DVS Ready means that it works with DVS (e.g. record decks and control vinyl) but isn't a hardware unlock device so you need a subscription that includes DVS to use them to control the software.
Miguel Torres Abreu Rane twelves connect through usb to your computer in turn you can set them for channel 3 or 4 and I think 1 or 2 And changing your jogs to 3 and 4

@@halcyondaystunes yes it does... the ddj-1000 have a dedicated sampler in the rgb pads on the unit and a dedicated sampler volume button on the hardware itself... and yes also available in the sotfware itself...
This unit was not made for a mobile DJ its way to big once it’s cased up and trying to use just a usb for a wedding or any other gig it’s just not practical. Great quality controller imo if you’re a mobile DJ use the sz or the new 1000 ✌🏼

idk if it's your firmware update but i just bought this controller. worst decision of my life. First of all it's only "standalone" in 2 channels which i already knew but i thought oh i works with rekordbox and serato. think again. if you want to use rekordbox you have to renistall the windows 10 driver and every time you reset your controller. same applies for serato, i keep getting the "failed to connect" message which redirects me to serato support page which is just as useless as the pioneer DJ support page, it blows my mind that this controller is roughly $2300 USD and the support for this controller is atrocious, for the money i expected more and the software is absolute garbage, i got it to work with serato one time and when i restarted my computer serato kept failing again. i have tried every single troubleshooting on both the serato support page and the pioneer support page, but i will definitely be returning mine; if they're all like this i'm just gonna look elsewhere for a better standalone controller.
In UK your first port of call for support is your dealer. We have sold a pile of these and not one single report of a problem at all. Not one! However the issues you're describing could easily relate to a dodgy usb port or worse on your computer. Rule all of that out by trying with a different computer altogether, and if you get nowhere enlist the help of your dealer.
so frustrating this is not 4 channels like the ddj 1000 , standalone and can only use 2 just a massive disappointment, also not giving the ddj 1000 Fx Frequency range, is also an insult, @pioneer already know from their surveys and online request that we all want a standalone unit, with 4 decks capabilities , and a screen for a decent price, just add a screen to the ddj 1000 already, with more connectivity at the back of unit.
I know sucks really just ripping us of but at the end of the day i have to use pioneer cause thats what my dj industry uses. I think pioneer is to scared to relase a proper 4 channel deck with a 4 screen as is will lower cdj buyers as it will be cheaper but knowing pioneer they will slap another 3k on for making that controller
The DDJ-1000 isn’t a four deck stand-alone. Not even a 2 deck stand-alone. You always need your laptop. With the xdj-xz you can use the four channels like you do on a DDJ-1000, with a laptop.
That trash screen again in late 2019!? We need a 11” 1440p OLED , with an actual computer built in like denon! That layout and screen is outdated. You would think pioneer would do better than denon. They could of easily replaced that fat screen with a bezel-less screen. Smh
Fully agree, I have the P4 and the 10" screen is gorgeous and has incredible multitouch, I've played with the pioneer "reply" at the store and the limited feature set and hideous screen turned me off immediately. Tidal HiFi integration sealed the deal for me with the Prime4, it's an amazing piece of kit.

Advantage with this Pioneer is that you can use standalone and laptop and the same time. So you can audio mix on standalone channels and video dj mixing via laptop on ch 3+4. Plus you have a separate Aux for plugging in a phone or separate laptop to stream tracks

No, only one laptop port at the back. Would need to use USB intermediate step to changeover. The smaller DDJ 1000 has 2 lappy ports but no USB.

No, just 2 with usb. With laptop you can use 4 decks.

It doesn't look like it does. It was not in the rx2 and this is the upgraded controller of that.
The DDJ1000 doesn't contain a sampler, It's the software.

Prime 4 has tiny joghweels which is why i didn't get it. Doesn't look as pro.
