I ended up with xt15s on my desk Fully Eq'd w a sub underneath (also eq'd and aligned). . Center image focused and through the wall. Width outside of the speakers. Hearing ambiance I didn't know was in some tracks. Sounds beautiful.
Morning fellas.
I have the XT20 for my LCR and they're pretty good. EQ'ing my Micca MB42x (surrounds) doesn't really do much but the XT20 respond to pretty much whatever EQ I throw at it
I just did a comparison of the XT20's with Magic Beans calibration vs the Arendal 1723 THX Bookshelf S. I had my wife listen to make sure I'm not crazy. It's not even close. I prefer the XT20's with calibration. So did my wife by a long shot. I even used a 100Hz high-pass filter on both to ensure it's not just because the Polk has more bass. Her comment was that speaker companies probably hate me. 🤣 The truth is that the Polk XT20's have surprisingly good directivity and take very well to EQ.
I think you meant "Speakers That Pique Joe's Eyes".
Yeah that's it! Was a little tired when I posted this video. Thanks for keeping me on my toes.
Channa deep in thought here
Think outside the box 📦
The Spinorama.org website is awesome all should check it out!
Guys I have Klipsch RP 280Fs RP450C as my front stage Klipsch RP 160Ms as my sides and Klipsch RB 81 IIs as my rears with 4 Polk RM6005 as my heights, I use a DENON X3800 paired with a OSD NERO 5180 powering my front and rear speakers, This is all I can afford and what I have, I don't have a problem with them but how can I make things better
Without measurements that include directivity info, there's not a lot I can tell you.
@@joentell I know Joe and I know how to get you that information but for the Average consumer like myself by the time we learn about informative people such as yourself We have already brought our speakers (2017) and been introduced to something as simple of calibration and many other things
