Judging from the whole vibe of the Ted videos, this kind of looks like something that started out as a doodle in a notebook and Cusack came up with god knows what backstory in his head. It's hard to put into words, I really vibe with it and I'm glad he's a recurring motif.
My favourite part is when Ted's head expands and terrifies the little boy into running but he only falls to oblivion. The final cry of freedom, of complete abandonment of all sanity and reason and guidance unleashed by the crazed drummer at the very end is a close 2nd.
