Weck is so ahead of the curve. People mistake him for crazy. He's just passionate about this shit.
If you do anything with as much enthusiasm as this guy it will feel like a workout.
Hell yes
Accurate
😂
Agreed completely
Just listening to him talk is a workout. My ears feel like they just ran a 400.
Dude is really like the Quinton Tarantino of workouts
hahaha
😂
Honestly, that coiled swing is a gold exercise. Wasn't sure what to make of it when I first saw it, few practices later, yeah its good
Let us know when your elbows hurt.
@@devinreed5725 doing fine so far but I'll be sure to let you know
@@devinreed5725 if you trian your tendons and ligaments you will be fine
How does it feel on your lower back?
@@Walruz1000 yeah good question, great honestly. More, obliques is that the word? Sides, sides and shoulders. I do good on my deadlifts and jeffersons tho, my back is never really an issue. Get your swings nice and solid before starting this one I'd say, or go down a bell or two in weight, the angles do change things
This guy is like doc Emett Brown from back to the future... hes fckin crazy, but he knows what he is talking about... its amazing!!! All of these thing work!
I was just telling my son the other day about the commonalities in athletic stances. I was teaching him to throw a football using a boxing/striking stance. I'm glad to see I was on the right track. My mind is always working!
David Weck has great energy and enthusiasm and really knows his stuff.. love the Bruce Lee wisdom too.. thanks for this video...missed the punch out ... peace.
Weck is either a Mad Genius....or he's just Nuts!!
Nuts100%
@@goranlazarevski3007 yeah, there's a feeling that this is nonsense.
@@carljacobson7156He's a genius. He also lives on the edge of sanity but that's how he creates things no one else thinks.
Love the enthusiasm. Looks like 2 good variants for KB work. The best part is watching the facial reactions on the two guys sitting on the benches in the back.
some of the most innovative stuff i've seen in a minute! Appreciate it.
Both the walking coil and the swing pause coil are the real deal when I first tried it. Talk about firing up the core!!! Great training!!!
Great video! The timing is spot on. These exercises are awesome. Question for you... have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a muscle-building meal plan from them that's worked wonders for me.
Seeing that it costs money, its a straight 0/10
David is such a funny crazy guy and amazing coach at same time!
As a Dline coach watching this was a blessing. Dope idea ill teach my kids
Meth is a hell of a drug
0:06 Jurassic Pork
🤠🤠🤠
That swing and twist is going to cause someone bad shoulder damage. You have internal rotation of the shoulder, with shoulder elevation, and in an abrupt movement pattern.
I bet when Phil sits down to think about it, he may not ever program this in.
Could be wrong though!
Yeah I thought about that too. I tried a few reps with that in mind & it seems that you should lessen the movement with the shoulder and focus more upon coiling deeper to the opposite side so that there is more stacking of the upper body
@@josephmoore977 I think I get what you are saying, so there would be more of a lateral side bend at the hips?
@@319jmp yes, exactly. It becomes almost a "side crunch." I also think that people should try it slower with a significantly lighter weight to develop proper motor patterns first before increasing to the size of weights that he was using in the video.
I agree, better off just doing one arm swings or side to side swings
Don’t rely on the shoulder -the shoulder joint. Use the larger muscle group and support structure. Which is what Weck is teaching.
I think they key is starting light and getting the body mechanics dialed.
Respect man. Love your videos and I love this guy. So much energy.
Great guy to bring on. Will def be using this at the gym.
Love this guy, you 2 really bounce off one another, great content.
Love that Bruce Lee quote he tied in with this awesome exercise! Absorb what is useful discard what is not, add what is uniquely yours and make it better! This is a good stuff!
Define better?
Alot better content than I thought it would be. Awesome stuff.
His energy is contagious lol Love it.
I like the small kb excercise, it mimicks an over/underhook and should help with pummeling.
This dude got unusual energy.
reminds me of dudes on cocaine.
idk that first KB swing looks like a herniated L2 and L3 waiting to happen lmao
When the core braces via fascia it protects the back.
Love that you put dudes info. Your channel is great bro. Love your CZcams shorts too.
That's an inspiring trainer right there !!!👍
Creative and definitely will try it.
This is REALLY interesting stuff and I'm definitely going to try it in tomorrows workout. Thanks for sharing!
Seriously. He is an animated and eccentric dude, but holy shit are these movements and philosophy functional and useful.
Bro is loco and I love it! A few things to add to my workout.
This dude is kinda off and crazy in a great way! And his internal body mechanics are on point. Great combat applications to this.
Genius and crazy are borderline neighbors. And man is he strong. 40 kilos of kettlebell is a lot for those moves.
@@samivellamo3995I agree…coiling 88lbs is impressive
Dude we need some rotational exercises with dumbbells only at home! Thanks in advance!
I love Davids energy. Sneaky strong too
This i will absolutely try!!!
Awesome!
