Thanks for telling us, but just for the sake of knowing, @ 6:37, there’s this one-frame “you blink, you’ll miss it” moment where an Aoba Josai says “Could you get that ?”
Was that intended ?
Nicholas Leclerc I lost a bet, lol
Aleczandxr can you tell us what the bet was about?
You should check out Eyeshield 21. It's a but similar to haikyu
Aleczandxr hey dude another amazing video was going ask if you still have that video of Gilamesh talking about the important of the jester kind of needed it for my papers for school it was amazing. Well at least to site it as a resource
*Me, before watching Haikyuu:* It's just a sport. I don't get what's so great about it.
*Me, after watching Haikyuu:* Volleyball is not just an game, is way of life and passion for the poeple that love playing it, because they poured their sweat, blood and spirit. It's a way to connect people through trust, teamwork and hardwork.
Maria Paz G. Lesme same
Am i the only one who really wanted to pick up volleyball afer Haikyuu, but didn't have anyone to do it with? ;(
hell fuckin’ yea
Lol same here
@@doomguy3558 I did, then I found a team. Real life is different...unfortunately, most of the time you will find people unwilling to get better at something, playing because it's just their routine...forget teamwork, forget getting better for a reason, forget victory as the ultimate goal. Passion requires discipline, will and consciousness of what one really wants. And it's rare.
Only Haikyuu can turn Volleyball into an emotion filled and action packed sport in anime form.
It's you..
:*
Remembering you exist just made my life 1 gram worse
Desty dude why this guys awesome
Hey you!
Aahh Haikyuu..the series where you literally love every single character.
even when the show tries to throw an annoying character in there they end up winning me over :/
I love them all except nohebi
@@pranitahazoari3325 i love them all, including nohebi 😂
@@sindri1447 haikyuu getting season 4 btw :D
Geeze, tell me about it. All the characters are so well written.
I get chills at that quote every time. “Do you need a reason not to want to lose.”
Dude I get chills all the time watching haikyuu
*But it's summer*
Time stamp pleaseeeeee

@Ari luvs Jesus where is it :D
"Humans seek happiness and hope. But it's ironic... that despair is what cultivates them. Danger. Extreme situations. It's only within despair that humans will agonize, think, rise, and evolve.
So stand up.
I'm not interested in mundane meat that sat in lukewarm water."

God, I love that The Promised Neverland moment (even if people don't like the Goldy Pond arc)
@@tanukimika There are really people that don't like the Goldy Pond arc??
Something I didn’t see brought up in the video was Hinata’s near-catchphrase, “mo ikai”. One more. One more game, one more chance to win. He says it so much I can’t type it without hearing his voice actor.
Just thought it was worth mentioning >~> thank you for making your videos, I never tire of rewatching them
Or when things are hard, the smaller goal "mo ippon", ONE MORE POINT!
Remove his cheery innocent side, and Hinata can become an extremely scary character in a horror movie. That blank hungry stare of his gives me chills.
Imagine... his extreme passion, his speed and jumping skills, that blank stare... jeeze that’s scary.
I don’t think a sports anime has EVER made me care about its sport like Haikyuu!!
and haikyuu getting season 4 finally
Honestly tho
Yuri on ice ?
Watch Hajime no Ippo, if you love sports anime you should it a try
Hinata's stare always gives me goosebumps
I re-watched seasons 2 and 3 during the last weeks and notice something, in the matches' ends usually the camera focuses in the defeated ones while we can hear the victorious celebrating. This made me realize how the show always try to communicate that for someone wins, someone needs to lose, and how painful is that.
About the “lack” of a villain or even a “villainous” team, I think this is so great. I noticed that I really like all the characters, and I love how the show isn't trying to force me to dislike a character because he's “evil” (I really like Kuroko no Basket, but I hate how some characters are cartoonish villainous and I need to hate them just because). This make the characters feel real and is so much more powerful make us sympathize with them than just hate them.
In time: Tendou (Guess Monster) is the best character.
PS: Sorry for the bad English, it isn't my first language, I still learning it.
