When this video was recorded the WiiM Amp didn't yet have Room Correction. Well now it does! Got a WiiM product with room correction? Have you tried it? Does it sound better than no correction? What are your opinions on the WiiM correction specifically? Do you have Magic Beans to compare to? Also where are you using your WiiM product, desktop, two channel, bedroom system, kids system, etc? Let us know your experiences! And thanks for watching! And thanks to all our new subscribers!

Have a good weekend fellas. It's hot as HECK in New York City.😂😂😂😅😅😅😮😮
Update: WiiM Amp also has the room correction update
LFG DUDE
@@iakobkv271 I've done some testing. I think it needs more work.
@@joentell
@@joentell I just tried room correction on my WiiM Amp. It seemed overly aggressive in putting in lots of jagged ripples. I’m a novice at hi-fi but I think it sounded weird.
Instead of using the generated room correction PEQ values, I tried to approximate the general curve of the room correction and made my own manual EQ that was smooth without the many jagged ripples. That seemed to improve the sound while avoiding there being “awkwardness” in the sound and my ears being confused.
@@dtape my experience also
I remember the Win Amp theme Joe N Tell. It really whips the lamas ass.
I believe what you meant to say / are discussing is "Auto Room Correction", correct? For having manual Room Correction available to the end user is a very good thing... regardless of how good the speakers may be. Agree?
They've had the ability to use graphic EQ and Parametric EQ. The new feature they introduced is called room correction. If we want to be technically correct, all of it is really speaker frequency response correction.
@@joentell Agree, however my point being isn't this new feature "Automatic" and therefore not open for tweaking? Plus the fact that it does ALL speakers as a Group... and so wouldn't we all want to instead use Magic Beans and the Manual PEQ? Do I have this correct? Isn't that the better approach to take?
@@johndaddabbo9383 it's not that clear cut. Running the automatic room correction on the WiiM creates PEQ settings which can be changed after. You can think about it as an automatic PEQ filter creator. I do think MB can do a much better job at creating a set of PEQ filters. As of right now, there's still no way to create PEQ's for individual left and right speakers, only a global set that applies to both.
@@joentell - Ahhh, my understanding was that they were to address this (apparently they have yet to... Let's hope they do, as this is crucial) - " As of right now, there's still no way to create PEQ's for individual left and right speakers, only a global set that applies to both."
@@joentell- from the WiiM website... Upcoming Features:
Separate 10-Band PEQ for the Left and Right Channel (6/15)..., and hence I was assuming that it was in this latest update / the update you were all were discussing, however apparently that isn't the case 😢
2 out of 3 on Zoom like Magic Beans but also seem to like wacky weed before starting the chat. Am I right?
No idea what you're saying
boring zoom meeting
Or Harman buying Wiim.
