"I think Australians are smart"
"You haven't been in retail very long have you?".......I'm Dead🤣
That was funny. Smart Australians. Not two words you see together very often.

Lmao Naomi’s eyes when they ask “would you do 40%”, when she was probably expecting/willing to go closer to 30
I thought the same thing :-)
@@Jdamnitok haha I saw her face too! She offered a high percentage expecting to be negotiated to maybe 30%... well good for her I suppose lol
And she was supposed to be a good seller...
same thought, of course she also leaving room for negotiation but unfotunately the two did give her a bargain of only asking 5% less
She wants 40% , because she thinks she is NOT going to get a deal - she doesn't have 100k :P
"People's allegiance to quality is as thick as their wallet". So true.
A White yea. i can’t stand steve. but that was a beautiful and very realistic quote
It’s a meaningless quote. People pay more for quality, period. Always have and will.

Steve has a private jet!? Wow I'm gonna start asking people where they are from
He's a pilot too. He posts a lot of photos of him pilotting planes and helicopters on his ig.
Where are you from mate?
hehehe made me chuckle
@@Monkechnology The urge to ask people where they're from intensifies.
How did that come as a surprise?
..and we’re from Adelaide.
Steve: Fuck!(In his head)
Proceeds to cross out “where ya from mate?” from notebook.
😂😂😂
Best comment ive seen the last year on shark tank aus
His notebook is just a list of where people are from and insults about Janine and Naomi 😂
He still has, g'day mate my name is steve baxter
I think Steve struggles in social interactions and asking people where they're from is one of those standard things you can ask that's not offensive.
"You killed it in there!" Yup, 100k for 40% of my company and they told me to shut up not once, but twice. Nailed it lol
she just got equity-rolled lmao🤣
"Australians are smart"
*Gives shark 40% for merely 100K*
Mate you gotta look at the fact that they have many competitors and there not even the leading companies of the Australian margins %40 was a fair deal
8:53
Yeah but they also made over 100k in profit in their first year of trading!
😂😂
@@codynova5498 40% was "fair enough" !! I think she would have gone a bit lower, 35-38%. BUT, the couple will likely make far more with any shark onboard than they have been! Good for the couple and for Naomi. I hope she can do what she said and get them to 100,000 carts sold per year! This is one pitch I'd love to see a follow-up. Although, we don't even know if the deal actually went through.-???
9:41 Ha ha ha! The counter-offer of 40% was a shock to Naomi. She was expecting 20 or 25%. These guys gave her exactly what she wanted. 45% was just her fake bargain opener. Look at how stunned she is that they took the bait right away & then composes herself to hide her excitement.
LOL, she is always baiting. Got the fish this time.
That was a great reaction shot
she must be like “these idiots actually took it wtf” in her hesd
thanks a looootttt for timestamping. It's such a basic thing but people keep on saying comments without writing it.... and i hate those comments.
yup. timestamp helped a lot. yes, u r exactly on point.
Steve always makes the "2 cent" deals. He always says "I'm out" but then he still gives his 2 cents 😂
It’s free advice to the entrepreneurs
Wife: "AND THEN I TALK A LOT"
Husband: "yeah..."
haha shes my aunty
"45% is a big chunk"
can you bring it down a bit, like 44.73%?
@Truth n Logic This year India had 100 Unicorn startups. Only two countries (USA and China) has more unicorn startup than India. So much for Truth and Logic
This is a trash deal 40% is a lot for only 100k
moutaz shloun she baited the woman. even she was surprised with the 40% counter. was looking for a 25% counter, and settle around 30%.
louis cyfer exactly my thoughts, you could see her eyes blow up in surprise when she said 40%. Well played to her though, outplayed the saleswoman
Bro this gets me so sick I swear to god . These multi millionaire sharks are so greedy they always rip off the average entrepreneur. And I don’t blame no one but the entrepreneurs , they shouldn’t get intimidated and do their hw before coming in .
Also they should just at least listen to Steve . He’s always the first one to point out if a shark is trying to rip them off
@@awaisakram8573 No one is forcing them to take the deal. If they feel as though they are being ripped off, they have every right to wait and grow their business and then try get another investor in the future.
With everyday pitch I watch I get more confirmation that Naomi goes only after the deals other sharks have left and where she can lay her big trap and get a big chunk of share of the business in return
Great analysis! She does exactly like that
Not just a big chunk but a nice profit FAST. These are the types of business with a small shelf life. $300 for a foldable cart? The novelty only last so long. So she puts in 100k for fkn 40%!!! Making her a nice profit FAST for however long they last then cashes out and moves on.
I love how she goes, "We've gone INTERNATIONAL!" And then she reveals it's New Zealand. LOL. I said the same thing about my tiny computer business here in the U.S. when I shipped a computer to some dude in Canada. Heh.
That poor bloke wouldnt get a word in with his wife.
She'd have taken it at 33%!!! Poor simps!
2018(shark tank) : we will buy equity
2020: we will sponsor the company in our videos.
From 10% to 40% 🥶

