it took me 6 years to save up for one of these... it was worth it!
Is it good still? I have not more money for better …
1:49 Thanks Sami, those search tricks are super handy even for original XDJ-RX owners
All good bro!
Great video! Is the beat grid adjustment feature only available in usb mode? Mine doesn’t seem to work when pressed down and hold in midi mode
This product is Value for money 👍
Helpful! Looks great
What do you use the Aux input for ? Can you use this to connect to RMX-1000 for example?
I'm looking to be sure if this model XDJ-RR does support to show the Alphanumeric format of the key of the tracks on the led.
It seems that I found many comments stating that it only supports classic format at all. Can you confirm?
haha, big up for dnb at 3:04
What usb makes work well with this? And what format?
love my RR .. thx
Can you connect vinyl and use as controller ?
is there a sampler on the rr model that work in rekordbox dj....?
Hey, help me decide. What’s closer to club CDJ’s, the DDJ-1000 or the XDJ-RR?
Can this use standalone with XDJ XP1?
2:20 how did you manage so that the letter appear? I only come ot the point where I can scroll for pages.
anybody knows how to set headphone cue during Midi Mode on active? i can't hear the new song...
Hey bro, great video. I'm struggling to set my beat jump to 32 bars so I can scroll by phrase. I have the beat jump beat length in rekordbox set to 32 and load my settings when I put in my usb on my xdj, but it's still showing the default 1,2,4,8 beat jump values.
same exact question brings me to this video! Let me know when you find out
when holding the selector to grid the track, does it work only when using usb or also while in midi mode with laptop?
Also wanted to ask how can you adjust the screen like this 0:45 track above track grid
Hello. I need help with something, I have an old Skool sony stereo system from 1999 it’s called the lbt- xb800av dsw, at the back of the system it’s got about 3 or 4 inputs at the back and at the back of the xdj rr’s they’ve got 2 inputs, will they work with my system? If anyone could help that would be great thanks.
Price tag? Very nice for beginner DJs, and again Pioneer really are really trying to get people used to their mainstage/club equipment, without spending a fortune, very cool 👍
It has just come out at £1019. It certainly is, it's exciting to see them doing this as its making some exciting options
Does anyone know what audio output/cables I will need to plug into my KrK rokits?
A couple of standard Male to Female XLR will do the job :)

I cant get mine to go to the wave screen. It would be better if you would have shown that
Would love to migrate over to rekordbox serato ok but the functionality of rekordbox is better. Due to being able to use a controller with out a laptop.its just there for emergency n stuff.
🔥💯
What's the dimensions?
I have the original xdj Rx. I'm really considering selling it and then buying this xdjrr it's sort of a downgrade but I really like how it is 40 percent lighter to carry. I'm a old man with hip problems. Should I trade it in?
Very thorough! I wanted a DDJ-1000, but now I'm conflicted.
It is a tough call. The DDJ-1000 is very attractive with it's packed features and 4 channels but the ability for the XDJ-RR to run standalone with its display and it's heavy similarities in layout to the DJM/CDJs are pretty attractive themselves.
In my opinion, the main factors to weigh up is how much you value standalone capability, number of channels available, effects options and being involved in Pioneer's standardised interfaces. Hopefully rating those could help make up your mind, it really is a difficult decision!
dolphinbuc only get the 1000 if you need 4 channel and bigger controller this is compact so alot better
i disagree, it's easy call... only the size is the real good point for this unit. DDJ 1000 is on another league. you already own a laptop so forget about display(not touch screen) and standalone(means small library).
how is it better?
MOUSSAL FAMILY The jog wheel features on the DDJ-1000 have me leaning towards it.
Great video! Which is better device, xdj rr or ddj800?
They're quite different. The XDJ-RR does not need a computer, you just put your USB stick in and go.
The DDJ-800 is a controller, and requires to be hooked up to a computer/laptop.
Because of this the DDJ-800 has a lot more Beat FX options, it also has nicer jog wheels with displays inside them and overall more working space on the unit. The trade-off of course is that you need the computer/laptop, and the XDJ-RR can be used completely standalone.
@@GetintheMix thanks bro!
What did you buy?
can you connect turntable and play vinyl simultanously?
Nope, it has no phono inputs. Only has a Microphone & Aux (phone/tablet) input.
I feel bad they keep on doing the little jog. I bought the ddj1000 for being more identical to the cdjs more would be perfect if it were with storage drive
Mine is not showing wave forms😢.. Help
I've got a quick question: Why isn't good enough for clubs or big gigs? Is it because of the lack of output ports?
Yes! No booth output, can't hook up any cdjs to it or turntables, to be honest your better off purchasing the xdj-r1, xdj-rx or the xdj-rx2 than this unit.
Okay thanks a lot for the recommendations !
@@greggparker2592 wait... tou can't hook it up to a mixer that HAS a booth output?
@@spvcethvg8462 Of course you can that is the whole point this small RR hits the spot you could play Awakenings on it if you wanted to. You would need and external bus mixer which is simple you can get one with compression. I use one from the the swiss guy Uli B.
Can you live Dj and record using the USB2 at the same time
Pretty sure you can
Is there a way to add more sound fx?
Without using an external effects unit, there is no way to expand the built-in effects on the XDJ-RR.
Damn no reverb fx ?
@@12tribes61 no REVERB???
No touch screen?? It's 2018!!
great device but i only wish it would have a smaller footprint - like 10-20% more compact would make it to the perfect dj controller imo
Ümit Ay agreed, but this is all we got for now lol
Then the R1 is what you are looking for. I had it before and it was amazing.
XDJ RR vs DDJ 800?
"Quirks & Features," you say? Should have started the video with "THIS is a Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR."

£1019 bit way over priced.i was more thinking £650 something.hope it's not aimed at the beginner market.best off buying something cheaper just to dip your toes in 1st.
