    I got one at hobby lobby. It’s same price as yours. Missing a lot of what yours has. No book, I don’t know how to do anything!.. I’m taking it back. Yours is better.

    How do I lubricate the flex shaft? The instruction manual says use multi purpose grease? What is multipurpose grease. Thank you. I enjoyed the video.

    • @knowitallproductions1178
      @knowitallproductions1178 Před rokem

      I just put a “splash” (5-7 drops) of KY lube either directly onto the shaft, and then make sure to work it up & down the entire length of the shaft, as well as fully around as well. More is far better than less Esp when it comes to the tip of the shaft, and I’ll often deliberately apply the lube to the shaft while it’s in close proximity to the work piece, in this way a bit will fall into the workpiece and that will smooth out any hard or rough penetration moves that otherwise take precious time to build up to.
      A generous slathering of such a light lube on your shaft and your work-piece, be it a hook,slot,w-horie (wood(based)-hole opened (by) ramming inside energetically), or even a pipe lay into a dark recess yields better insertion, penetration, performance and productivity with your shaft. When, out of necessity (budget, time = money, last min job, competition attempting to poach your work, client having repeated dissatisfactory with current contractor, etc etc) the situation calls for rapid, high speed, high torque, immediate complete shaft insertion to bottom out, using the alternative back door for exceedingly worn primary cutout, or even the dreaded low battery remaining and no backups on hand, as well as when the client is in need of the job to be completed and doesn’t care about any damages or deformations caused by rough tool usage that commonly leads to,sacrificing on the details in favor of ensuring that the hole is fully filled, and with sufficient force that even if a smaller tool is used hard on the working piece, the client will only summon you from then on out.
      A handyman generates leads & cultivates them by providing quality materials quickly (same day delivery of hard wood), by becoming an expert on how to wield their flexi-shaft to fit every customer’s individual needs well, and knowing when to really hammer the customer’s gaping opening with a special “fleXXX shaft”, and by simply incorporating these foundational practices into YOUR workflow, you’ll find that you barely have time to practice working your shaft on your own due to how frequently your services are being booked.
      While that is a magical & exciting time, it’s important to remember how easily one can badly damage their shaft if they aren’t careful, as well as how quickly you can go from blowing up to bankrupt if you become so rushed, stressed, and/or overworked that you repeatedly have to leave a job unfinished due to battery drain, or when you overdo it on the rapid penetration technique, leading to a very common phenomenon where you finish quite wuickly, but the client isn’t satisfied.
      Just remember, the longer the shaft….. the more lube and additional tool maintenance that will be required…

    Bought a Wen Amazon $18 put flex shaft on unit
    Installed the sand band just try. Would not turn. The sander. Seems like the cable shaft/ tool is slipping…Hmmm I have had numerous rotary tools that lasted 20 years. Maybe less quality these days

    This looks pretty good especially with the light and shield attachments. That's clever how you used it as a router! 👍 I like the hard plastic case with the older ones but the case isn't the most important thing.
    ....❓Is 1.4 amps better than the ones with less amps?❓
    I'm considering this purchase because I'm starting to learn metalsmithing and need an affordable (and good) option... one with a flex shaft for sanding and polishing jewelry. It looks like I could find many uses for this. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