I DIED at the edit at 1:32 😂
PLEASE watch this, tell me I'm not the only one
What exactly are you referring to?
@@UsmanSaleemSulehri 'and we're from Adelaide'

@@HeyChambo oh got it mate.
HeyChambo 🤣 Steve be like "ooh i wanted to ask that"
As the old saying goes: "Small things amuse small minds." 🙄
They would be good in the disability sector as well. I have a disability and its hard to carry to many groceries or other items from the car to the house, or to make more than one trip. This would help a lot. Especially with the items I can lift out of the car but not carry to the house. Also not having to take the cart back to the house, I can simply fold and keep inside, till I make a trip back to the garage again.
No ur just lastly 😂
"after they have to replace theirs in a year from our competitors, they can pay a few dollars more next year and have one that will last forever with us" would be the correct response to that prod.
That was the first time I’ve seen a shark appear as though she may actually eat the business owners.
I've seen folding carts at walmart for years. I bought one myself from uline.
AUSTRALIAS first flolding cart
That look of approval when Steve gets told where they’re from before he has to ask
Naomi's face when they actually wanted to take her deal lol
The way old mate drops the ‘yeh’ at 1:00
This was 100% executed beautifully by Naomi. These are the types of businesses that sell A LOT and fast but dry out and die. There were like 15 foldable carts for half the price when this took place but she knew that a chunk of ppl who dont know better would gladly pay more to support a young mom & pop type business.......for a little while atleast. Gave them a fraction of their evaluation for 40% so by the time people realize they can get the same product for half the price elsewhere, Naomi has already made a nice profit and moves on. 🤣🤣🤣 and if somehow this business has staying power well Naomi has 40% of it!! Either way she knows what shes doing.
What’s wrong with that though?
"We are from Adelaide".
-> quick cut to Steve, the "Where are you from mate?" guy, whose reaction gives the impression he was disappointed he did not get a chance to ask them where they are from.
That was so funny
Naomi clearly been reading the comments, finally made a deal wow
This video is spoiler before watching video. Damm you youtube.
@Dean M So true, Jenny's a waste of chair
Naomi is the Queen of sharks! What an amazing, clever woman. Such an inspiration 💕💕🦈🦈🙏🙏
Unironically though
Holy flamin' Christ, I fell off my horse and dropped my false teeth into my whiskey when they said 40%. It just shows the wisdom of asking for a ludicrously high percentage. Naomi's probably thinking, "I shoulda asked for 400 percent, or maybe even 4000."
Do you reckon she just spotted a couple of fools and went for it? I'm keen to hear what others have to say, cheers.
I didn’t think the deal was that bad.
They should’ve asked about specifics as to what Naomi would bring for her 45%. If their threshold was 40% they should have hit her at 36 - 37% and see what would come up.
Well, that's why she said "Australians are smart"..
"It might be a good time to listen...REBECCA!" [lighting crashes]
Naomi was talking, Rebecca listened. Naomi stopped talking, Rebecca spoke then Steve interrupted. The arrogance is unreal.
The shock om Naomi’s face when they counter with 40% 😭😭😭😭😭
Love how they always cut to steve when they say where they're from 🤣
"Hi sharks,thanks for having us"
*Walks out*
well, she did mention she got chatty when nervous.
i love how the camera focuses on steve as soon as they say they are from Adelaide
But It’s Rebecca’s Chatter That’s The Biggest Obstacle.... 🤣🤣🤣 🎤 drop
Australian shark tank is full of “inventors” who get their ideas while on holiday 🤨
Vietnam saw the lego bricks 🧱
Going to invent that for sure
at 1:32 Steve is actually documenting in his personal journal where everybody is from. That Reaction from Steve... :D
😂
I'm going to Bunnings, I want some of these for my family. They will love them, they can leave them in the boot and take them shopping.
Naomi: "I'm out" *traditional 1.5-second suspense pause* "and for that reason" *another traditional 1.5-second suspense pause* "I'm out."
We have made "the world's first folding cart".
"How did you come up with this idea?"
"We were overseas and saw something like it." LOL
It's always this way with Aussie "inventor" - they take some old idea from America and repackage it for the Aussie audience. I've seen show after show where the inventor just borrowed some old infommercial idea that aired in the States in the 80's or 90's.
Australia’s first foldable cart*
I bought a very similar folding cart from Costco - I think I paid $60-80? It is very sturdy and has lasted me for years with no signs of wear. Their price is way too high. They even mentioned they copied the design while on holiday in another country - so this isn’t something that can be scaled up outside of Australia.
With their margins, they should have worked out an import deal on the similar $60 cart available in the USA, and then be a middleman for distribution.
I wish Dragons den had a link to the business in their description like Shark tank does.
Good lord she robbed them 😂
it's doing pretty bad so whatever :D
Ah really lol
She’s not getting her 100k anytime soon mate . The company is going down the hill as of now
@@TheAntoniobibeto oh no..... they're sinking!

