Never mixed a song in my life. Just bought one of these 3 weeks ago.....absolutely loving it. I just DJ at home and get stupid on twitch for friends. I think it's a good fit for home dj fun. AND the 4 channels is nice.
are you using flx6 for streaming on twitch? did you need something external like sound card or something

I am a drummer of 20 plus years and didn't to take up another bedroom or garage space. So I looked into DJ decks I bought a ddj 200 and the salesman said "see you in 2 weeks" I laughed went away and instantly loved playing. Within a week I had found I was playing and using features on the controller but also had to use the laptop to make mixes. So great for me Pioneer has a 30 day money back guarantee and the flx6 was on special offer. So before I ran out of my 30 day time frame to return it I traded up. FLX6 should be here tomorrow. Can't wait to get it and have a play. As for all the merge FX , Jog cutter and double layering I take all of those with a pinch of salt. Skills pays the bills so the fundamentals are still key for me and those effects are not the main reason for my upgrade. 4 deck mixing and full size jog wheels are the main features that I like. I'm hoping the FLX6 will last me about a year then I'm going for the ddj1000. Awesome video fellas. Sorry in advance for the long winded reply

Really interested..I don't know if would get theq Gemini mdj CDJS 600 (£640) bundle or the DDJ flux6 ..I do like it.. ..I have been DJing practice for nearly 2 1/2 years..building up a 4th set up.

For the output I think it hits the sweet spot for the Aimed price! No one buying a 800$ controller would think about plug-in it to a 2000$+ xlr speakers!
For me the flx6 is perfect for an enthusiast who want to start into djing and play at home or small house parties and enjoy it for quite a few years and see if someday they can make some money throwing parties! And only then investing in something like a ddj 1000 or even a xdj!
Personally I went flx6 instead of the recommended ddj400 just because I wanted 4 decks, full size jogs and I was lazy to upgrade again in a short term! At least the flx6 may be futur proof if I just want to keep dying as a hobby

Where did the sc6000 vs cdj3000 video go?
Is there a way to make the marge fx to not stop the track? For example I don’t want to use it for mix deferent genre, I want to use it in tech house to make a base transition between two tracks, is it possible?
There is a setting (in rekordbox) for this, or you can hold shift when turning off the merge fx to keep the track playing instead of stopping like it normally would.

The ns6ii has more features. But I like the size and how the platters seem to work on the flx6

Dunno if this comment is late, but if you had an entry level controller don't buy the 400s. Buy this or save up some more and get the ddj1000.

No xlr connectivity. No aux input. Professional look but professional standard controller.
Serato has had dual layer for the Pioneer controllers for ages, you just press both deck buttons at once. It's not exclusive to Rekordbox

800 definitely if you are okay with 2 channels. That's a proper semi-pro gear, the flx6 is more like a level2 bedroom fun stuff

I was considering this controller but after watching this and reading the comments I can see it's just a gimmick. Would rather spend the extra 500 and get the ddj 1000.
That's a big difference in price though. For many people, the budget is the budget and yeh some of it's a bit gimmicky, but that's ok, you still get 4 channels and a solid all round controller for not a lot money compared to other options.
@@stinger15au ur forced to stay in the bedroom though with no proper audio outputs. so both sides are valid i personally agree tho that the extra $500 for the ddj 1000 is worth it
@@Lexalot_ I'm not sure that you're forced to stay in the bedroom though - in the sense that you've got four channels to practice on and your library set up in rekordbox, that's everything you need you plop your crate onto a usb and jump on the club system with confidence
Traktor compatible, if you count lack of platter control and no scratch in traktor, locked out by pioneer.
The scratch effect is throwing me off.
merge effect has some delay you need to do 3 seconds before the before drop.... so like 'mfucking animals' like 2 to 3 seconds before that you need to exit, that is the only way i came so far with it xD

Pioneer DJ have turned Gemini DJ. Shocking.. The channel fader caps come off in your hand, also bend sideways.. Whoever decided this was a good idea at $ 20 a piece too make and sell for a profit with 128 MP3 soundcard should be fu&k+d up. Shame on you p DJ . Big up Denon. Better stuff by far. MC 8000 stood up to 8 Terabyte hard drive and still anylising tracks.....🤩

lol...this thing allows you to livestream a mix while chatting online, its an amazing home use machine or for some laidback parties. It can be used by anyone the more skills you put in the more it puts out. The scratching capabilities are very good if you know how to use them but nothing like what a Vinyl setup can provide with a skilled battle DJ. Also...Djing is basically robotic assist now that's the reality. Beatmatching and Scratching are a dying art and DJing is now all about creativity and content, so go for the remixes and show 'em that you can take the output to the next level.
There are lots of features on many "high end" controllers that I would not use doesn't mean that you disregard the entire thing simply don't use the features you don't want to there is no such thing a a magic scratch button real scratch enthusiast know the difference

I would remap the merge effects its just a gimmick and takes away dj from controller

disliked simply for the product, you guys are great! Not a fan of this, had similar gimmicky effects (although the scratch is rather snazzy) on a controller many years ago and that was £100! Build quality I can hear from here 🤣 maybe when/if it hits the second hand market I’ll give it a whirl! I just want a stand-alone usb controller at near this price point with just the basics, I don’t need all these effects ☹️

the unit is good for a baby it sound terrible, I. bought for almost $700 in New York the effect is in the software nothing is in the unit / only in rekordbox works and sound a little better but in Serato terrible please any buddy that wants to buy make shure you tray it first.

Its a mid. Something in between 400 & 1000.
It's not meant to be. Different target of DJ's. This is is a pumped up DDJ-400, great beginner/home device & less than half the price of a DDJ-1000. The DDJ-1000 is a pro DJ device you can bring to the club and hook up a bunch of external devices like Turntables and CDJ's and play from different sources. BUT, if you're satisfied using only software and don't have any intentions to bring it outside your home, you can do pretty much the same on both devices. Gives it pretty good value for the right user.
@@dj-peterofficial2753 exactly, this was made for those who fancy gigs with friends, usb powered just hooked up anywhere if you got full battery on your laptop play even in the woods, lightweight just 8 lbs, full size jog wheels, i dont understand why people make so hilarious comparisons between this and ddj 1000 that cost more than double! f...hell and even this one you can linked to a full size club speakers if you pre-amp the rca so for this price point i thinks that does the job very well! peace
