yeah seriously~! Pioneer, you guys were so close make the best in the market and f**ked it up with that feature.
I saw another review where you can control all 4 decks in Recordbox. You just press shift on the deck to get the the 2nd one.

Denon Prime 4 is still a overall better offering.

Does anyone know if this mixer output is comparable to a battle mixer like S9/Rane72?
ive gone from a ddj flx-6 to one of these and oh boy taking it out the box did it pickle my head. not used ''proper'' cdjs before so it was a litle overwhelming. had it a few days now and im getting used to it. the one thing i cant seem to figure out is how to disable auto play when i load a track. and the cue button is disabled for a few seconds when it does as such. overall it seems a beast to me. reading the comments i feel a little naive but for my recreational use this thing is flippin ace 😁
He said there is no extra setting for EQ ... there is an option in utility settings :) !!!!! actually very nice and important for mixing also!

So how is this any different to a NXS2 with 2 CDJs attached? Is it inferior in any way? It seems almost identical!

If you have cdj 2000 (no waveform) and it's linked up would the waveform show on them??
It will show the Wave Form of that CDJ. Like a normal 4 deck set up. XZ will show channel 1/2 wave form on the unit / channel 3 and 4 CDJ will show the wave form of that CDJ.
Does the build quality from the jog wheels and knobs is the same to the DDJ-1000 and the same to the CDJNXS2?
Yes the feeling of this unit is much the same as Pioneer DJ's other flagship gear, very solid and premium!

Why do they need a feedback button? Why not just build it in and make it automatic ? Seems redundant to have a button to turn it on and off. What am I missing?

Why do I get that sinking feeling when it comes to the gear from Pioneer? OK two good things about this unit, the master EQ and the feedback-destroyer. But really it's Pioneers answer to Denon MCX-8000 at the double price.
yeh it is, my denon mxc8000 was great but the build quality and firmware just isnt made to last a long time compared to pioneer stuff
Hi, regarding audio comparisons with the XDJ-XZ and the CDJ-2000 NXS2 and DJM 900 is there any difference in sound quality? ;)
A tip: watch series at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

Personally I just convert FLAC to WAV so I can play it and keep it on iTunes and I also keep the original FLAC file because it is future proof
I think that the only downside is the price, because everything else is great. The soundcard is better than de DDJ 1000 and you have the four decks if you use serato or rekordbox. It's an ideal choice to aboyid buying the full nexus gear that is way more expensive.
You said it's a downside but then the rest of your comment, especially the last part, makes it sound like a positive, so i'm confused lol $2,500 is reasonable considering it's Pioneer we're talking. $2,500 vs $5k to $8k with CDJs and a DJM

So you get this one now and in a year or so, pioneer gonna come up with a cdj 2000 Nexus mk 3
Pioneer is now releasing a new controller every weekend with new features so you get your nerves destroyed and never have a full spec controller, like it's a video game that you have to unlock a feature somehow...
You're right. They have the capability to create one good controller but they leave out a few features only to add them 2yrs later. My gigs has slowed due to covid so I'll wait to see what happens next.

Can you hook up the DJS-1000 Sampler with this unite ? And have a 4 channel standalone performance ????
Sacha Vasic It has full functionality for the DJS-1000 including the Live Sampling. The USB playback is for 2 tracks. So 1 USB and 1 DJS-1000 would be 3 channels being used. With 1 channel left over for any other source.

Why does the 7 inch display matter, your dj gear doesn't have to be a tablet or laptop. If you want a big screen than get a controller with a laptop
Sami should learn Pioneer's products better, Pioneer DJM 1000, it has 3 band EQ on the master channel :)
You need to lower the price, Denon Prime 4 has way more features for less money. The most people will spend on this unit is about ✔$1399 whoever came up with ❌$2300, I want them terminated immediately.🙄🙄🙄
It's personal preference DJPOPA, might be other people's cuppa tea even if it's not yours.

@@DJPOPAAL 3 years later, probably. Only reason i'm getting one is due to it being very similar almost identical to club standard gear. I want to be ready to step up to CDJs and know what i'm looking at, as well as get my Rekordbox files ready and analyzed. But very true that not everyone is after the same goal. Otherwise PRIME 4 , definitely seems to give you more for your money.
I got a ddj s1 from 2011 and it does have 2 mic inputs with EQs...not a first exclusive feature only from this pioneer controller...wrong info from the guy 0:36

Denon prime 4 OR Denon sc5000 with x1800 mixer is same price, more features, better sound quality extra 4 knob filters, wifi onboard and next firmware streaming straight from beatport. And Pioneer talks 5 min over there microphone and eq ... Omg. Please dj's look at Denon what they have to offer for less money. And i m not sponsored, i payed myself and bought the sc5000 x1800. So much netter then the Pioneer.
yes but pioneer is industry standard and in every club/bar so nobody wants denon ;D

Denon DJ vs Pioneer DJ is just like Android vs iOS. I personally like the look and especially Effects quality of Pioneer stuff. Someone likes Denon gear...and that’s fine!

The Funkloft you don’t even really need it. I would use Serato or traktor for organizing and DJ utilities for exporting your music. Done
@@bboymac84 Don't mind this guy. He doesn't get the point. We all loved Pioneer for too long because there was no serious competition. Now that Denon has come up with Prime Series with way better features and technology, it's just foolish to continue being loyal to a brand that no longer cares about its customer base.
all that money and still no on board sampler functionality, hard thumbs down, loss of two channels is another big L..simply not worth the money..standalone means standalone, all functionality .... no one has done it still to date.... this is just a big stanton scs.4dj which I still own on the side until someone shows up with a real solution..until then it's DDJ SX1/2/3 controller and serato on the laptop for me.

Then get your glasses on. I'm 51 and really need to get myself reading glasses, but I have no problems to see everything going on with just a glance at those screens, including browsing for tracks. Compared to the Prime 4 that is made for people who need to read the screen from 5 meter away, they've really prioritized huge fonts, so that you don't see more than six rows of tracks, and have to wait for each track to scroll to see the full file-/track name, on par with the 10 year old first gen CDJ-2000's. But, by all means, use it as a controller and bring your 42'' 4k TV screen, and perhaps you can read what's on the screen. Stupid comments like this always come from people that have no experience with the gear in question at all, but sit behind their computer dreaming of becoming a DJ one day, probably doing some producing and too and thinking life is unfair, behind that big screen. I am not stuck behind a huge screen at home, but are out there playing on this gear 200 days a year, in dark clubs and out on terraces in the bright sun, which is way worse than using any gear in the dark. Sorry if i'm wrong about you, but then you really need those glasses.

My take on the XDJ-XZ is this. It is nothing but an oversize version of the DDJ 400. It is not a 4 channel unit like the DDJ-1000. It is a 2 channel standalone waste of money! You can only use the other 2 channels by hooking it up to another device )i.e turntable or CDJs. Here's the worse part. Pioneer is asking for $2.3K for this. WHY??? I am not a fan of Denon but they did it right with Prime 4. It is a fully function 4 channel standalone controller. The excuse Pioneer reps like Sammy are BS!! Just say you were too damn lazy to make a 4 channel standalone and want to rip off upcoming DJs. Don't fall for this, please. If you want a 4 channel controller, get the DDJ-1000. If you must have a standalone, get the XDJ-RX2. It 's a 2 channel but it is a real Pioneer standalone controller. Don't waste your money on this!!
