Hi there, my name is Eero Westerberg and I am the head coach of VAHVA Fitness. My specialty lies in mixing the Western and Eastern knowledge of health and fitness together into a combination that actually works, is proven and produces real tangible results.
I developed my methods by studying health & wellness and strength & conditioning for over a decade and by working as a professional in the field since 2015. Together with my training partner Samuli, we also traveled the world for over 4 years researching different ancient methods of strengthening and taking care of the human body.
Our programs and courses are well praised and endorsed by countless personal trainers, teachers and coaches, PhDs in physical therapy, physiotherapists, martial artists, recreational and professional athletes and many others just to name a few.
Although our training goes deeper than the surface and offers unique ways of developing the body and realizing one's potential, we also have complete beginners starting out with our methods.
It doesn't matter whether you are in the beginning or at advanced stages in your physical journey, sky is the limit for all of us and we all want to look better, feel better and most importantly move better.

I have only seen barefoot shoes since 2017, my ankles, calves and shins are much stronger, I have no longer had ingrown toenails or even pain in my knees caused by the angle of the heel of common shoes.
I recommend everyone to have this experience, it does you good and reconnects you with the ground.
I'm currently owning 6 pairs of Leguanos! I bought the first pair in 2011. Obviously I am very happy with them. It is true though that switching from "normal" shoes to barefoot is weird in the beginning.
Also an important aspect for me is that most of the Leguanos can be washed in the washing machine.
(Note: I'm not affiliated with that company. I paid for all my shoes, and they were quite pricy! 😊)
I have been running barefoot or with the most minimal shoes since 2006. I got rid of all my injuries. I was injured every day wearing conventional footwear. People are incredibly rude and stupid about it. How I am crazy or how I lost my shoes. I have started to say well I may have lost my shoes but not my manners. Mind your own damn business all you haters. This is the best for ME. If it doesn’t work for you, cool. Don’t run barefoot. I also ran part of my Ironman barefoot even though shoes were required. (I had huaraches tucked into my running belt so I met the requirement. The rules didn’t specify where I wore them).
Does anybody have a good link for barefoot shoes?
what if you wear orthotics, can you still use barefoot shoes?
Buyed my first pair of vibram in 2012. Never left them since. I agree with every point you’ve touched!🔝👏🙏
Hey Eero...new look?~ :o) You were looking like Jesus there for a bit! Lol!
Eero...sorry, I don't know what the background sound is supposed to be, but I can;t deal with it. I prefer silence so you are easy to hear.
It’s only in the beginning for a short time
@@Vahvafitness LOL! I have been a fan of your work for many years. Oddly, a few days ago I bought some barefoot shoes and love them. I got them on Amazon for $15! Keep up the good work! :o)
@@Vahvafitness I'm at 12:56 and still the yelling kids! :o/
i'm on year 5, and 3d pair of Vivos, never going back. might try the leguanos next! :)
I have both. I like the Vivos a bit better. But both are nice. My only gripe with the Leguanos is that the brass lacing is a bit sharp and it rips laces apart. Probably an issue only with the specific style I have.
Hey bro, a big part of your marketing campaign was how you were going to compete in mma to test everything you've learned, but you slowly moved away from that since then, now you never bring that up anymore. Any reason for that?
It was not a marketing campaign but reality. I’m training and more seriously than before. Only 2 months ago I published a big video with my MMA coach Nordine Taleb, and from my shorts you can find quite a lot of pad training sessions
@@Vahvafitness So you're saying you will be pursuing a professional MMA career? I take it you're no younger than 30 at this point, seems quite the task with no amateur experience too, even for a 20 year old.. Well good luck with everything I guess.
@@simobechmak5066 I'm just focusing on improvement. Being a professional fighter is a tough way to earn a living even if you are good, the risks are extreme. Almost any 20 or 30 year old can become a professional fighter with enough training and dedication
@@Vahvafitness Yeah I get it bro, sorry if I came off a bit interrogative, it sure is tough and tests the very spirit and grit of people. Good luck with your project.
These caused a dear friend of mine to have his feet collapse. Be very careful.
nonsense. hormonal dysfunction and hypothyroidism caused that
Maybe it was the lack of development and strength in his foot giving way, when he went straight to no support after having a lifetime of foot coddling.
The shoes basically mimic very closely natural bare feet with some minimal padding and that’s it. I share some advice after 12:47. Our society is in a very sad shape if natural bare feet functions cause people’s feet to collapse, but this can indeed be the case for some people whose feet and ankles have basically atrophied. It’s almost like walking with crutches all your life when you never needed them in reality
@@Vahvafitness this was someone that biked hundreds of miles every week, up and down very steep roads to and from work. Very healthy conscious family, very diaper in on their diet as well. I don't know what to tell you, I'm just telling the truth about what happened.
@@smiles564bikers usually wear very stiff shoes, that does not help developing the strength of the feet.
I'm at 3yrs Bearfoot© lol thanks Mad Scientist Chris Duffin

One thing I love about the human body is the insane adaptability. You could have the worst walking habits ever: severe heel striking, loud footsteps and everything. You could have these habits for even 20 years - and yet the first time you step outside barefoot, you'll automatically revert back to the natural way within literally one minute: silent footsteps, no heel striking... Because suddenly your feet feel everything - and every unnatural movement is either extremely painful or requires too much energy.
Heel striking on concrete will destroy your heels, so you automatically, almost subconsciously, start stepping with your whole foot.
Stomping loud footsteps consume so much energy, and now that there's no cushioning to conserve this energy, you will feel tired after just 5 steps. So you immediately switch to soft, silent, yet firm and stable steps.
And believe me, walking barefoot hurts like hell, especially on gravel and rocks. But once you come home and get some rest, the blood still rushing through your feet will give you a constant massage for even 2 or 3 days straight and it'll feel like heaven.
Xero or Lems are great brands for the barefoot shoes!
I tried the toe shoes made my feet all the way to my back hurt bad plus you feel every little pebble
It usually takes 1-3 weeks for the feet to get used to it but it’s well worth it.
🎉
😊
These barefoot shoes are expensive
😂
😢
I have been wearing barefoot shoes for at least 20 years. Vibram 5 fingers is the longest, then viva barefoot
Nice!
