Same bro. We cant just let other people make us feel bad for not being in a relationship. Its hard sometimes when people look at as wierd or think something is wrong with us. But its because we are more focused on improving ourselves rn. How are we gonna love and accept someone else if we need to work on loving and accepting ourselves first. I've been told that I'm at least a straight 7 and a gay 10 and I just can't seem to get myself to look for anything or anyone.
I just lacked the drive and energy. It all just seems overwhelming and tiring and I guess I'm either too self-centered or my standards are too high.

In my experience up to the age of 19 is easier than any other time because you are at your physical peak and sell yourself through more superficial avenues. Peers' sex drive is at an all time high too. Older you get it is based more on how successful a person you are, achievements and goals etc. Maybe why I've never been in a relationship after overcoming shyness after my teenage years.
Something I realized recently: we're all attractive, we're all pretty great, we all have a lot to give, and we're all capable of leading good relationships. We really don't need to do it to prove it. We all will be absolutely fine if we wait and act according to wisdom and not peer pressure, or hear-say advice, or carnal desires. Sex, physical intimacy close to sex/leading to sex, relationships, emotional intimacy, the other person's feelings, your own feelings, they all matter and are not trivial, whatever other people say. And you don't need THAT experience to learn. I went emotionally "too far" with a friend, which went to going physically too far and almost sex. I am 24 and this is the first time. I tell you, I learned nothing new. Zero, nada, everything I learned I already knew. I am incredibly thankfull for my protected life so far, and my lack of certain types of experiences. And I have learned so much despite not having had these experiences. I felt like such a complete moron during the aftermath of what I did because I knew everything already and did it anyway, and all I gained was confirmation about things I was already confident about. That, and a changed relationship, and having done something unhealthy to a friend, and memories I don't want to keep.
I've been in your situation and I can tell you now that you're saying a lot of nonsense, but you're on the right track. Sex in itself is fun, but making love is that plus an extremely emotional connection with another person. The latter is a very vulnerable position to put yourself in because to get to that requires investing more than just that moment. You have to put in work, and faith, and understanding. You can have your doubts, but you're overall big picture needs to be clear enough to know that what you're doing is the right thing. I too have been in those moments where you're both naked and ready to get things going, but you choose to not take it to the next step because something just doesn't feel right, and that's okay. I was 16 when I was in that position, and all I could hear in my head was the sound of children that I wasn't ready to have. I'm 33 now with an amazing wife and 2 kids, both planned and I am able to provide for them. I would never been able to do what I am able to now back when I was that age, and I'm glad I waited for the right person and time.
Also, sex is better when it is a consequence and not a goal. If your goal is to get laid, then you're not thinking long term and will probably make mistakes. If it is a consequence to a great relationship with another person, then you know you are looking at that person more as a partner and not just some temporary fling.
Lastly, not everyone is very attractive and all the things you say. Most people don't just wake up and have the opportunity to create a list of potential partners based off of just existing. Most people have to put in work to become attractive, to become a value to society. A lot of people don't want to put in the work, and some people take pride in themselves by making themselves more valuable. At the end of the day, you get out what you put in, and if you can build up enough small victories each and every day, chances are you give yourself more and better opportunities in the long run. This is why having an optimistic viewpoint is valuable because you open yourself up to be looking for those small wins.

I'm 19, turning 20 and it's the same for me bro, I feel that forcing it is just bizarre and considering I too have grown up being awkward and shy with pretty high standards, it hasnt helped nor has avoiding socialising, helped anything. I'm a lot more confident now and I consider my standards to be pretty normal.. like as long as you aren't one of them gay coloured haired women who are liberal and you have a cool personality with similar interests and are attractive (not in the superficial model kind of way) then I'm happy, like I guess I don't bother because I know that a lot of women nowadays have toxic beliefs, they don't respect men, those that do respect us have very high standards and we are looked at as walking atms who should be popular with status and yet non of those things would ever cross my mind when wanting to be with a girl I like.. as long as you keep improving and being yourself, doing what makes you happy and you try to put yourself out there, I believe it's possible to find the right one.

The problem is also that most people have zero empathy. It's not just a lack of a girlfriend. I missed out on nearly all of the common social situations that most people go through in high school through college.
I’ve dated a couple times in middle school and early high school but they didn’t really feel special and I never had like a real relationship. I’m 20 now and I travel a lot for work so it’s kinda hard to find the person. But I look at my friends and most of them had or are in toxic relationships so I think to myself it’s kinda nice enjoying myself and focusing on myself.
