  • This is another video from the water hole that I have maintained in my backyard in Tucson, Arizona for almost 40 years. This one features a bobcat and a desert mule deer at the water hole at the same time. The deer just kept a couple bushes between her and the bobcat. They kept that up for at least a half an hour.

    She looks so delicate! I am so glad you provide water for these animals as they sure need it. Judging by the vegetation very little water reaches this area. Thank you for sharing!

    Awesome footage. I would guess it's not often to "see" Bobcat and Mule deer "fighting" for water in your back yard. Thumbs up from a subscriber in Norway

    Observation: Why is it, in the desert if you have a watering hole. Everything wants to be your friend. In the Pacific Northwest there's a watering hole every 2 feet and NOBODY wants to be your friend! To much Sun does some weird stuff to the brain!

      Because non PNW jerks have infiltrated.... I’m originally from Oregon, used to be so nice there..... I now have land in Alaska for my retirement, everyone there is nice, like Oregon was before the invasion; so don’t tell the Californians or they’ll ruin it, too.

      @@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ NS! Californians already ruined Portland. This place is a drug infested SHI* hole. I'm looking to bail this hole.

    Maybe a stupid question - can that single bobcat take down that mule deer or would it need one more bobcat? Seems like a lot of meat for one bobcat.

      Mule deer are a favorite prey of mountain lions, but bobcat are far too small to do much damage.

    I'm surprised that cat hasn't gotten the deer. You did have a smaller deer coming around. Do you think he got that one?

    • @bobfoster2395
      @bobfoster2395  Před 5 lety

      Nope. They just danced around looking at each other through the bushes, each trying to maintain their dignity without actually getting too excited.