Well same studio made kuroko no basket and haikyuu anime series. Haikyuu getting season 4 finally :D
@@danskukoivisto2314 Yes, I know, but these qualities that I quoted come from the source material. The manga is like this, Production I.G did a great job adapting both works, but for me it only highlights the quality of Haikyuu's script, as the technical qualities of both works are very similar.
And finally it's coming back, re-watching it just gave me even more hype for the new season.
True! I think the main reason as why the writer create the opposite team like that to emphasize that there really is no "evil" in court. Simply only the team that want to win, and to achieve that another team /must/ lose.
@@danskukoivisto2314 But its only coming out next winter in 2020
so sad we need it now uuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhgadshdahzghn!!!!
@@fireball7562 i think it means the start of 2020 january, but not sure :D
Honestly seeing Kageyama say "I'll only feel despair when I cant play volleyball anymore" reminded me of the Nekoma coach in season one. When it comes to volleyball, Hinata and Kageyama really are a pair of Oni, and you best stay out of their way
Thats the one thing from anime i wish i had in life, a passion worth being lost in.
Exactly. After watching haikyuu I noticed that I'm not passionate about anything, there's nothing that makes my heart beat out of excitement, I just feel empty sometimes.
crystal same, and it's sad :(
Same, I played volleyball before watching Haikyuu and it made me realise that I didnt really care or were passionate enough about it. If my team lost I would just shrug and continue with my life, sometimes I was happy that I didnt have to be on the court again. Sorry for he bad english it isnt my first language lol
well u can develop it when u get that one moment and acknowlegment
Exactly
WAIT A MINUTE DID ANYONE SEE THAT AT 6:37
LOL YEAH WHAT
Nai Nai yes
Yeah.. I lost a bet, lol
Aleczandxr not gonna lie, I’m kinda happy you lost that bet 😂
He lost and odds are to me in class
This part gave me chills 0:00 ~ 11:36
I remember I liked volleyball even before watching haikyuu. It was a sport which thrilled me more than any other, but as short as more (4'8'') it's kinda messy. Everyday I watched 3/4 episodes of haikyuu and went to my backyard and started just hitting the ball until the sun went down. I just kept practising alone at home, hitting endlessly to a wall, receiving by myself because there was no other way I could explain the inspiration and hype haikyuu gave me to keep striving up. I moved to another town and started highschool and I could I finally join the volley team after insisting months and months to my parents. Tbh the teacher isn't the best. She makes me wanna stop practising. She's harsh and I don't feel like learning that much. But I still wanna be there. I hit a down spot in volleyball the first semester bc I was really really bad at it, and with every match, I became more nervous and sad bc I knew I wasn't enough. I was just good in doing clean serves and aces. I've been in the team two years now and I'm kinda decent. But haikyuu just pushes me to the limit and beyond. Every time I feel bad in a match I try to think abt all the series has taught me abt ,not only in volley but in life.
Lol I even remember the feeling I had when I made my first spike in a match and scored a point. Oh god that was so great. Haikyuu just expresses how thrilling volleyball is and thus why I love it so much. Idk I just love haikyuu so much because it gives me the inspiration to keep going in something I love and teaches me to never stop striving to the stop plus the great character development, vision and dreams of not only karasuno but players :)
The way you dive into the psychology of the players and their mentality is unreal and Mainly why I have subscribed great video!
Thank you!
I love all your Haikyuu videos. I rewatch them everytime I want to get motivated for writing. Your analysis is amazing and edited perfectly
Thank you very much.
god, same here!
Haikyuu is a pretty relatable anime, specially for high school students.
Like, literally every problem, every scenario that occurred in the anime are real high school students problem. Grades, Lack of motivation, Graduation, Rivalries, Not taking the sport seriously, underdogs, newbies etc.
Agreed. I'm an athlete and no matter how good you are, you will experience defeat and what you do after that defines who you are not just as an athlete, but as a person. Went to state for baseball my senior year and we loss by one run. But now I am a starter in college. And I wasn't even a starter in high school. Haikyuu made me cry, even in parts where it wasn't sad because I understand. But I'm thankful for Haikyuu. Made me want to reach for the top again. Work hard guys. Y'all will definitely make it. Get back up and keep going.
