Since filming this video, I have used the WEN a lot more and it's a very good rotary tool. I've not noticed any difference in quality or performance over Dremels at 2/3/4 times the price.
This is the set I got- amazing value for under $20!- amzn.to/2Kp9xlq

I never heard this company before and thinking it is Chinese company since the name WEN. But, I googled it out. It is American company in Illinois.
Oh really! I just assumed it was a Chinese company
I saw this product in Home Depot website and never use or have one in hand. I bought it because I need to sharpen my hedge trimmer blade. I just received it today and tested it out. During the spinning, I press the orange button near the spinning and it sounds crack crack. You should make a video to show us each function of the rotary tool and what each accessory in the box used for. I have no idea at all. 3 years ago price compared today price is still $22 that I paid for. Thanks for video
Thanks. Don’t press the button in at the front while the tool is spinning as that locks the collet from spinning to make it easier to change bits.
I can't believe these things are only 20 bucks, I paid $22+ for mine and use it for electrical boards, but who knows how long it will last. If its moe than one year with moderate to frequent use, I will be happy with that. I can always replace it .
They are a great price and seem to be as good as the dremels but come with a free flexy shaft thingy that dremel charge $30 for!!
Wen has been around forever they are a well established tool maker, I have had my 23103 for over 2 years now and it is still going very strong
Thanks Beau! Have you suppose to lube the cable?
Thanks. Lube the cable?
Can you use dremel bits and wheels I guess what im asking is the shafts the same size
John
Yes
Can you use Dremel bits and wheels with it
Yes- Think of it as a Dremel with WEN written on the side.
Ok question I just got one and I was testing out the cutting disk and it like flew off and snapped in half ?? Was it to loose ? Or something
Many things can do that- if it’s loose, if it was faulty, I’d you were pressing to hard and it snapped etc.
@@BeauHannamGuitars .,, m.?,
How is this holding up after a year? I am planning on picking this up today - mostly for leatherwork and other assorted things 😅
Still works fine :)- no complaints
@@BeauHannamGuitars thanks 🙏
Is it compatible with dremel accessories
Great info thanks....ordered one.
Glad I could help
thank you Beau
My pleasure :)
Thanks Beau, You rock
You too!
Did the company give you the product for free?
No, I bought it (and never corresponded with WEN, etc) . I have since got an ceiling air filter from them and it does a good job too. Im still using this 2 years on.
this is the slowest speaking human on this planet
Hahahahhah- I edit my videos now!

@@BeauHannamGuitars just bought it
@@joesfarmingshenanigans908 Just as long as its safe to use. I had a dremel where i could see sparks- i just kept using it.
@@BeauHannamGuitars on the inside of it
It's a brushed motor. Perfectly normal.
