Onbored because we were shooting video all night. We knew we were going to start a channel soon. We got this bed in May 2016 and didn't post this video until October 2016. We also use a different brand bed frame, and mattress protector. If we were sponsored by Purple, we would have all Purple stuff. If you look at our videos, we just posted our Frame review a few weeks ago. We have had it for a year now. We have never done a sponsored video. I don't think our channel is big enough for anyone to want to pay us.

I think your chickens will love laying eggs on their purple mattress when you install it in their hen house. Expensive bedding for a barn, but you'll have some very happy chickens! lol
Here's a fun tidbit: My sister was conceived in a barn. My father had just built a small barn in the backyard and they had just installed the incubators for the chickens and laid down fresh hay on the floor. My mom said it was very romantic. I'm sure it would have been more romantic and comfy with a purple mattress in there! :)
edit: Btw, I was conceived on the living room couch. I was always jealous that my sister had a cooler conception story. She, however, was mortified. Which was par for the course when she was a teenager.

For the record i weight about 210 and i put all of my weight on that egg. We did the egg test with the seat cushion too and i sat on the egg.... it didn't break.

I work at ups in one of their warehouses..... there were almost 10 of those things in almost EVERY trailer we unloaded and they were HEAVY! x_x
PyroNinjaGirl we had to carry ours up a flight of stairs. It was not fun! I couldn't imagine having to move these every day.
I feel you. FedEx ground delivery driver here and delivering them by ones self is an incredibly difficult task especially if it's an appartment and I have to go up stairs.

I have the purple mattress OG, this will be my 3rd year sleeping on it. Still just as comfortable as it was on day 30 and shows no sign of wear. I don’t wake up with back pain, and I sleep like a baby! Best investment I made in my sleep.

I came for the mattress review, but stayed for the Rocko's shirt.
I tried the egg test with both me and my 2 year old son jumping and stomping on the egg (in a little baggy of course) and it didn't break or anything. That was even with the matress on the floor since my wife and I wanted to save up for the power base so no springs underneath or anything. First night and it's the best we've tried so far.
+LazyH-Online that's awesome! The powerbase looks amazing. Not sure we would use it much since we don't have a TV in the bedroom.

My mom works for purple mattress and they put this powder on it so it won’t stick together but it’s basically only baby powder cause the sample that didn’t have any powder on it stuck together when applied pressure I really do suggest the purple sheets and the purple pillow and I didn’t know they didn’t have cal king mattresses but the time I commented this there is now a cal king thank you for the awesome review purple loves hearing great reviews from users

Wow... I was totally expecting the egg to break and for you to tell me this bed was a fraud. I may have to buy one of these.
I legit put all my weight on it, and i weight about 210 lbs.
My mattress will be delivered later this week. I hope I am happy with. My current spring mattress from 8 years ago has been hurting me. I have since rotated twice but those two sides are now depressed.