9:20 I love how tsukki is the only one who isn't crying
Everytime I want to give up or not go to the gym I love to watch this anime and another one of my favourites MHA I went from a fat kid who did nothing but play games to a starter on our schools basketball team. To be honest this is one of the shows that have kept me living. You say run and Battle of Concepts keeps me moving forward and I promised myself I'm never giving up again.
went from a timid skinny dude to a proud starting defensive end Moral of the story set a goal push for it and eventually you'll be there without even knowing it
It’s a good day when Aleczandxr uploads a Haikyuu video. Also 6:37
yes i could get that :P
Episode 16 was absolutely amazing. Especially for those who played sports and knew exactly what lots of those characters were going through.
VOLLEYBALL IS A SPORT WHERE YOU'RE ALWAYS LOOKING UP!
Honestly, I didn't really know what to expect from this show going in, I was really just bored and in the mood for some sports anime, but haikyuu reignited my love of sports that had been slowly fading since my freshman year of high school. I'm a senior now and captain of the soccer team, and I'm more motivated now than ever to win, since I don't want to stop playing, but that reality is fast approaching. I guess that's why I resonate with daichi, suga and asahi so much.
ive never had that feeling before, that strive to win, that absolute passion for something. it seems like such an awesome feeling.
Lolz, same, but I bet it's over rated
@@GabrieleLonghin it's not. It is truly an amazing feeling and you can always go out to seek it!
Play a sport, even if you aren’t built for sports just play. Or even just a competition.
same. I've never felt that kind of drive for anything, the adrenaline of wanting to do something i love more and having to win for it. it sounds great, so it's kinda sad that we've never experienced it.
You're pathetic
I cried watching this, I felt this in my soul as a volleyball player. It reminded me of times my team pushed so hard and just fell short , it might’ve not mattered to my team but it killed me
When season 2 and 3 where airing I watched weekly as the episodes came out. I usually had a game on Saturday, so I would watch the episode in the morning and be super pumped during the game. Those were the good old days. Last year, I hardly got to play at all, and it was so painful to stand on the side and try to cheer on the team but ultimately mostly get defeated. At the same time, parts of our team were splitting up under the pressure and dragging the team down further by expecting too much. This year, I’m taking a break, only practicing once a week with my old team because they need extra players to play six on six. Still, this is the least amount of volleyball I’ve had in my life since I was 10, and now I’m 23. I hope I find my way back to the volleyball that made me smile every single day.
I love that you use eng sub scenes instead of eng dub.
Honestly I'm not usually a sub purist, in fact I actually prefer watching some anime dubbed (Inuyasha, Dragonball, and My Hero Academia come to mind although MHA I dont mind the sub and there are some lines that are just better subbed)
But I cannot stand the english dub of Haikyuu. Its Hinatas voice, it doeant match the character at all.
"It all depends on if you have that moment or not. It doesn't really matter what happens in the future, or if you can win your next match. The joy you feel beating the guy in front of you, and when you're able to pull out 120% of your potential, is everything. ........... But once that moment arrives for you, that's the moment you'll be hooked on volleyball."
Thank you very much for the video! I love when you talk about Haikyuu as it is one of my main animes I watch for feeling motivated and passionate again. I tend to lose sight of it (thanks depression!) and your videos play another part in regaining that. Alrighty, please keep doing what you do, it is very much appreciated!
You’re very welcome!
YES I love Haikyuu, I knew you would talk more about it
Oh, hell yeah! Haikyuu! I was waiting for this!
Every Haikyuu vid just deepens my love for this show. Thanks Alecz!!
No shipping tho ok everyone
Why no shipping? I mean I don't do it. But It's usually harmless.
Sport anime seriously have some of the most nicest fandoms I've ever encountered. It's beautiful.
Excellent video, Haikyuu!! is brilliant and so is your content o.o!!
Thanks!
