- ALL ABOUT ADHESIVE | TIPS EVERY LASH TECH SHOULD KNOW | LASH ARTIST TIPS | ALL ABOUT LASH GLUE
Lash adhesive is SO important and there are actually so many things to know about it but I tried to cover the important ones! I hope this helped shed some light on adhesive, its main differences from lash glue and what we need to know to purchase the right one!
Adhesive
Adhesive is one the most important part of eyelash extensions and it is extremely important you understand how the product works and what product you are using making sure you always follow the manufacturers instructions for any product you use.
How does eyelash adhesive work?
Eyelash extension glue is quite different from Strip Lash glue. It is meant to adhere much longer than a cosmetic glue and is only meant to be used by a professional lash technician. It has a much stronger list of ingredients that are not meant to stick to the skin as it could cause a reaction.
- Glue is meant to bond the lash to the natural lash until the point when the natural lash sheds
- Stronger ingredients = longer bond. Glue with a lower level of ingredients are the best for sensitive eyes but may have a short-term retention
- Adhesive does not dry, it cures. Drying refers to air drying wet glue and adhesive, reaches its maximum bond by drawing moisture from the air once its applied to the natural lash.
- There are glues that can cause Cancer due to its ingredients. Formaldehyde is the worst ingredient in lash glues for both the lash tech and client.
- The smell of lash glue is unavoidable in both gentle glues as well as strong ones. It is a short-lived issue and we find the right lash glue can have an exceptionally light odor.
- Humidity is a major factor with lash glue. 50-55% humidity is ideal to have your lashes adhere faster allowing you to lash faster and more efficiently.
- A humidifier will add moisture in the air and keep your lash glue at optimal bonding temperature.
- Lash glue is made up of mostly cyanoacrylate
- Lash glues have different drying time for all levels of experience (1-2 second, 3-4 seconds, 5-6 seconds)
- Cotton and adhesive should mix, when they do, it creates smoke and can burn your client this is why we do not use any cotton items to prep the lashes
- There are 2 colours of adhesive you can get, clear or black

I am going through all your videos. I learned so much from your channel. Thank you. I have a quick question. What do you do if your clients suddenly tell you she can feel the fume of the glue and it's hurting her. So what should the solution be at that moment?

Thank you for all this info? What if the tech wears contacts is that safe or no?
If you have glasses it's a better option but contacts is still okay to wear while lashing.
@@arielrenee thank you 😊
I have a question: why is it that when I start lashing the adhesive works great but let's say when starting the second eye, even after pouring a new drop it doesn't work as good? I have to hold it 5 to 8 seconds for it to stay... can you please help? Thanks
Maybe not shaking it good? Idk just guessing
If you put the new drop too close to the old drops it’ll make that new drop dry quicker aka not work as well
What’s a good beginner adhesive?
My fans are always closing when I apply them to the lash, is it due to my glue or my technique 😩. Love the video x
I actually did a video on this just for you!! I'm posting it tonight so keep your eye out :)
@@arielrenee much needed , can’t wait x
So helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Can you use that adhesive with classic lashes?
Is Amazon a good place to get lash extension glue? If so what kind do you recommend?
If you don’t recommend getting glue from Amazon what brand do you recommend?
I don't recommend getting glue from Amazon as it plays such a big role on your retention. Flowrish Lashes Infinite Bond is a great adhesive.

Is this glue beginner friendly?
I’d say if you just started you need something that has a little bit of a slower drying time. Maybe like 4-5 second dry time.
I just started and having a glue that dried too fast increased my lash time by hours because the lashes wouldn’t bond the first time or they would barely bond and pop off when brushed. I tried Stacy lash 5 second glue and it saved my life !! Get it on Amazon
Hey thank youu for the information’s but I hope next time you’d speak slower..not all of us are native speakers 😹💔