Yes Mr Steve where is your Jet from ? Haha! Love this show - panel & set has a good feel cool look compared to other similar shows worldwide.
They must have been cash strapped to accept that offer.
I don't get it a quick search on ebay and google I found carts which were of significantly better quality for a fraction of a fraction of the price.
Been around for 10 plus years in the states!

Wow I think this'll be great in big cities like here in San Francisco and New York and I would love to have one
She is so greedy... Absolutely nonsense of a deal.. Cutting the valuation of a profitable business to crap..
@Abhrajyoti Das actually if you look at the business now, it’s going downhill and I really doubt she even made her $100k back
Feel free to offer more money for less equity....
Oh, what's that? You don't have have 100k because you don't know how business works???
This program is new to me. I´m familiar with the UK "Dragon´s Den" a show similar to this. What annoys me is the continuous background music. Should remove it altogether as it distract all focus on conversation, at least in my opinion.
cart a lot is awesome!!
They got ripped off bad
Counter offer: 40% She was expecting 33%... Please shut up love.
This deal is the same as those nonsense deals.
Car for sale: 100k
Naomi: I’ll give you 25k
Seller: that’s a deal
they got rinsed
You can buy a sturdy garden cart for probably a hundred bucks US that is essentially this. I'm just having a difficult time imagining this taking off at that price.
Keeping 60% of a bigger business is better than 100% of what they had going in
We get it Steve! You’re rich!
The face steve gave when she said luggage wS like wtf is commercial airplane bruh
Naomi is a clever lil fox
she said it! You have a deal! Finally!
I just hope that they play the background music during the pitch.
3:22 I am dying
Andrew is so nice ♥️
Well...I'm here looking at my cart, a very similar product, that I purchased for 60 USD.
I feel like coming from a Sales rep background, she just wanted to close the deal, at any cost. You have to be flexible in the right areas but also know your numbers in sales and have a limit to what you will do to close a sale. The counter of 40% makes me think this woman won a lot of sales awards because she was only interested in making the sale and not about closing a deal at the right price without giving too much away.
Yep, I've worked with sales people like that and sometimes it drives you up the wall.
Interesting observation! Sounds right.
I've worked as a computer programmer in a company where the salesmen got all the glory. But it seemed they often got the sales and their bonuses by underbidding the job, leaving the problem to the developers to somehow do it within budget - even if it nearly killed them. One of the common stories in the "Corporate Disaster" videos on YT is high flying salesmen winning lots of work and investors and then walking out before it all adds up to bankruptcy.
Soooooo, she said her offer was CONTINGENT on getting into a big retailer and getting costs down- soo, were they able to do that and actually close the deal with the lady in the red dress??? 🤷♀️
The thumbnail shows Naomi taking a bite of the entrepreneurs' valuation
$220? I got one almost exactly like this from Amazon for $60
Naomi called them after the show to say she's out
Did see actually!? Or is this a joke about how she never takes any deals?
I can’t believe their counteroffer 40% I was hopping they would ask 33.5%
I don't know if Australia has a good minimum salary, or every producto presented in this show is REALLY EXPENSIVE
Very few people stay on minimum wage as they age, it’s only young on minimum wage
RUN!!!!!!!!!!!
Man people always talk abt Steve and Edward Banks . but dam Glen is the true champ ! he is worth more if not add everyone's net worth and that would equal to glen . Hats off glen !!
Edward? His name is Andrew
Omg did you see her face when they said 40% she probs would have aggreed at 30/35 😂😂
Steve.. where you form mate lol his making a profile of people where they live its hilarious
8:21 i am afraid of over excitements in formal situations.
Some of these deals don't come to fruition after the show at the closing/paperwork stage. People change their mind when they have some time to think.
It's common for the sharks to get a closer look at the company and back out too
Naomi was greedy and the nice couple were foolish to accept such a bad deal
"we went international, selling to New Zealand....." 🙄
Might as well be one country 😂
Technically it can be
That is international
That was a steal
What blood clotting disorder? I’ve had 3 separate pulmonary embolis in the last 15 years and they still can’t figure out why.
Oh no , kmart copied ??? , check out their foldable beach cart $49 .which have been around at least 5 years !
and 5 minutes later it breaks and is irreparable as this is Kmart nowadays. Plus they use sweat shops and child labour. Although they in the same breath claim responsible sourcing. Prefer something I know would last and could carry things of weight
Her facial expressions are making my face do the same thing
wtf they could have gone negotiating up to 35 or 33% i think, 40% is still quite high smh
40% is a terrible deal. If the person you are going into business with is willing to rip you off to that extent, how can you ever have a decent relationship with them? There really is no excuse for screwing people over like that.
What was naomi gonna do for that 40%??? Nothing....
Andrew ask the question just to help her shut her mouth danm this guy is the best