This is fantastic as well as your other videos. You captured the essence of Haikyuu so well I can only nod every minute or so.
Thanks very much.
1:30 Hinata will do anything to avoid this feeling because its his fear....And because he faced the fear twice which is Kitagawa Daiichi vs Yukigaoka (Kageyama and Hinata's Junior Highs) and their previous match against Aoba Johsai. I think he isn't just curious, I think he is also reflecting. Telling himself "oh so that's how I look like loosing" and telling himself to try his best to avoid that feeling.
I say this to my team every time the ask why I'm try harding in unrated while I play in Val
i actually went to your channel hoping for a new haikyuu video ant it's actually there!!
Great video! Haikyuu is one of my all time favorite shows and seeing this video made it that much more clear why i do.
keep doing what you're doing to give other people the same experience
Thanks! Why not subscribe? Then you’d be notified and wouldn’t have to check, lol.
Great Video! this is why I love Haikyuu and sports in general. Working hard, losing, getting back up, working hard and eventually (and hopefully) winning in the end. Stay Motivated!
Thanks!
These Haikyuu videos man! They just HIT right in that damn KOKORO!!!! You gotta love that sheer passion that you feel when you watch Hinata & Co. giving their souls to the game! Nice one again, sir!
Thanks!
I'm on a Haikyuu video binge and loving it.
This is why I love this anime it gives me hope
Your sport anime videos are amazing. As a fan of KnB and Haikyuu I can say for sure you understand them on a whole new level. Hope you make one on Diamond no Ace too, it is an amazing anime aswell, with a lot more depth than most think
Nobody tells it like Aleczandxr does... Honest 💯
Thanks!
Just appreciating quality work man... 👍
evolution, hunger for learning, practicing and always leveling up. Seeing challenges as excitement for new experiences, learning from it and how to stand up after being crushed by continuously improving. Being humble to learn and eager to learn. I could forget that we should never underestimate being a ball boy and being a villager B can also do something cool. Being small and not really good doesnt mean helplessness and uselessness..
6:36 LMAO
Keep on playing and pausing and you will get a pic of Yahaba picking up the ball for Yachi xD
I'm surprised no one noticed this.
People noticed it - check the pinned comment lol
@@Aleczandxr Woah respecc u legit respond to every one of ur viewers, that earns a sub man. For that and ur incredible content especially on haikyuu. and u have good memes xD

No matter how many of your videos i watch how you portray some events in the shows you mention always give me another way to look at them. Thanks for the amazing work you always put out.
You're totally welcome!
@@Aleczandxr Holy shit, Thank you for the reply!!
Very well made video my dude!
I love how Haikyuu always makes it to CZcams in forms like this video where people just digest the anime and how the author tells the story in detail. Haikyuu is one of those animes where you can never get tired of, no matter how many times you watch it. Everything from the story, teams, character developments, humor, and so on, are just very relatable and applies to almost everything in life. And I think that is one of the few reasons why back when Kuroko was THE sports anime, Haikyuu just pummels it with this beautiful anime.
One of my favorite scenes in Haikyuu will always be the hype moments for Hinata. The feeling you get when, for example, at the last point against Aoba Josai, when he screamed.... Man, you can't not tell me how hyped you get!
Much obliged.
You deserve way more subscribers! You always bring great interpretations of an anime to your platform. I really appreciate your videos because imo it's really the best in terms of analytical anime videos.
Thank you!
I barely comment but i love your audio. It sounds like its coming from behind and it feels very calming. Thank you

Great video!
having started playing volleyball at 19, i really wish i had seen the beauty in the sport when i was younger and maybe even would have had a chance to get really good and join a pro team :/
I understand, I've only started playing less than a year ago as a senior in university. I feel saddened by the fact that I won't be able to play in my club much longer, but that doesn't mean the end.
There are volleyball clubs everywhere, and if there isn't then find a way to get people to play. Never give up on doing what you want. You might not make a pro team or even be the best in your rec league, but just be happy you can play the game you love.
Dude you just made me feel like I have to watch over all the seasons of my favorite anime again, fuck you, I love you.
