I have a Tack Life which I like very much. I used it to replace a dremel. It came with a flex shaft as well. Great machine.

I got a beginner rotery tool love it and now im asking for that one for Christmas
Good Video. I have this model and another Wen model. Compared to the Dremel, they both are about half as strong. When I push into something, it spins slower to where I have to release the even a light pressure to get the wheel going back to speed. I tend to do a tapping motion with these when I need them to work a bit harder than just cleaning.
Hello, I am looking at the WEN, and appreciate the video. For your flag woodwork...if you are doing several..I was wondering if you could get a steel template of stars made so all the sizes and shapes would be uniform. I would assume it would reduce the time you are having to put in on each one also. Take care.
I don’t have it yet but I need to watch the video to see if I can use it. I’ll be using it for crafting.

dude i am buyin one tomorrow im use it to polish the feed ramps on my wife n i guns i have the hyper tough rotory tool n i was just gona get the flex shaft off amazon but u sold me on this wen when u said u had it in ur lap for 1.5hrs n u said it didn't get hot thanks for helpin me make my desition..... I'm totally gone check out ur channel cuz my wife likes the rustic look n i build her stuff out of pallet wood(i worked in pallet shops for 20+ years)

*I bought this same wen 2 years ago and it's been working fine. Bought the flexshaft designed for the wen, same one you have and mine crapped out in a few days. The driveshaft disconnected from the end that you screw into to the wen and so this thing is trash. Just picked up a real dremel flexshaft new for $15 on offerup and fitted it on the wen, works perfect just like a real dremel.*

Got the same model myself, are you still using it? I'm curious if the vibration is as 'bad' on the Dremel 4XXX model, or even another model flex shaft in the Wen unit.

I need Diamond cutting wheels, does Dremel accessories fit Wen Rotary tool?
If they use the same size collet, (typically 1/8”) then yes, they will fit.

Sorry, I’m not sure. At $20 for the tool, I would think it’d be easier just to replace it if they go bad.

This will do anything a Dremel will do. They are the same tool basically. Just made by different companies.

looks ok.. but that loudness when max- similar to a blender sound? Have you tested using the cutting tool? was it ok, I mean blade didn’t fly away? lol 😂
I haven’t used the cutting tool yet. It’s not terribly loud.
Maybe look into getting a foredum rotary tool if your using it for an extended period

Does your flex shaft have alot of wobble with a bit inserted?

Does this easily bog down or will it maintain power under load

Sorry about that. There is a wrench included. You have to stick the included pin in the hole to prevent spinning, then use the wrench to loosen the nut. (make sure it is unplugged when changing bits to prevent accidents)
Shouldn’t the flex shaft be better to prevent vibration?

I just bought it and tried it out. The handle on the flex shaft got really hot quick. All I did was etch out my initials. Am I somehow doing something wrong? Have you had this problem?

I have the same problem. In another review they suggested wiping off the grease from inside flex shaft and replacing with high temperature grease available at Walmart.

Have you perfected your skills with this tool to make the stars the way you want them on your flag? I'm about to get this tool to try it out also.
I haven’t. But I was told that if I was to use plywood for the Union it would engrave much easier with crisp lines. Instead of the pine 1x material I used.
do you think using a straight edge chisel could clean up the stars to your liking? Basically use the tool to carve out everything else.
That would probably work. I’ve seen others use a chisel for the stars.

This tool is sold as a Dremel on eBay, there are many listings all the same. This is the heading of the listings: Dremel MultiPro Grinder Rotary Tools 110V/220V Mini Drill Set 5 Variable Speed. According to Wikipedia Dremel is owned by Bosch since 1993. On the tool you can see the name WEN and Wen is listed for item specifics for brand. I am curious how they can get away with this? Apparently Bosch must not have the right to enforce their Dremel tradename.
Maybe a fake listing on eBay. I've seen some items on there before that were not real or counterfeit.

@@731Woodworks may be it's just my perspective, but one example is when you talk about putting the box cover down your voice is lower due to not actually needing that comment in your video which could come off as nervous or forced.
