I found this the same day that I bought my -08. I wanted to see the consumption and navigated around a couple of minutes to find it. But I will say, it's harder to find than in any other car I've had.
Once, you test every button in the car, you find it out quickly. Well, to be honest, Mazda did make it a bit difficult. Every other car all that info is already on the dashboard or There is a Display / Menu button. xD That's why I don't blame all the people who couldn't find the options.
Is there an option to adjust these settings that is NOT on the steering wheel menu, i.e. somewhere on the dash? I am changing head unit and dont hav the harness for keeping steering wheel controls. Thanks.
The headunit is separate from the settings on the menu.( there is a separate wiring harness for the menu display) So you still should be able to use the wheel controls for the menu and stuff, you will lose the media control
Dude, my screens and tacho should and was until recently dimming according to how much light was shiniing on my car and I could manually change it with the same button u change brightness on, but now after pressing it it does nothing and its not dimming day/night, can u please help why?
If it's connected to the headlights, then turn the light to Auto, but if it's something else, then easy way would be disconnect the battery and let the computer reset. Other way, go manually through the settings and turn it back to auto mode, with the help of the mazda owners manual.
You change the clock in the same way you navigate the menu on the car. Once you press the set button, very first thing what you can change is the clock.
i got a 2009 hatchback mazda 6 and it has the same lighting system inside as this one from ur video (red/orange and a lil blue in the radio) but somehow my rpm and kmh clock lights are not red/orange during the day, only in the night they are visible like in the video. also, like every other car that has a good interior lighting system, no matter during the day or night, (for ex) the low beam appears on but not in my mazda. i wonder if i got an electrical problem with the cables any help its appreaciated!
Let's start this problem diving on simple questions, then we dig deeper. Does your Mazda got Auto-light on? Is the dash light turned on to max? Are the light symbol on the dash when your headlights are on?
@@KlavsX_ oh yes, theres only 2 options on that light intensity, low and high, its set on high but only the lil screen that shows the km and trip and heat outside and the radio screen
I have a 2009 Mazda 6 GH, Would you know how to figure out which door of mine is causing a door ajar problem? the red door light comes on when i try locking the car sometimes and blinks randomly as well when locked.
hmm, for that you could check the door mechanism, if the metal that's attached to the car isn't worn down, or is lose. If the latch doesn't make proper contact, you could get such gremlins
good video, can you send me link for this android station? many people said that its impossible to use car computer because of android canbus... in your car its working well
Thank you. Sadly, amazon doesn't sell the headunit anymore, but I can give you the full name of the headunit. If you buy the wrong head unit, that's meant for different car, 100% it won't work. All the people need to add canbus and the input add-on, if they want to control everything with the factory controls. The head unit is called: Eonon GA9498B for Mazda 6 GH, compatible with Bose System Support Bluetooth DSP.
Hello! I have question. My mazda 6 does have “set” button, but when I press it, I only hear beep sound, and that’s it. Cannot change anything. Do you know what it could be. Ps. I have S100 multimedia.
Do you have the same GH model (Made from 2007 - 2012)? My car doesn't make any sound when I use the set (menu) / press buttons. That beep could mean a lot of things.
@@adriancernat4372 Yes, you can activate throught that menu. I just need to make separate video and try it out myself. I want to be double sure that it is actually that.
@@KlavsX_ the first generation has really hidden menu where you can calibrate fuel consumption in range -15% - +15% im missing this option on second gen so im still hoping :D
I was expecting a hidden menu or something similar, but that is the normal way of using the infotainment system.
You would be surprised how many people don't know it.
P.S. There is an actual hidden diagnostic menu for the dashboard.

there are 2 twist dials on your speedo, once of them is trip reset, other is dash light intensity.

Sadly, I don' t think it's possible. You might need to change the unit itself or the module for the screen. One of them

I got the same issue, trying lowering you back right window and see if it does anything, I noticed the window is causing it

@@denisnehez It's for the cruise control. Press "On" to turn it on, get to the speed you want then press Set
@@slothonastick32 Set button is on another side of steering wheel. When I use a cruise control, I only have to press on and thats it.

Unfortunately my set button is on the left joistick . It is the full option car
