I would like to purchase large cones of thread such as the ones you use in your video. Any suggestions for use on a heavy duty domestic machine? I am hesitant to buy from a supplier that caters to industrial machine users until I know which threads my machine can handle.

    • @faithwerksdesigns6197
      @faithwerksdesigns6197  Před rokem

      I don't as I haven't bought any for mine but you could always go on Sew Whatever on FB and ask there. There are a lot of domestic users there that might be able to help.

    I buy two of every thread just so I don’t have to thread my Fabricator after every bobbin winding.