Does it hold it firmness, do you rotate it, does it really keep you cool, is it okay with side and back sleepers, is it medium firm or just firm.. Hi Nelson, It came around 3:30PM. The FedX drive used a 2-wheel dolly to get it from the truck up 2 sets of (6 steps), inside the Apt lobby door and then up another 5 steps to my apt. He said he was glad I wasn't on the top floor, LOL!. He even brought it into the back bedroom and laid it on the floor, directly by the foot of the metal bedframe. I have the Zinus 18" Foldable Queen metal frame. It looks JUST LIKE the one in your video!. But I bought 2 (3/4inch pieces of plywood from HDepot) to put under the mattress and on top of the 'slats' of the frame(my preference only).
It took me a few minutes to get it onto the frame and unwrapped. They don't have the purple covering, just some see-thru plastic covering.(Was wondering if I had a 'returned' mattress?).
I only got about 5 hrs sleep time on it.
I didn't have the mid-back ache after I got up, like I did on the old tempurpedic. I did not have any hip soreness like on the t-pedic.
I am a Side Sleeper, and noticed they my shoulder seemed to get stiff while I was lying on the bed. But I think its because I don't have a pillow, I use a rolled up thick towel.
I DID NOTICE that my waist and lower torso area did NOT sink or
"sway" down into the mattress like on the tempurpedic!!. So it does 'craddle' me.
I got their $ 79 Royal Seat cushion FOR FREE with the bed!! So I MIGHT try using that as my pillow(folded in half?) tonight.
Purple's new Pillows won't ship until March!!!. I'll have to buy some kind of side sleeper pillow before that time!.
I couldn't tell if Purple is "cool" or not because the room was chilly. I had a floor heater on. I did not notice any real 'hot spots' from the areas I laid in though.
2nd day test tonight!.
Here's to a full, pleasant night's sleep :)
tallnubian how do you like it so far? I'm interested in getting a purple myself. And while waiting for the purple pillow to come out I recommend the serta gel side sleeper pillow it is really comfortable and cheap too around 30 dollars on amazon/ebay
the doge, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!. I have been over-sleeping ALOT since Nov 7th, LOL!. Thanks for the tip about the Serta gel side sleeper, I'll check Az for it.
My Purple Queen is excellent!!. BTW, the Royal Seat Cushion I got free for ordering the bed is WONDERFUL as well!!! Glad I didn't have to spend $79 to buy it!
Just an FYI-- Purple is now giving a FREE Sheet set to those ordering the Bed. Their Queen Sheet set is $ 114!!!!.
I have not had ANY Hip pain since I got the bed on 11/7th. The Shoulder stiffness I felt the 1st night sleeping on it has not been felt since!!!. The neck pain has not changed at all, so neither bed has helped that!. It May be my job stressing me out!!! I haven't changed that yet!!!
My back and torso do not feel as tight anymore. All the soreness with my IT Band is finally gone!!.
I don't know if the bed helped that or if the stretching of my hamstrings had done it...OR both.
I think because my body/spine is more level, the heel pain I've been having this year is much reduced!. I don't even wear the night-brace anymore!. I can get up from a night's sleep and actually stand on my heel!...whereas before, I would almost fall over if I tried stand up on it. There is still some tightness in the bottom heel area, but nothing like when I used to get up from tempurpedic mattress.
I have not noticed any 'hot spots' while sleeping in a certain area of the bed, at least NOTHING like on the tempurpedic which would make me feel 'sticky'.
The bed cover is VERY SOFT!, I almost don't want to put a sheet on it! BUT Purple says Jersey sheets and a mattress cover are required to keep the warranty active. I have no intention of sending the bed back, so it doesn't matter to me. I don't have a mattress cover yet. I got two sets of the 100% Modal Jersey Knit sheets from Bed,Bath&Beyond. I was planning to buy the Purple Mattress Cover (they make one for their beds now). I'll try the Serta pillow for now & see if that helps the neck pain.
My sister, niece and a close family friend all have laid on it now and all say the same thing: 'oh, this feels good', 'its really soft' or 'wow this is comfortable'.
They've had to listen to me debate about the OnPurpe or a Latex Mattress/bed for the past 4-5 months now, so I guess they wanted to see what all the fuss was about, LOL!.
tallnubian be careful with that stuff. If you take off the white cover I bet you'll find powder in there. its not safe- honest mattress did videos on it

1 yr later, how did it do, just got my king in about 4 hours ago.. omg moving that thing unboxing it and setting it up alone was a job!! , mine came with a free pillow and it showed up 2 days before the bed, the pillow was amazing you really can tell the diff in temp w it.. hope the bed is just as great. .. edit , nvmd I see your update vid.. about to check it out now

Oh my god! I just ordered a hybrid purple mattress today and I didn’t know they came with sleep masks!! As a 3rd shift worker I’m pretty damn excited about that😂😂
Remember those bluish colored mattresses that for some reason never had covers on them? Felt like laying on denim and whenever you sat on them they'd squoink and pop, then eventually a spring would break out and become a hazard.

lol we are just now hearing about this... I've read a few people who said their bed smelled, but ours really didn't have any smell at all to it.. On the other hand, out pillows did have an odd smell.