Hahaha he's such a wild guy. Full of passion. In terms of vocabulary for fighters, using the bottom arm as a "frame" might be an easy way for it to click
Love the energy
Colombian Yum-Yum brand of pre-workout in full-effect here. Love the vibes!
Weck looks like mad and enthusiastic scientist 😂
I learned about Weck a couple of years ago and he changed my entire understanding of athletic movement. I've now coupled it with GOATA and am constantly improving my movement.
What's GOATA?
Try This Soon,Phil..thanx
I love this mad scientist type of work outs.
This man is a menace I love it
Great energy
At 12:59, Brother said, "F--K No." I cracked up. He knew he was in for a ride. LOL! How am I just seeing this video and channel now? New Subscriber here!
inspired!
This guy reminds me so much of Crispin Glover from Back to the Future…intense
Bros in the background got some pointers real quick 😂🔥
I don't know enough about human anatomy and biomechanics to assess this properly, but I can't shake off the feeling that this is more likely to give me an injury than provide notable benefits.
Quinton Tarantino of workouts👍👍
I have a 45lb KB at home.. def will try this..
Had to do a double take... Thought Bruce Jenner had returned.. This guys mannerisms, voice, and face is a dead ringer for Bruce... It's uncanny...😂
I want to see him fight and put all his shit into action. Your hand would surely break on impact if you made a fist the way he says. I wonder if Phil daru would use his technique???
And then we differentiate.. Phil: sheeshhhh every rep 🤣🤣👌👌
Awesome stuff 🔥
Estuvo bueno el pase , lo dejo eufórico!! Jaja
4:10 That dude sitting in the back is really not convinced 😂
That is going in my workout mañana hermano 👍🏽
this swing hold is huge
The Iggy Pop of exercise. Love it.
This my dude from the Lifetime Channel lol 🙋🏽♀️
Looks good
The intro with the jurassic park music had me dying
this guy's crazy I like him
Coiled movements - see landmine university for a really good introduction
Interesting fact: That old dude is the inventor of the Bosu Ball.
Good to see quentin tarantino's new career is working out for him
That one on one seminar for free on CZcams
Weck be in his bag
I love that Man ♥️😂
Gold 💯 love to you both 💛 LETS GROWWWW!!!! (Don't patent my line haha -😤 Rr! Darn, I should of already 😅 haha I tell you what - either of you make a shirt that's real comfortable for training saying ● LETS GROWWWW!!!! & ill purchase more than a few) haha 😄 🙏 ❤️ 💪
strange question but does anyone know what shoes the enthusiastic guy is wearing?
Buen ejercicio, lo voy a probar un mes
🎯💪
This dude is King Bumi from Avatar
buddy loves espresso
This is nice, thanks! But that weird punching fist on the other video is a no no for fighting.
wacthing the weck guy is like watching a small dog hyped up on to much caffeine
Holy hyper 😄💪👍
2:45 go slow mo? What does fast mo look like?
This makes a lot of sense, even though it looks ridiculous. I think he embellished these movements for training & demonstration purposes. Implementing them during a fight would probably be less subtle movements. It's actually innovative when you think about it. All of our power is generated through the hips & core so learning to generate torque by utilizing a larger portion of our body (i.e. the spine) would benefit in the production of greater power. While some of these techniques do need to be modified, the principles are absolutely accurate.
He reminds me of Jim Carey's juice skit on Living Color 🤣
man, all these old men doing these heavy moves and people still underapreciate kettlebells...
This is the Quentin Tarantino of the kettlebell world
Kettlebell is a helluva drug.
Awesome!!! Osu
This guy is using a double dose of the Jack3D original formula
In Chinese Kung Fu, you have a concept called Jibengong and a lot of those, very odd, obscure exercises remind me of what this guy is showing. That stuff, back in the day used to taught at first to get people to the point to where they could be effective physically AND to weed out folks that lacked resolution and determination. Jibengong is almost NEVER taught in public Martial Arts schools.
In Karate we call it Hojo Undo. Very similar to what’s being shown here. I do a variety of exercises with 12kg bells for body conditioning and stamina, as well as strength.
And David practices XingYi, TaiChi, BaGua
Jibengong means basic practice, David influenced by that.
@@ch0wned Hojo undo means supporting base practice so it is resemble
You may be too much for some to handle, but, you are a true OG. Pure Gold Mine of fresh ideas! ROTFLMAO after only 5 seconds in. Thanks for keeping it 💯!
awesome!
Did this the last 2 days and man what a difference from straight swings. Adding into daily swing routine.
This looks pretty good
He looks like morbius movie villian character
Lo prove y está la verga de intenso ✨🚀
hmmm 🤔
I honestly thought that guy training was either Henry Thomas or Henry Rollins 😅
Didin't know that Quentin Tarantino is so much into kettlebells
How many bumps did this guy take before he filmed this video?
Было бы круто, с Русским переводом . 💪🙂👍👍
Looks like a good way to get elbow issues.
Yea it’s called the Wrecked Method lol.
