Thanks for your review. I had the same problem with a Wen rotary tool; I called Wen about it and they sent me another one and it ran perfectly with no deflection in the tools inserted. I also liked the fact that a flex shaft was included with the tool. Overall, I like the Wen tool lineup and own several different ones. They are robust and work very well. Thanks again for your reviews. Keep bringing them.

I purchased 2 different WEN models and BOTH had the same issue, luckily Amazon had no problem with a refund of both. Thanks for watching.

To be fair that clearly is a defect and everything ive heard and experienced with wen they will give you a new one pretty much no questions asked. Ive had to send back a jigsaw from them where the speed dial wheel was shot straight out of the box, it would go from slow speed all the way to max even though i had the dial on 1 and it would fluctuate all in between and i had no control over it. Was actually very dangerous if someone wasnt experienced at all using a tool like that it could catch onto something and rip away from you. I sent it back and they gave me a new one a couple days later

@@ScrollsawVideo im not saying you should, or that you should give them a third chance, because that is really unacceptable for it to have that much runout. id agree with you if youd rather try a different brand. i was just sharing my experince with them i guess

Could also be the collet or...
NEVERMIND! You just held it up closely and I could actually see the movement from behind the nut.
That sux, because I have the same one and it runs true. I was just looking at some rotary accessory kits and was realizing that
I got a good strong higher speed tool with a $20 flex cable in a pretty sturdy case for less than many of the attachment kits cost.
Not too bad for a tool company out of Illinois USA. This thing was cheaper than much of the over produced China replicas. (everyone has a little Chinese in them) I only bought a cheap one because of the name that I recognized. My friend bought a super cheap bench grinder from them
and we have put that thing to work several times messing around trying to make something on a motorcycle or car work that was never designed to.
I'm a carpenter/ contractor/ and I would never buy any sub-par tools that make me money every day, but this was for around the house and garage for those unreachable or delicate adjustments to make a better application or fit, and not for any crafting.

Can I guess that you bought a Chicago Electric? I have one of those also and it is much better than this WEN.
      Thanks for watching.

No I think he's talking about this wen kit and that it comes with the flex shaft and is a decently made rotary tool in general and for the price that many are sold for that don't come with a flex shaft, nice case, decent tool @@ScrollsawVideo
