- Just my overall thought of AMD Quarter Panels, and their fitment. There's TONS of info I can share about my rebuilding experience, if you'd like to know more just leave a comment down below! Thanks!
Man ,i remember buying Genuine GM body panels for a 69 Camaro at the local Chevrolet dealership
If only they started making them again, Id pay extra for proper gaps haha.
Had the same issues with my AMD right quarter panel
Hopefully AMD is going to work on these problems
I had the exact same issues with my Right AMD quarter panel on my 69.
Tried 3 right AMD quarters, all 3 had the same issues. Concluded it was a stamping problem.
same on right quarter and rear panel.
Anybody know how good the Goodmark full quarter panels are ??? Also how’s the AMD full floor pan ?
The quarter panels from Sherman fit much better
I've heard they make good panels, never been able to test them myself. I do wish other brands were as in stock as the AMD panels.
I will be needing quarter panels for my 69. Who do you recommend? I'm not big and fabrication body works so I would like to find something that will fit good. Any suggestions?
I do hope the metal used for panels is better than there hoods !
Hey Dillan nice job what did you start with on this it looks like every thing is new I,m new to the channel that is why I,m asking is it a scratch build?
So the car was originally a Vinyl top car and sat outside in the weather for all of its sitting life. Everything was cut except the inner structure for the most part, and the rocker panels are original. The rust was really bad, its had new panels from the firewall and upper cowl to full trunk and full floor panels. I will make a video soon on how the car started, I dont have a ton of video but a lot of pictures for sure!
Any aftermarket parts are going to need gapping be prepared for a lot of work for fitment.
X44 clean, factory air, 307 2bbl, 3speed turbo, not fast, Quick....
personally, i not that impressed with amd parts beings that they charge a premium for parts that wont even bolt on a car and they dont care about us as consumers i tried to contact them but no response
Yeah sadly theyre so hyped up but their quality is lacking on certain panels, some panels fit super well, where as others dont even get close to lining up. The best thing going for AMD right now is how available their parts are, theyre pretty easy to get and usually in stock but at a cost for sure.
